Fantastic work, very quick response time. Sue lee was able to get back within just a couple of hours and was able to offer competitive rate from citi for mortgage. read more

I highly recommend Sue at Citi! She is professional, incredibly responsive, and genuinely cares about her clients. Though I couldn't finish the process with her this time due to my own situation, I will definitely reach out to her again in the future. If you're looking for a supportive and expert loan officer, Sue is the person to go to. I'd work with her again! read more

Sue is an exceptional loan agent who made our first home-buying experience smooth and stress-free. As first-time buyers, we had many questions, and Sue patiently guided us through every step of the loan process. She was highly responsive, kept us updated in real time, and clearly outlined what to expect at each stage, preapproval, conditional approval and final closing! Thanks to her professionalism and attention to detail, we were able to submit a strong and competitive offer with confidence--one that closed quickly and without issues. Sue's service goes above and beyond, and we highly recommend working with her whether you're buying a new home or refinancing! read more

I can't say enough good things about working with Sue. As a first time home buyer, the whole process can feel overwhelming, but Sue made it so much easier with her guidance. Sue came highly recommended and it was clear that she is knowledgeable and experienced from the very beginning. She is very familiar with the home lending process and helped us navigate every step of the way. Specifically in our case, Sue went above and beyond to help us resolve some last minute issues that came up so that we were able to close on time. Sue always kept in touch, answered all of our questions promptly, and kept us updated throughout the entire process. I absolutely recommend reaching out to Sue for her help with loan services. read more

Great loan service from Sue! She provides us with professional advice and support, guiding us to closing date with great care. Thank you so much! read more

We worked with Sue Lee during our pre approval up until the processing of your loan application and escrow closing. She has been amazingly supportive and was following up with our builders every step of the way even when any processes got stuck. She helped reply even during weekends promptly when the timeline needed it. Not only that, for first time buyers like us, she went through all the steps and explained all the numbers about arms and interest rates and how it would affect our financial future in a way that was very clear to us. We highly recommend her for any banking needs or home application processes. She is also fun to talk to and makes it very comfortable to approach her with any questions we have. My husband and I are grateful for her help! read more

I seen lot of positive review and thought of using her service. She does not have time to even reply to email so find someone who has time. There are lot of citibank mortage banker available who has time to reply your email. If she does not have time to reply, God knows how she will manage with closing mortgage with underwriter. She may be good though but Way too busy for me. read more

This is the second time that we've worked with Sue Lee on our mortgage loan. Sue is a very experienced agent in handling loan applications and providing accurate feedback and alerts in advance for all the specific scenarios that we had, for example, OPT/h1b visa related mortgage qualification in the first time, and now the requirement on rent-back period etc. And Sue always goes above and beyond. She is super professional, patient, responsive and detail focused, which helps to get us prepared and expedite the application. Overall I would strongly recommend Sue to anyone who would want to get loan approved and closed on time. read more

The home lending officer, Sue, really saved our home. Not only she helped us secure a good rate, but also when there came unexpected situations that almost delayed closing, Sue tirelessly facilitated and followed through all the dependency and finally we were able to close on time! This is the second time she had helped us on a mortgage. Every time is a great pleasure and Sue always makes sure it is a smooth process for us. read more

I highly recommend Sue. I worked with 3 lenders to secure my mortgage, Wells Fargo, USBank and Sue (City Bank). Sue came out with flying colors and I am glad I found her. I first saw her reviews here on Yelp and reached out to her. She truly has her customers interest at heart and works very hard to help out her customers, (at least that was our case). I think it is very rare to find this level of dedication and customer service! Thank you Sue! read more

Sue is amazing! 100% recommend Sue for your mortgage! Sue is referred by one of my friend and after talked to Sue, I am impressed by how knowledgeable and responsible Sue is. I am on visa and my funding is diverse. Sue is able to navigate through complicated situation and provide good recommendations. We went back and forth with the closer many many times and Sue is always responsive and organized, and patient. She replied our questions through phone/email, even late at night. She helped us to lock the best rate. Thanks to Sue, our mortgage can close successfully. Will definitely recommend to all my friends! read more

Sue is a very responsible and nice loan agent; We want to express our thanks to Sue and her team for the big help during our home purchase. Sue not only has the professional knowledge on mortgage, but also provides a lot of other useful information/suggestions about the home purchase. Like a friend, she cares more about the customer, not just the case. All that is impressive, she always responded to us so quickly whenever we had any question or needed any help. All in all, our case closed so fast and smoothly because of Sue and her team's good job, which provided us a very wonderful loan experience. Thank you, Sue! read more

