I had one of the worst experiences here working with a lender. I will not name her due to respect, but she was not very good in communicating or double checking every one works. The underwriter is horrible as well they made me write statements for the wrong amount about me paying my taxes. First of if you do not know what the closing cost will be then just telling me, I had other lender give me a list of what the fees will cost and this lady just said it could be 40k in closing cost. Now this is during the first conversation I had with them. My heart dropped already because 40k is a lot and that will cut into my home renovations. She kept emailing me about getting these files in right away or this will delay the process within barely the first 10 minutes. I had uploaded all docs within a few hours. At this point buying a new home is already stressful having her push me and talking about delays is putting more stress. She kept asking for more docs over and over. I would have hoped she had given me the list in the first place instead of asking me for the extra docs almost everyday. When I wired the money to my escrow she emails me back with why are you wiring money from an account we have not validated, this bank she was talking about was the bank of the escrow company not mine. Again not reading and putting more pressure on me. After a long 30 day process everything was completed and I get a call from her boss asking me about my experience which was horrible. She told me shes part time and she had over 11 loans to work on, this is not an excuse for bad service if she is over loaded then tell me and I would went with someone else. Fast forward to today. I now get another email from her about a document that I had already provided I'm sure shes lost from the 100s of documents she made me send and it would be easier for her to make me resend it then to look through everything. TIP: Make sure to get someone experienced, Ask them about the process. luckily my closing escrow was 30 days. If this was 17 days I would have been F'd. read more

Had terms agreed in writing with Lee Chieng. Uploaded all personal financial data within 24 hours. A ton of them, including W2 and tax returns. Lee Chieng emailed back: "sorry, we cannot offer you the deal we agreed. But you have choices! a) pay off $70K more of your loan, b) give us $1000 more for closing cost and a 0.125% higher interest." If you were me, which choice do you make? The third one: walk away and never trust them. I told Lee that I have multiple properties and I disclosed the exact number. And when I questioned why they walked away from their offer after I uploaded all financial data, her response was: "we have a pricing engine. We go by what the computer says". Then what do you do besides the computer, Lee?? My guess is that the market rate has changed in just a couple of days and they are walking away from the deal. This experience really leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Stay away from Adeline and the team. No apologies, no concession, nothing! read more

Adeline and her team were very helpful in my recent home purchasing. Without them, I would not be able to complete the transaction on time and on budget. I highly recommend them to anyone for loan related services. Initially, I was working with another loan broker, who provided the pre-approval letter for me. I was pre-approved for 300K but after two weeks into the loan process, he came back and said the bank can only loan 160K and I have to figure out the rest if I want to complete the transaction. How am I going to come up with that much more fund to make up the difference? I only had about 2 weeks left until the scheduled date to close escrow. Luckily, I found Adeline through Yelp based on all the positive reviews. At first, I was skeptical about her ability to get the amount of loan, not to mention she only had 2 weeks to get the loan ready for closing. At the end, having her as my loan agent proved to be my best decision. It took her less than a week to get my loan approved and two weeks later I am a home owner. Day 1(Thursday): I contacted Adeline and provided all the necessary documents for her to evaluate. After few phone conversations, she found the bank and locked the rate for me. My experience with this company was very bad. After seeing all the good reviews I contacted them for a refinance. They provided me with a quote which I agreed to and asked them to lock the rate. They said I have to upload all the documents and after that they would lock the rate. I uploaded the docs. However they took 10 days to review my docs and were very slow. I had to send several reminders to get any response. When they finally came back their prices had changed. When I asked them about the change they said because prices went up. Either they are playing bait and switch or they are so incompetent that they can not quickly do their job. I regret my decision for selecting them for my refinancing needs because I lost so much time and have to start over with some other agency. It was a huge mistake and I would not recommend this firm if you have critical financing needs and want to move fast. read more

I went through a refinance a couple years ago and it was a total pain, right at the end when I was about to sign I realized my payments would have gone up and I would've added to the end of my loan. that was after MONTHS of paperwork. I noticed how good Adeline is by working with two loan agents simultaneously. One agent was Adeline and the other was my old agent who helped me with a couple of re-fi's in the past. I chose two agents to mitigate the risk of low appraisal. Appraisals from both agents came in lower than the purchase price, and I initially chose to go with the other loan agent because her appraisal was slightly better. However, I was going nowhere with the other loan. The lender came back with ridiculous conditions after conditions and we couldn't close. I had to go back to Adeline and re-open her loan. She got back to it quickly and allowed me to close quickly in a matter of few days. I attribute her success to 1) Excellent communication - she lets me and my real estate agent in the loop constantly. I can't say the same thing about my other agent. She is prompt with estimates on cost, monthly payments and closing costs. She has been very prompt in returning my e-mails and phone calls. 2) Good preparation - she anticipates responses from the lender and prepares for them ahead of time. This saves time and avoids surprises. 3) Customer care - I bought and sold 5 homes in the past (plus numerous re-fi's) but she is the only loan agent who actually showed up at the title company to help with loan doc signing. I was a little weary of refinancing, because it seemed like a big hassle. The savings would be in the 10s of thousands but between work and children, it felt like we have no time or energy to refinance. Then one of my coworkers told me about Adeline and just couldn't stop talking about her and how much she helped her with her complex loan when it seemed impossible to refinance. She told me how simple it was and my loan was a lot "simpler" than hers so it would be even easier for me because I had 20% equity.
