Bad broker company ever. Don't follow up mortgage process and keep asking the same documents and look like first time to do the finance . Do not trust the yelp review, it's fake . read more

Used them for two refinancing, can't beat the cost they give you. Shop around and confirm for yourself, these guys saved me more than Geico could. Googain seems more appropriate if you're somewhat familiar with home financing. For your first home purchase you may want someone who can walk you through the process and help you understand everything. read more

Never heard of this company before. Not gonna lie at first it sounded a bit sketchy. But May walked us through every step of the process while being extremely patient. In the end we refinanced with Googain with extremely competitive rates, no fees, and May even managed to cover my appraisal fee from another bank from a previous refi that didn't go through Would work with them again 10/10! read more

Absolutely THE WORST refinance experience!!! I decided to refinance my condo at the beginning of this year and chose to work with loan officer Wayne Ma from Googain through a personal connection. He told me everything I wanted to hear such as good rate, low closing cost, and promised me that we'd be able to close within 30 days after we locked a decent rate at the end of January. It turns out nothing he promised was true. What I learned was that this loan officer was very unprofessional, incompetent, condescending, and dishonest. He was never on top of things to keep me in the loop and there were lots of back and forth on different matters. He would ask for certain documents from me when I had already uploaded them on day one. So he never even reviewed them! I often felt like I had to call and message repeatedly to find out the status of my loan application. He also promised to close by the end of February but that didn't happen. I should have walked away after seeing these bad signs but I was determined to close the deal so I sucked it up and continued to work with him. Huge mistake!! Then it's March. The day before I was supposed to sign my loan docs, I still didn't know the exact closing cost. Normally the loan officer would send a copy of the closing statement from the title company to the client but not in this case. He basically said to me that I'd know the cost when I meet with the notary. I was so shocked. How I'm supposed to sign without knowing the cost? What if I don't agree with or have questions about some of the fees? Even the notary was surprised and said borrowers would most definitely have seen these documents a million times before they sign. So he finally agreed to send me the closing statement and of course there were charges I didn't agree or had questions of. After that was resolved, I met with the notary and signed the documents thinking that'd be the end of it. I was wrong AGAIN!! After I wire transferred the full amount of the closing cost to the title company, my loan officer disappeared. I called and texted him for at least 20 times throughout the day. No response. I had to call the title company myself to find out the funding status of my loan. The title company told me that they had not heard from my lender either. Finally he called me back at 9pm and told me that they would not be able to fund my loan until 5 days later. By then my rate would have expired. I was beyond furious!!! He never apologized for not returning my messages and calls and simply brushed it off saying he was busy working. He even asked me to wait until my rate lock expires which would incur hefty fines that he said he'd waive. I just could not listen to more of his lies!!! I canceled my loan immediately the next day as borrowers have 3 days by law to cancel the loan without any penalty. I got my closing cost back from the title company quickly. Although I paid a condo certification up front which he promised to reimburse the cost but never did!!! This lender and this particular loan officer wasted all my precious time and money. I can't imagine their business would be able to survive with this low level of service and ethics. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy!!! STAY AWAY!!! read more

Zhaoyi Jessica Liu is a such knowledgeable and pleasant agent to work with. I'm very happy the rates that she helped me to get in the past and this year as well. She was referred by a family member, and now I'm proudly to refer her to my friends. read more

Magic Li has been very helpful on our home refinance process with Googain recently. When the mortgage rate fell to historical low point recently, we decided to take this opportunity for refinance and would like to find someone we can trust, whom Magic has been for us. The proactive updates on daily/weekly rate change and the recommendations she provided to us has been instrumental for our decision making. We were able to achieve the desired mortgage rate and save a considerable amount per month after all. The underwriting process within Googain seems to be pretty rigorous, requesting a comprehensive list of supporting, which I feel shows a good quality loan process that a leader company needs to have. read more

I was referred to Fiona by my agent. Fiona was so helpful from day 1. She lead us every step of the way during the whole process. She worked very hard to close our loan on time. I even lost hope to close on time. But she made it happen!! I am so thankful for everything Fiona and her team has done for us!! I would recommend Fiona to anyone!!!! read more

Very shady practice. I was in an escrow for my son's new house, and Googain's Fay and Grace would drop off the radar oftentimes when we needed updates on the underwriting. They created unnecessary tension between all parties and failed to close on time. We had to beg for an extension from the sellers! read more

I am very satisfied with the rate and services I got from Googain. Stephanie Xu is the best loan officer you can have. She is professional, very responsive, and detail-oriented. She answers my calls and texts right way all the time and explained the process patiently to me. I have had a very smooth escrow closing for my new house thanks to Stephanie and Googain. read more

The worst lender ever that I have been seen. Working unprofessional and rude customer service. We've been asked for unnecessary documents and made us very stressful through the entire loan process. Once we got our loan then they sold it to different lender. Do not recommend. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Hong as my broker. As a first time home buyer, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The amount of paperwork and documents to submit was highly confusing to me. Hong took the time to talk me through, explain every little detail, and present different mortgage options to pick the one that was most suited for me. With the competitiveness of home purchasing in the bay area, speed and responsiveness is everything. Hong was there throughout the process regardless of the business hours. I ended up getting a fantastic rate with all the first time home buyer benefits. If I ever purchase another home, this is the place to go! read more

Hong is great getting my refinance done. Responsive, details in the explanation and patient. Both thumbs up. Recommended.