Sue saved our home loan! My family cannot express our gratitude enough for her kindness and the professional service she provided in the loan process. After signing the contract, everything looked OK and we sync-ed with the former loan agent closely and regularly. Unfortunately, the former loan agent told us our loan won't be approved by their underwriter, just less than 4 weeks before closing the escrow. You know how stressful it was! Pre-approval and commitment were fine with the former loan agent's bank. The former loan agent referred us to Sue. It was weekend. Sue patiently answered our questions and worked around the clock for our loan application. She explained the loan steps in great details and she also assured us that our loan would be approved by their underwriter. We followed the steps: providing many documents, buy home insurance, appraisal, closing the escrow. Luckily, we successfully closed the escrow! You cannot imagine how exciting we were and how many hurdles we've overcome. The loan "journey" includes a lot of paperwork, time, and processes. That's why you get a pre-approval easy but an underwriter approval hard. You need to have a loan agent who is sufficiently knowledgeable, sufficiently conscientious, and sufficiently considerate so that you get your loan finally approved. This is especially true that your case isn't the easiest one. In the market, agents tend to hunt for the easiest cases but usually they lack the considerations and compassions. If your case is hard or small, "smart" agents walk away. It's hard to find someone who shows good responsibilities for her/his services and brand. And only with these responsible agents, you complete your load/home purchase journey smoothly and hassle-free. I recommend Sue to anyone for their home loans, without any reservations. Good luck with your home purchases. read more

My wife and I want to buy a home in a short period of time. And I am still in OPT to H1B status. Our agent referred us to Sue, and we initially doubt if we can get everything done in a month or two. The result proved our concern is totally unnecessary. Sue knows everything you need, and will give you heads up for upcoming events. She knows a lot of things about different immigration status, thus making our load process smooth and friendly. From being in contract to eventually close, it only takes less than 3 weeks for our case. I don't think other agent can help us making the loan in a short time like that, given I am still in a transition period of my status. Strong recommendation. read more

I don't usually write reviews on Yelp, unless my customer experience is excellent. Sue (and her team) is very professional and responsible for her clients. She knows every detail and took care of almost everything during the loan process. Because of this, I actually didn't worry too much about getting the loan approved after being into the contract. Because my company uses a stock management website that, unlike most other websites, does not provide regular monthly statements, in the beginning it was somewhat difficult to show my cash flow for the purpose of bank statement verification. However, as Sue is very experienced, she quickly came up with a solution to address my special case. Overall, my loan process was very smooth and there was no surprise. I would definitely recommend Sue to my friends if they are looking to get mortgages in the future! read more

Sue Lee is one of the top notch Home Lending specialist in the field. My husband and I had the privilege to work with her in the past few years in sorting out the financing options for our homes. Sue is the only loan agent that could handle our case as we're on F1 visa. She's super patient, nice and responsive. Sue is also very detail oriented. She knows the closing process very well. Sue was able to tell us way ahead of time if we can safely waive the finance contingency or when we can close for sure. All those information really helps, especially for first time home buyers. I have recommended Sue to couple other friends. We all felt grateful that we had Sue on our side to help with the loan. Sue helped my wife and I purchase our 1st house & was a tremendous help in getting through the whole process. She was willing to meet with us at allhours, including a sit down with my wife and I on a Saturday to go over the whole process. She also joined me while I was signing the final paper work at the Title Company and helped clarify a few problems. My loan was certainly far from a simple loan to process. I was getting a Fannie Mae Homepath loan and also qualified for a MCC, so there was some additional paperwork and headaches. Qualifying for the MCC delayed my loan for almost a month, as funds were not availablle as soon as was initially stated. Sue stayed on top of this, however, and made sure my MCC was properly filed as soon as the funds were available. The only issue I had was that Sue calculated my DTI slightly different than the underwriters and I had to juggle some monthly bills a little to qualify per the requirements of the Homepath loan. While my loan process did not go 100% smoothly, I always felt that Sue was there to support me and always responded promptly if I had any questions. She is a great resource for first time (or any) home buyers. read more

