Never had an inaccurate order from this location. Mobile orders are always ready early. Tastes fresh.

Usually food is good and done right but half the time I pay for extra meat or guacamole on my online order and it's always missing.

Gotham's Deli is a great place to stop if you are looking for lunch in Downtown Smithfield. It is…read moresimilar to a New York City deli but it is located in North Carolina. The walls are decorated in sports memorabilia and September 11th tributes. When you walk in, you will see the Statue of Liberty. I tried to sit in the Mets section, but that was taken as it is a busy place, so I sat near the Yankees. I was ok with the photo of Don Mattingly and don't hate the Yankees, I just love the Mets. I made sure to spend some time in that section before leaving, seeing the 1986 tributes to Mike Piazza, Jose Reyes, and David Wright. It is just fun to be surrounded by the memorabilia. The sandwiches also follow in the New York theme. I ordered the Mr. Met, it had ham, turkey, and roast beef with lettuce, provolone, and tomatoes. I've had it before, so I knew it was good and ordered the full size rather than a half. I enjoyed every bite of it. The service was friendly, and they have daily specials with a different sub featured each day. The food was prepared fresh and fast. If you are looking for a high-quality sub, this is the place to order from.

I told her I love meat of all kinds. She recommended and I thoroughly enjoyed The Dark Knight. It was loaded with meat and it was so big the gentleman who created it saw the "I'm so full" look on my face and offered to wrap the other half, which he did so carefully and tightly to hold it together. I took some great photos of their amazing deli. I recommend if you are in Smithfield, you must experience Gotham's Deli.

Ordered their Thanksgiving meal again this year, and it was flavorful!…read more The turkey, an offering of both white and dark meat, was juicy and tender. The roasted brussels sprouts would make a believer out of anyone who claims they do not like brussels sprouts. Bits of ham in a balsamic reduction. Garlic mashed potatoes were a golden treat, creamy, with the right amount of garlic. Mac and cheese, wow, a pinkish color, but so creamy, cheesy and buttery. Wish I knew how to make them. Easy to follow directions for reheating. Ordered enough for two. It was perfect.

In general, you'll have Vacuum sealed food that's reheated in hot water or flash fried upon arrival. Either very bland or very salty food. Some Management will put aside Bride and groom needs when addressed by staff just to pull a power play and put off needs of paying customers. Some of them smell like cigarette butts or take smoke breaks on the clock so its unapealing to guests to see . If you have a cake you're wanting to have served after the initial couples cutting, be prepared for it to be crumbled and unappealing to the eye. If you dont mind how the cake looks at that point in time then That's a plus (hey some people dont at this point of the night)? Mashed potatoes are usually good. Meat...specifically chicken...any chicken, is usually dry and rubbery. BBQ is good but can be really greasy. Crabcakes are more breaded and do not taste like real crabcakes...think dry or cardboard hush puppy in the form of a flattened tater tots (no offense to tater tots). Coffee service never works out correctly. Seasonal toast is usually interesting and Might be one of the best options on the menu. Caprese skewers dont come with basil, it's a half a cherry tomato and a small mozz ball. During a tasting that happened people where people were supposed to taste different items on a menu some things went haywire and some guests didn't even get to taste all of the items they were supposed to. It was pretty disappointing for those who paid a lot of money to go to this tasting and really didn't get to taste what they were promised.