It's my first time in life buying a Home, my friend introduced Shaodan to me since she helped them when they refinance their home for a better rate. I really glad made the decision to let Shaodan help me for the whole process!!! Pre-approval letter came in a really short time, and make me able to send offer to seller as first few buyer. During the purchase they offer a very competitive rate at the time. I do struggle a little bit for the closing date, due to seller supplied wrong HOA document, but Shaodan continuous helping me to get right document and pushing for the whole process, that makes everything happen at the end. To sum up, wonderful experience with true PROs in the field. If you ask me will I choose Googain again if I need any kind of mortgage or loan, the answer is yes, period. read more

The way she competently handles things calmed our worries. She truly is an empathetic and trustworthy person, who worked tirelessly for me and my family. Hong Hu helped us on the mortgage process of our first home purchase. He is very professional and experienced, and super responsive regardless of business hours or evenings/weekends. It was a newly built home that we were purchasing. Initially we were solely working with the builder's mortgage company, when the final interest rate was revealed 30 days prior to the closing date, we were so surprised as it was much higher than what we expected. Apparently we were freaked out, but we decided to try our luck with Hong, as our friends referred. Hong said he would try his best, yet he did not promise he could make it and he suggested me to work with my previous mortgage company simultaneously -- that is one thing that I like Hong, obviously there are lots of uncertainties through out the mortgage process that are beyond his control, and he will not make his promise until he is 100% sure, which helped us a lot to get well prepared in advance. Within less than 30 days, Hong put tremendous efforts on our case. He was able to tackle all the difficulties, such as retrieving the needed paperwork from the super unresponsive builder and HOA insurance provider, and working with the inefficient escrow company. With all his help, we were able to close on time with him, with 0.5% interest rate lower than the initial one. We are 120% satisfied with Hong's professional service, and we would like to recommend him to all future home owners. read more

My husband and I were looking to refinance our home mortgage, so we decided to contact a couple of loan consultants. Lillian Luo came highly recommended, so I called her and she immediately gave us a great interest rate. She gave us guidance on what we needed to fast track the process, which took about two days after we submitted our paperwork to her team. Whenever we had a question, Lillian would get back to us right away, and she would contact us if anything was urgent that needed to be taken care of. Although there were a couple of issues with our documentation, she and her team made sure to get them rectified. The process was seamless, simple, and fast on their part. It was wonderful working with Lillian, who is professional, patient, and knowledgeable, and her delightful team. We would definitely recommend her to family and friends. Thank you, Lillian! read more

Hong helped us with the loan process. He is very professional, experienced, knowledgeable, responsive and dedicated. He has done everything he could to provide us with a very smooth loan application process. As first time home buyers, we were really nervous about the loan. We got introduced to Googain through our real estate agent. Ivy was our loan agent who needs specific mention here for the extent she went to help us go through the loan process within a fixed time frame we had due to various reasons. The timeline starting from our home escrow opening to the closing took about 15 months - making the home loan process more challenging as the home loan processing could only start 1 month prior to closing - we had to provide statements - explain transaction and activities with LOE etc - this was our 2nd home buying - but this was the most tough of all given the nature of things as mentioned above. There were days when Ivy had to stay late in the night and over the phone painstakingly explain details and went above. read more

I have done refinance for 10+ times and this practice is the worst ever. 1. Slow, unresponsive. Documents or info were sent and didn't get reviewed for days and then they will come back and asking for same info again without checking your original email. This happened maybe 30+ times throughout the refinance process. 2. Rate is not so good comparing to others 3. Totally unprofessional, especially from Grace. In the last week of closing even after signing the loan docs, every single day she asks for new info or documentations that were either sent before, or didn't explain why its still missing at this last stage of loan. This is again the worst refinance experience ever. I totally not recommend going with Googain at all. Save your time and energy to go somewhere else. read more

This review is for Shirley Lu. As first home buyer, I don't have much experience. Initially I chose the builder's lender Pulte Mortgage which gave me a late notice that the load cannot get approved because my credit score went down a little bit 1 month before closing date. I was mad about them because of this late notice. However, I found Shirley from Googain. Shirley helped me with the loan process in a very short period and close it in time. She is very knowledgeable, responsive and dedicated for my case. She helped me to rush other dependent department to finish my loan as soon as possible. I am really happy with the services. Will recommend her to others' home buyer. read more

I have had the pleasure of doing business with Hong Hu twice now; once for a refinance and another for a primary residence purchase. Both times, Hong has impressed me with his attention to detail and commitment to customer service. We had recently another refinancing deal done with the help of Mrs. Li Jin. As she is so familiar with our case of refinancing that we almost did little before the whole refinancing process was completed. As I understand her, she is courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and above all professional. You just provide what is required of you and let her handle the rest. And then you are done. If I do refinancing again, she is definitely the first one that I would think of. So I strongly recommend her to any one of you who would refinance your homes. Thanks again to you Mrs Li Jin. read more