Sue gives us great help during our loan process recently. 1. Our situation is more than complicated. We don't have enough credit cards to support credit lines, and we just moved to US a little longer than two years ago. Sue helped me find other credit source and work with CITI to nail them down 2. We bought the property with no contingency, so the time is critical. Sue and her assistant work really hard, sometimes during late hour and weekend. And they are very responsive. Communication is always in a timely manner. They finally get the loan done even two weeks earlier than deadline, and we were able to close the process and start our remolding earlier. 3. Sue is willing to do price match with different banks. We got different quote from different banks. Sue was able to match the lower rate. The whole process is smooth and pleasant, Sue helped us as a first time home buyer in each every step. We would definitely recommend her and use her help and expertise in our re-finance. read more

Sue is very professional, responsible and reliable! She can handle very complicated cases, provide useful advices, and will make her best to optimize your lender's credit and interest rate. As far as I know, Sue is the only mortgage broker that is willing to deal with OPT students buying homes. Yes, if you are in OPT status, you don't need to wait for your H1B to be effective to apply for a loan! Just talk to Sue. read more

Sue is an amazing! We got introduced to her when she was at BOFA but we continue to use her even though she's at Wells Fargo. It should be noted that generally i really dislike Wells Fargo customer service but I still use them since Sue makes it worthwhile. She always makes the process as easy as possible and is extremely knowledgable. Never had a problem she could not solve! An added bonus was that she got us the lowest rate in 40 years! Finding low rates is always hard but finding low rates and a lender who goes way beyond the call of duty is extremely hard. I'm not sure about your experience but I found that a responsive person to help you through the loan process is priceless especially if something unexpected goes wrong. Short answer: I extremely recommend Sue Lee read more

This is my first time writing a review on Yelp, simply because I do have an excellent experience. My expectation for loan agent is to accomplish what she promised, and bring up risk/concerns beforehand. Sue is definitely this kind of agent that I am looking for. She is both PROFESSIONAL, and EXPERIENCED (I highlighted these two words because these are the key factors for strong loan agent). I do believe in her and have high confidence on her. So I strongly recommend her to any customers. I also want to share a few other comments: (1) This is my second time home-buying. I already had experience on purchase loan and refinance, so I know the expectation for a strong loan agent. Sue is definitely one of them. (2) I heard someone complained about documents. My suggestion is, be patient! It is a good thing to see a detailed (although sometime long) document list, because it means that loan agent is carefully reviewing your case. This is in fact a good thing. So be patient about documents. (3) I also have experience on other banks, their loan agent will first promise some nice things, but later they simply drop their promise at the very late stage. If you want to avoid such scenario, I recommend Sue to you! After this purchase, Sue becomes a good friend to us and we thank her (and her team) very much for the guidance! read more

Sue is the best loan agent ever! She is very professional and helpful. This is our first time to do a home mortgage. She gave us a lot explanation on the terms, strategies, how things are working and so on, which is really really helpful. We started with Wells Fargo first but the experience wasn't really good at all. We ended up working with Sue instead and we were surprised that how fast the whole process was. She and her assistant Ofelia helped us a lot on collecting the documents, answering our questions, explaining what's going on. We loved working with Sue. I want to say thank you to Sue and I strongly recommend working with her! read more

This branch is supposed to be a "boutique" of home mortgage loans. Avoid this branch: Poor Customer Service and Disorganized - I was constantly resending the same information over and over again. Sue is a nice person and easy going, but she didn't seem knowledgeable. read more

It was so nice working with Sue! I highly recommend Sue's service for the following reasons: Sue is very professional and technical. She handles complicated mortgage applications such as OPT. We made a few updates in our down payment amount, and Sue always responded within the same day to let us know the updated borrowing capacity. Sue truly cares about her clients. To help us waive the loan contingency and make our offer more appealing, Sue asked the underwriter to prioritize reviewing our case and got the approval letter issued within 3 business days. She was also very patient explaining each step to us (we are first time buyers), letting us know which documents should be prioritized, how to prepare certain documents, and what to expect in the next steps. In summary, if you want a smooth mortgage application process, call Sue now! I cannot be happier with the application experience, the earlier-than-expected closing process, and all the conversations with Sue. Thank you Sue! read more

