Chiliquiles verdes

Such a beautiful place offering vegetarian and vegan authentic Mexican food. We visited for breakfast and it was great. The owner was even making the corn breading for the tamales and she showed me hot the machine worked. We had mushroom ceviche, chiliquiles and enchiladas verdes!!

Support the locals Vegan place making Mexican specialties.. thats rare Black beans / plantain app was good - beans a little cold Side of rice was not red rice bummer The poblano and elote tamale was fantastic : not dry and tasty The ginger fruit smoothie was SO good Hole in the wall If its after dark, you can barely see what you are eating if you sit in garden Garden in back is cute Owner was super nice

Falafel plate. So yummy

Oh Suculenta how I love you the yummiest place for vegan traditional Mexican dishes like pozole and tamales. I loved the papadazul tamale most... and other favorites like the ceviche and mole which can be spicy. Awesome place 10/10 recommend the food ambiance and service.

It doesn't get much better than this place! None of us are vegan, and all four of us absolutely loved every bite that we ate. So much deliciousness...would highly highly recommend.

I loved this place ! Tamales are so flavorful and one point, my favorite were bean and lentil and they all came with three sauces that were oh so delicious and all vegan. The staff was super sweet and nice, chatted with us about the different tamales and spices that were used in each. Big garden in the back with a hammock. CASH ONLY

Established by cousins in 2015, Suculenta Tamalería is celebrated locally for its entirely Vegan menu, but even those more accustomed to Masa wrapped around Chicken or Pork will find a lot to like about the scratch-made fare prepared in this bare-bones place. Open from 9:00am daily in downtown Tulum, just two women in a kitchen fronting their own courtyard garden, guests arriving early are given an opportunity to watch the pair carefully fold six types of daily Tamales while Soups bubble on a stove adjacent refrigerators packed with Vegetables. Hailing from CDMX, but at Suculenta preparing Tamales Oaxaqueños featuring local Mayan ingredients, deciding on one "best" option is an undeniably daunting task, though the mix of bitter Mole and sweet Plantains juxtaposing Mushrooms and a Tamale studded with soft Lentils are pretty tough to beat. Priced at 50 pesos each, with most diners likely sated by two, be sure to ask for Salsa if spiciness is desired, and for those seeking a sweet finish the 40 peso Loaf of Carrot Cake packs a lot of complexity and moisture despite its lack of Frosting.

Tamales were on my must have list for my recent trip to Mexico. We stumbled upon this place one day randomly and I was so happy! We didn't seek out a vegan restaurant but we're pleasantly surprised at how much we loved this. Everything was fresh and delicious. Literally loved everything we had and didn't feel guilty after eating it! The plain twins with black bean purée dish was a favorite of the group too. The salsas that came with the tamales were also delicious. Great chili oil. Also the prices are incredibly reasonable. The ambiance is so chill and beautiful. Highly recommend.

delicioso! One of the best places for vegetarians and vegan to eat in Tulum! The staff are knowledgeable and kind! It is definitely a hidden gem! Suculenta Tamaleria is not only able to accommodate my dietary needs but also exceeded my expectations! The tortilla for taco and sope are still hand made! Each costs around 30-40 pesos! The amazingly delicious tacos are stuffed with meaty Smokey oyster mushrooms, black bean topped and pickled radish; and sometimes avocado. The tamales are even better! My favourite is mixed beans with poblano peppers! It is around 50 pesos! It was so great that I stayed in Tulum for a little longer before leaving for my flight to buy them fresh to take home! They are the perfect little parcels to take to the airport! If you are ever in Tulum, this is the place to be!

Yummy!! We were traveling with my sister who is vegan and we wanted a quick lunch. Wow, so good! Loved the mole tamales and the pozole has great flavor but omg, the oyster mushroom tacos were SO good! Salsas were great too!

OMG vegan tamales! And they were so good! Talk about hitting the spot. You honestly can't go wrong with any of the tamales so take your pick. Strongly suggest more than 1. We also had the enchiladas. All very good. As we were leaving we saw someone's salad and I wish I weren't stuffed at that point because that looked so good too! Tip: if you think there isn't any seating then be sure venture to the back. There is a nice garden area for sitting.

Highly recommend this spot! Take it from a non vegan/vegetarian the food here is so flavorful. Presentation is wonderful. Authentic traditional mexican recipes. The garden is cute and comfy. I could easily change to vegan or vegetarian with their menu. Everyone is so sweet but kudos to the chefs we had the tamales, mole, pancakes, cacao drink and green juice. They also gave us fresh salsa with chopped red onions for extra flavor. You can find it on google maps, it is centrally located off the main Blvd.

This is the kitchen! So cool! This is local eating at its finest!

This place has to be the most authentic Mexican vegan place in Tulum! Suculenta is inexpensive, authentic eating at its finest. The kitchen is surprisingly open and inviting. All items are made to order. Some of the must-haves are: The pozole, tamales, and taco trio. The pozole is the closest you'll get to regular pozole. Same flavor different replacements! The staff is so friendly and we talked for several minutes about the food and how it's made. We were very surprised to find our bill came out to $425 pesos (around $25 dollars) and we ordered 5-6 dishes + two lattes and desserts. This is a spot you cannot miss if you're vegan and want to try authentic Mexican dishes in Tulum.

I have had my fair share of beet burgers and vegan nachos, but at Laylo, the beet-meat burger and the nachos were the best I have ever had! There is limited seating inside the lounge and outside in the patio but it's nice and quiet. Also try their tropical smoothie which has Mango, Papaya, Almond Milk, and coconut! We had a chance to speak to the chef and he was kind enough to explain his journey on how he develops new vegan dishes for the menu. Definitely a must-stop if you are looking for a delicious vegan restaurant in Tulum.

I had the coconut bowl! It was especially scrumptious after a day of swimming in the cenotes! Definitely no complains! My belly was filled with glee and my body thanked me for the nutrition! Everybody was happy! Everything is fresh and delicious. Staff mentioned items are made to order, which is uncommon to be honest. It seems many places serves per-made dishes. I really wanted to visit for their breakfast vegan French toast. Apparently the bread is custom made at a local bakery! However, there seems to be issues with the kitchen so they were not open the morning before my flight. With that said, it is definitely worth visiting.
