We loved everything about Sucre: the vibe, the service (shout out to Agnes), and scrumptious foods and drinks.
We had reservations at 5:00 PM; however, we were wandering around the area and asked if we could be seated earlier. They said yes!
We made quite a connection with Agnes who talked to us just the right amount. We felt as if we were legit friends while also having plenty of time to enjoy our own company and meal.
We had olives and a dirty martini to start. The dirty martini was made with Monkey 47 gin and was scrumptious! So smooth and balanced.
We also shared two entrees: the saffron risotto and the ribeye. We had a tomato salad on the side which provided the perfect freshness to the evening. What was great about these dishes was that they were unpretentious, perfectly prepared and packed with flavor! The texture of the risotto was impressive because each grain of rice was distinct and NOT mushy but cooked JUST RIGHT.
Finally, for dessert, we enjoyed the dulce de leche fondant and the wood fired cheesecake, each with their wine pairing. The cheesecake was fluffy and light - like a mousse! I was so impressed and happy with it.
My wife ended the evening by telling Agnes that we would definitely be back. read more