As many reviews say, Citibank is the only lender we can find that offers conventional loan to F1 OPT holder, and Sue is truly an expert on visa. She is also super quick on loan application and committed to 21 days escrow, which helped make our offer competitive. I would give Sue as many stars as I can! I was under pressure buying a home under a very tight time frame, but when I started the whole process, I didn't have anything prepared, luckily I found Sue. Sue is extremely professional and knowledgable. She has 20+ years experience in mortgage loan, she can basically answer all the questions you ask and handle various difficult situations. As a first time home buyer with US credit history no more than 3.5 years, I thought there would be some problems for me to get the loan approved in time. But Sue not only helped me get the loan, but also made the entire process smooth like butter that she managed to close the escrow in 20 days! Sue cares about her clients very much. She treats me as her friends, very patient and super responsive. She always puts herself into others' shoes, provides suggestions that give you the most benefits. She helped me get more than 3k loan credit to cover a great portion of the closing cost which I never thought about in the first place. Sue has great reputation in local real estate market which brings her clients great advantage in such a competitive market. What's happened to me is that my offer got accepted right away when seller agent heard Sue was working with me ---- when another competitor offering 20k more! Yes, she's so good that every agent would love to work with her! Sue will be my life-time loan agent and I would recommend her to everyone. read more

Once we entered the closing process, we actually did not need to do anything. The whole process was very smooth and free from worry. Sue is also very patient. Want to start off this review with a big thanks to "Sue Lee" for closing our home not only on-time but before time on really aggressive escrow closing terms. We got to know Sue from our realtor just a day after we were in contract, so had very little time and really had to close things fast. Sue is prompt, professional, and knowledgeable, was very happy to work with her, she was very clear what documents that are needed to close things on time. Also Sue was very flexible and locked our rate on Friday late evening, she communicated us during every step of loan process and got us a good rate with low closing cost. Would definitely consider and recommend Sue for financing or re-financing in real-estate. read more

If it was not our seller that wanna stay in the house for more days, she can close of Escrow in 14 days! Can you believe that? She even went to Escrow office together with us on closing day, can you find anyone else will do that? It is also lucky that Sue works for Citibank. Sue just helped me close on my 1st house & was a tremendous resource in helping me close, going far above and beyond my expectations of a lender. We met after hours one weekend and she clarified all my questions about the process. Her CPA background was especially useful for me as it allowed me to apply for an MCC application with full confidence that it would go through without a hitch. Let me detail the positives & negatives with my experience: 1) Was able to remove lender contingencies in 8 business days. She got the lender appraisal out there immediately and called the MCC contact every day to make sure everything was on schedule. 2) Very responsive - I think I called her once while she was in line at the grocery store. In looking at the other reviewers down below, I think communication is a two-way street. It would be nice if everyone instantly responded to their emails but when making the biggest purchase of your life, I think you'd be calling your vendors multiple times a day if you're not getting the service level you expect. 3) Very knowledgeable and attentive to detail - she caught multiple errors in my filing that would have potentially delayed the process, or at worse, made me ineligible for the MCC filing. 4) Very good follow-up. Even after the process was done, she sent me an email and called me about next steps on how to file my taxes next year :) The only con I had was that I felt I wasn't getting the best rate possible & considered going with a direct lender. But considering how slow direct lenders are & how they're unfamiliar with MCC procedure, sticking with Sue was a no brainer for me. Btw, she's no longer with BoA. She's with Wells Fargo at the time of this review. read more

Sue was highly recommended to us by our real estate agent, Edmund Yue, and we met her while securing a loan approval for buying our first home. It took us a year and a half to finally buy our home, and during that time, we had to ask Sue at times to draft an updated approval letter for us. She always did it quickly, no complaints or anything. Whenever we asked her questions (and we had a lot, being first time home buyers), she would patiently answer them, and even give us tips and pointers for buying a home and which properties to avoid. Before making an offer on a home/condo/townhome, we always ran it by Sue first and she would check in the system to see if there was any hidden liens or litigation on the property for us. When our offer on a home was finally accepted, Sue was highly professional and continued to answer our many questions. We decided to put more money down in the middle of the process, and she quickly adjusted the documents to reflect this. We later found out that the underwriter almost didn't approve our loan because of a technicality (not because of funding), and Sue fought hard for us,even bringing in her manager so that we could get approved. She also surprised us on the title signing day by driving all the way over (her office was an hour away) to be present and make sure all the loan documents were correct. The title officer commented that loan officers generally don't attend these meetings, but Sue said she always did. She also surprised us with a lower interest rate that she managed to secure for us (without our knowledge) during the loan approval process, which saves us about $40 a month in interest. That adds up over time! Sue worked very well with our agent Edmund, and together they made a fantastic team. She was personable and treated us like family, not like business clients. She continually looked out for our family's best interests. We have been recommending Sue to all our friends looking to buy a home. When we are ready to buy another property, we will certainly be calling her again! read more
