We have used Spinner Mortgage a few times and have been treated so wonderfully, and professionally. Ted and Jodi are such a team! Correspondence back and forth is quick. They respond immediately and always have an answer to our questions. Very experienced and knowledgeable. I would never go anywhere else. There are a lot of brokers out there but Ted and Jodi will never disappoint. They will get you the best rate in town! Laura C read more

Rosemary was one of two lenders recommended to us. After doing an initial screening of both recommended lenders, we knew right away that Rosemary was someone we wanted to work with. From the start, Rosemary was very responsive and provided us with a wealth of information. She knew her stuff and it was apparent. All our questions were answered directly and she never pushed us to make one decision over another. She gave us the facts and then gave us time to absorb the information while always being accessible for questions. Rosemary helped us through multiple offers and ultimately helped us find a loan option that worked best for us. We signed closing documents for our first home the same day we brought our newborn home from the hospital. We couldn't have done it without the support of Rosemary on our team. I highly recommend working with her for your mortgage needs! read more

We wanted lower our monthly expenses and interest rates were down. I compared three different mortgage brokers, including Rita Lo, who I initially called because of the glowing reviews for her on Yelp. Rita was nice over the phone and asked some pertinent questions. I answered what I could and she quickly sent me an email in chart form of different options for our mortgage. I don't know about you, but Mr. L and I *really* like when things are organized cleanly in easy-to-read columns and emailed so we could look it over. The other mortgage brokers were not nearly as organized or efficient. One said he wasn't able to email us (whaaaa?!), so I had to take notes over the phone (FAIL!). He also didn't get me nearly as good rates and called repeatedly (MEGAFAIL - you lose, Wells Fargo!). Deciding to work with Rita was easy. We did most over our correspondence over email, even though her office is nearby. When we eventually met for the closing, she was extremely pleasant. I discovered then that her educational background was from UC Berkeley as an Electrical Engineer. No wonder she's so smart. Our monthly payments are lower, Rita made the process painless, and we were happy to have our mortgage done by a detail-oriented go-getter who likes doing mortgages. Go figure. read more

Ted and Jodi helped me refinance recently and they have been so helpful throughout the entire process. I was contacting big banks for their rates but none of them really had us in their best interest. I was so happy we found Ted and his team. He'll send me daily rates base on our desired scenario and always had our best interest in mind. Ted and Jodi are super responsive and is very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. I thought refinancing would be a really painful process but with Ted and Jodi's guidance, it was so simple and quick! read more

I was referred to Rosemary Gee from a coworker who had done multiple refinances with her. The coworker said that Rosemary will look through your paperwork and tell you what loan and interest she can get you and she can deliver as quoted. Before purchasing our second home I've gotten a pre approval letter from Rosemary. When I placed my offer for the home I wanted, the agent knew of Rosemary already and because of her reputation of getting the loan she pre approves for the seller's agent convinced the seller to reject the highest offer and accepted our offer. Our offer was in the back up offer list. I think if I used any other agent, the seller's agent wouldn't had convinced the seller to bump the 1st offer off. After all the paperwork we finally closed on this home. Since then we had refinanced three times and every time Rosemary delivers as promised with professionalism. She will not question you about more than what is needed to explain any and every situation to the loan company. After every loan process/ refinance, Rosemary will send you all the paperwork in a portfolio folder to keep for future references. read more

All the past positive reviews and comments here are on point. Ted and Jodi are clear, responsive, and truly work for what works best for your particular scenario. This is the 4th time we have worked with them (1st & 2nd home mortgage and two refi's) and we couldn't imagine working with anyone else. Multiple scenarios are presented, they lay out all the facts and figures, all questions and concerns promptly addressed, all with no pressure whatsoever. We got a quoted a fantastic rate right before the Covid-19 shelter order, and Ted was diligent in getting paperwork signed and processed, appraisals and notary scheduled, even sending and responding to emails after-hours, all so that we could close the loan in a timely manner at the quoted interest rate. Mahalo Ted and Jodi! read more

Rosemary Gee goes above and beyond! What a great broker. Myself and my family have used her. We wouldnt go anywhere else. She is super efficient but also has the 'personal' touch. Really takes care of her clients in all ways (including getting the best rate) Thank you so much, Rosemary read more

A year after we bought our house we used Rita again to refinance, the experience was as wonderful as our first.

My wife and I have used Rosemary Gee previously on refi's. I have referred ALL of our family and friends to her. Our tax accountant even used her and raved on what a great job she did for him, Recently we almost lost our apartment building due to a very complicated situation . Our bank refused to refinance our loan and was threatening to take it over. We got Rosemary involved and she was able to find us a lender to refinance our building and saved our property!!!!!, She did an outstanding job. After many sleepless nights, my wife and I are finally able to breath a sign of relief. read more

This review is specifically for Rosemary Gee, I've not worked with any other Spinner member. Rosemary is very knowledgable and a true professional. She guided my husband and I through the whole process and assuaged all our concerns. Return calls and emails are promptly made, and you feel like she really looks out for your best interest. Her enthusiasm and kindness made the process so much more bearable. It was such a pleasure to work with Rosemary. She has worked with my parents and my uncle and both parties have also been very pleased with the level of service Rosemary has provided. If anyone ever needs a rec. for a mortgage person, she would be the first person I point them to, hands down. read more

Scott, Rita, and Ted are such a gem to work with. As first time home buyers and not knowing anything about purchasing these guy walked us through It all, willing to answer any questions we had ( we had a lot of questions) . They worked with us with any problem that arise and did not give up on us . As anyone would know buying in the Bay Area , restate is tough and can be tricky but when your working with Scott; he will put you at ease about It all . do not hesitate to give them a call for your next home because you won't regret It. We will definitely be calling Scott once we are ready to sell and and purchase our second home . Thank you again spinner! read more

