However, it has come to my attention, that the current students at American High are currently without an Instructor for Culinary Arts, therefore the students are being "taught" by "substitutes". I get that teacher shortages are happening everywhere, and we are just getting through a global pandemic, but at the same time it's not like the previous Instructor Chef Rosen, decided to retire last minute. They knew well in advance, and you would think they would have been able to get an instructor before the school year started. If for some reason, they weren't able to find an instructor, which seems to be the case now, why even offer the course this year at all until an instructor is found? I've heard that students are trying switch out of the class and into other classes because they don't have an instructor, and are still being taught by substitutes. It's such a shame many of these students who are seniors, many of which who are coming out of distance learning, signed up for Culinary Arts, yet are being taught by substitutes. They probably aren't even being taught much or learning much about Culinary Arts. I hope Mission Valley ROP is doing everything they can to get a qualified instructor to teach Culinary Arts at American, as there are 4 Culinary Arts classes and 1 Event Planning course offered at American. If anything, perhaps they should ask Chef Rosen to come back until a permanent instructor can be found? Just to show the impact of taking an ROP class, not only did I earn College Credit for one of the courses I took, to this day, I still stay in touch with one of my instructors, Sergeant Crawford. Unfortunately, the other instructor I had, Mr. Gary Marsh sadly passed away a few years ago.

He helped me not only to pursuit my passion in culinary arts but he also helped me and a lot others through high school. Once I graduated I attended CCA in San Francisco and continued to go on a internship in Walt Disney World. Now only two years out of high school I'm being trained as a head line cook in a restaurant in Niles, California. None of this would of happened without Chef Mike with his guidance and teachings. Thank you for teaching this wonderful class.

What sets them apart is the personalized attention. Even in group sessions, the coaches take time to correct form, offer specific tips, and keep kids engaged and having fun. My kid went from barely holding a racket to consistently rallying, and more importantly, actually *loves* showing up each week. The communication from the team has been great too -- easy enrollment, responsive to questions, and accommodating when schedules get complicated. For a Bay Area tennis program, the value is really solid. If you're looking for a structured, encouraging environment to get your child into tennis (or sharpen your own game), Euro Tennis in Fremont is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

If you want to opt for a change in schedule it's an additional $40.00 which means for a one week lesson you'd pay about $90 for one week and remaining $52 for the rest of the week. Usually with most group lessons for example swim, ice skating, dance or music, you get the opportunity to attend a "make up" class within 30 days. I would know because my child has wanted to try everything from swimming to voice lessons.

In less than six months, she has been learning essential skills with the right technique. My 3-year-old also started at British Swim at the same time, and in less than six months, he went from not liking to be in water to beginning to back float. At British Swim, they truly focus on teaching water survival skills using proper techniques and structured methods. Their step-by-step approach ensures that kids learn all swimming styles correctly and confidently. The coaches, Mr. Forest and Tina, are fantastic with children and pay close attention to detail. The academy also has a great cancellation and makeup policy, making scheduling convenient for busy families. Neeru, the owner, goes above and beyond to ensure each child is progressing and receiving the right guidance. She is also incredibly helpful with scheduling, always finding solutions when conflicts arise. After such a positive experience with my kids, I decided to take adult classes myself to refine my swimming technique. In just two lessons, I've already learned a great deal. I highly recommend British Swim to anyone looking for focused, results-driven swim coaching for kids at the right pace.

I am not satisfied with the service and decided to withdraw my kid…read more I really pissed off with your chaos management. I applied the Stevenson center and they contacted me for an evaluation. We drove to Stevenson location and it was closed. I called the center and i was told the session was held in beacon ave. There are actually two locations, Stevenson and Beacon Ave. I thought they are independent. But they actually share same systems. Lower graders will be moved to Beacon location. I was contacted with multiple employees from these two locations and their information isn't fully synced. In order to transfer to weekend class, we were required to take 3-4 tutor sessions, which cost us $90/hour. I clearly mentioned my kid didn't need many tutor sessions since she has been doing Singapore math and beast academy. So in the first session, I want check the materials and have her start where she left behind. The tutor actually start from lesson 1. For the price of $90, my kid learned 3+3,3-3,4+3,4-3,5+3,5-3,7+3,7-3. Why should I pay $90 for the knowledge my daughter already learned 4 years back. The tutor can start from lesson 8 or later. My daughter reviewed the knowledge she learned 4 years back. Even worse, I spent $90 but didn't get teaching materials and take home assignments. I checked online and there wasn't any homework uploaded. We didn't receive paper homework either. In the evaluation session, I was told I can talk to the office to pick up the missing materials. I requested in the email. The school requested me to pay the full tuition for the missing classes in order to get the teaching materials and missing homework. The tutor I talked to on 12/4 in the office explained I wouldn't get teaching materials or homework unless I paid full tuition for the missing class. I questioned why I didn't receive anything for the the value I paid $90/hour for the tutor session compared to regular class $57/1.5 hour. She told me you still saved the money for $90 for three lessons compare to the price 57*3. She also addressed I need to pay for the tutor session on 12/4 even my kid didn't join the session. This isn't right way how you should treat your customers. The reason I chose Russian math is I reviewed the materials in Cupertino Russian math center. I like the concepts and the thick book. But the first tutor session, we have completed 3 lessons and we didn't see the text book . What we received is a few pages print out she completed in class. This is total a waste of money. Russian Math, this isn't the right way to do business. There is Singapore math, Think Academy and Khan Academy. After school is super competitive in bay area. The attitude you treat kids and parents wouldn't help your business survive in bay area.

My daughter is in Advance placement and son in Honors. They are way ahead of public school curriculum, and became very independent in successfully completing their homework from RSM, where we had some bumps initially when started the classes 2 years ago. Currently I do not see any other alternative for Math classes, probably unless your kid is in private school. So big kudos to the teachers in the school for making this happen!