Rosemary Gee at Spinner Mortgage is expedient, accurate, and efficient. I dealt with Rosemary a few years ago to refinance my house. My second transaction was closed yesterday. I have had extremely positive experiences with both loan transactions. In addition to Rosemary's ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, I was able to get a very good interest rate with a very affordable payment option. I would highly recommend Spinner Mortgage and Rosemary Gee. Thank you Rosemary for helping me in finding and processing my second loan. read more

We have financed or refinanced with Rosemary four times now over the past eleven years and each one has been great. We have received loan terms that we have been very happy with, and that is in addition to her simply taking such great care of us in a friendly and professional way. I just finished refinancing my home through Spinner Mortgage and I could not be happier. I found spinner via a yelp search read the reviews and thought I would give it a shot. Yelpers are never wrong! When I phoned I was put in contact with Rosemary Gee, and from our first conversation I knew I had finally found the right person to handle my refi. I had been shopping around the whole month of November 2010 and found that by far Rosemary answered all my questions with a much higher degree of expertise than anyone else I had spoken with. In addition, some other places made me feel that my loan amount was not worth their effort since they were being saturated with refinancing clients do to the low interest rates. Rosemary never once made me feel that my business was insignificant to her or her company. I am very pleased to say that it was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend Rosemary to anyone who needs a good mortgage broker. Her follow through was great, (even when mine was not always as great) and her attitude was fantastic. Thanks Rosemary for making the process as easy as possible! read more

We have worked with Rita Pen ~six times the last 4 years. Yes, that's a lot of debt accrued :) , but more importantly, we know that Rita is reliable, knowledgeable, honest, dedicated, and patient. She is backed by a great team. Thanks to Rita, our loans always worked out and funded on-time, even in high-pressure, complex situations. I recommend her to all. read more

As a first time home buyer we were super nervous and had very little idea on what we were doing. Scott is the best he stepped in and showed any house we were interested in or the ones he thought we would like (he found the one we ended up buying) there is nothing he won't do to help. Rita also was a major asset, we had a million questions and she took time to make sure we understood everything during the process. When we upgrade down the line I know exactly where we will be going to for our agents. Can't express how helpful they were! read more

I was starting to look for a mortgage to buy a new house and wanted to know what I could qualify for before engaging a real estate agent. I contacted Spinner by email and received a prompt reply. I was assigned to someone other than Ted or Rita, who have been reviewed here so far. When I started to submit documentation, the response times went up. I have a fairly complicated financial situation because I generally work at startups so I tend to switch jobs frequently and also have fluctuations in my income. As we worked through these issues, response times got longer. Finally, I received a brush-off answer saying that I couldn't possibly qualify for a loan without selling my current house (duh - that was always the plan). I tried one more email to try to get an indication if they wanted my business or not and never got a response. I guess that's a clear indication. The bottom line seems to be that if your situation is complicated, they may not have the will to see it through. It may also depend on whom you're working with. I will not be trying to work with Spinner any time in the future, though. read more

I was referred by my close friend who has known and worked with Rosemary Gee for years and she spoke highly of Rosemary. What impressed me was not only Rosemary is very professional, dedicated, and she's very customer oriented. I totally trust that things are in good hands with her. Trust that my case could be complicated but she could turn around to make things happen very smoothly! It was an extraordinary experience for me! read more

I cannot emphasize enough what a great job Ted Yamagishi and the others at Spinner did on our recent home purchase! We threw Ted all kinds of curveballs like changing downpayment sources/percentages at the last minute and he still got the job done! Ted even personally showed up in the city on a late Friday afternoon to make sure our closing went smoothly . . . apparently a rarity amongst mortgage brokers. read more

I would recommend Rosemary Gee without hesitation to anyone looking for a home loan. She helped us get a very low rate loan with competitive terms and got us through the process quickly and smoothly. Ok, all you yelpers. This review is LONG over due, so I apologize to Rita and Rosemary, and the rest of the awesome team at Spinner for being a slacker!! So stop looking for another mortgage broker, and just call Rita or Rosemary already. Anyways, I am a first time home owner thanks to them, and with their teamwork, guidance, and follow through, they made my home buying experience unbelievably smooth. I bought my home at the end of last October with Rita and Rosemary, and I am now going through the refinancing process with Rita. So some highlights of my experience with them include: 1) They are very professional, organized, and efficient. 2) They don't treat you like a moron if you ask tons of questions (and I ask a ton of stupid questions). 3) They are super responsive. I have probably 99% of my communication with them via email on my phone (I do not have a desk job, and am not able to talk on the phone freely), but they always got back to me in a timely manner. 4) With all the tons of paper work, they tell you up front what you need to know, what you need to sign, and when they need the stuff. 5) They take care of YOUR best interests. SO CALL THEM ALREADY!!! Seriously.... why are you still reading all this? read more

She is always so friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and patient, She always has my best interest at heart and helps guide me through every stage of the process. I was referred to Ted Yamagishi and Spinner/Bayview Mortgage to assist me with a fairly complex, delayed financing loan. I acquired a property back in December and had 90-days to secure a new purchase money, 1st mortgage on it. I first made contact with Ted the week between Christmas and New Years and we were able to close a loan in about 45 days. It had been quite some time since I last applied for a mortgage. Ted is extremely knowledgeable and has 30 years experience in the loan biz. He gave me the latest updates on rates, the current market conditions and walked me thru the entire process step by step. I was provided with several options and we were also able to do just about everything via electronic communications. Ted and his assistant Jodi are a great team. They are well organized, extremely responsive and available by phone, email or text. I recommend them highly of you are looking for a mortgage loan or to refinance. Thanks Ted and Jodi. read more
