On Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, around 5:45 p.m., my mother and I had a very disappointing experience at the Subway® store in Tierra Subida in Palmdale. The way she was treated was disrespectful and upsetting. Her sandwich had an excessive amount of mustard to the point it was extremely salty and basically inedible. I politely asked if they could please remake it or fix it for her, especially since the sandwich was prepared right in front of us, but the employees call the shift manager and refused to help in any way. What made the situation worse was the attitude and lack of compassion shown toward my mother age 81. Customer service should never make people feel uncomfortable or dismissed when simply asking for help with an order that was clearly made poorly. Mistakes happen, but the way customers are treated afterward says everything about a business. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed. I want to be fair in saying that I have been coming to this Subway® location for many years, and until now I had never experienced anything like this. Previous employees were usually attentive, respectful, and helpful. That is why this experience stood out so strongly to me. 3/2/2026 at 2:30 am I came in asking for the clearly advertised Deal of the Day. Simple enough, right? Apparently not. Instead of honoring the promo, the employee tried to charge me MORE than the combo price -- and that was just for a footlong by itself. When I politely questioned the price, he acted like I was the problem. No explanation, no attempt to clarify -- just attitude. The kind where you can practically see the eye roll forming. It honestly felt like he was blatantly trying to upsell me or hoping I wouldn't notice the inflated total. When customers have to double-check basic pricing at a place built on standardized deals, something is seriously wrong. Fast food is supposed to be quick, straightforward, and at the very least, honest. Instead, I got overcharging and a side of unnecessary hostility. If you're going to advertise daily deals, train your staff to honor them -- and maybe remind them that basic courtesy doesn't cost extra. I won't be back anytime soon. read more

As soon as I came into the store, I noticed how the manager and a fellow employee were picking on what seems like the new kid working they were being rude to him and it made the environment really awkward . The new kid was extremely friendly while taking my order both manger and minion interrupted us and asked him " if he had nothing else to do " then proceeded to charge me over a dollar for a half OF HALF of an avocado which I thought was absurd, but I let it go until I asked them if I can have more olives on my foot-long which they replied to me they could only do six olives per foot-long which is the most Absurdity shit I've ever heard I proceeded to tell them that I would pay extra for the olives I wanted if I had to thinking it would solve the conflict, but they denied me paying for extra olives but an idiotic suggestion was given for me to buy a whole another sandwich for some more olives seems crazy especially when they're stingy ass just charge me for a quarter of an avocado I had to dead ass go back-and-forth with the manager, for him to give me more olives, which he later did cause I told him it's not that deepand this fool told the minion to "just give me four more olives, but that's it" just overall terrible customer service, laughable management read more

Has the worst experience at this location and will definitely not be coming back. I place a mobile order for two sandwiches and one of them was all wrong. They made me two of the same sandwiches when I had asked for one without tomatoes mayonnaise and pickles. I called in to tell them that one sandwich was wrong and they told me to go in and they would make me a new one. I sent my boyfriend in to change it since my lunch break was over and when he got there he said they were extremely rude to them. He was going back and forth with the manager and the staff because they did not want to remake the sandwich. They kept telling him he was wrong and they weren't going to make a new one. Hello my Good Yelpers! Today's review brings me much agony over something I've never thought I'd ever have to complain about and that is all thanks to Melissa. In my mobile order I forgot to ask for my sub toasted. shortly after paying and realizing I forgot. I called the store moments after completing my online order. At this moment said sub has not been made nor started and Melissa answers my call. She not only informed me that toasting my sub is extra cost if I didnt already included it in my order via the subway app But that I would have complete cancel my order and redo the entire order just so I could have my sub toasted. I kindly hung up and made my way over to Redo this process. Even though it's free to toast, even though the sub has yet to be started and even though I called just in time so they would avoid wasting food. Melissa was rude, very nasty backhanded apology, and made me come to the store cancel my order and reorder my entire meal All over again. I've never in a MILLION years thought I'd ever be so enraged by such a tiny detail that could have been avoided and fixed without any headaches and bad mouthing. For THIS reason I will never be returning to this location. If asking to toast my sub would be this big of an issue. I don't know what's going on there but every time we go there over the last few months, it is at least 25 minutes before we are able to get a sandwich. And this is when one person was ahead of us and no one was ahead of us the 2nd time, We've gone at night twice over a few weeks and my husband has gone during the day and it's always a long wait, A drive through is supposed to be fast service. Live and learn. This Subway location won't do squat to fix a problem -- the most common of which, in my experience, is serving stale -- not toasted! -- bread. And we're not talking a little dried out either -- think crumbs all over your clothes and in your hair because the bread is so crusty on top it shatters when you try to bite into it. (If it's generally true that you like your sandwiches toasted you may not notice. But definitely keep this in mind if you dislike toasted bread or are headed back to the office after lunch!) At first I thought it was a fluke but a stale if not half stale, half soggy sandwich happens several times per year, which constitutes a pattern. Now if all they chose to do was apologize and make right, that would represent an inconvenience but not a one-star rating. Unfortunately, what adds to the frustration of the situation is that the employees and management play games with the customer's time and money when a problem is brought to their attention. The last straw was on Mother's Day. The employees claimed they could not help, even with a receipt and a purchase less than an hour old, because their manager was not on duty. As a result, they said to wait until Monday. However, earlier today (Monday) my spouse talked to the manager who bizarrely claimed, through extremely broken English, that she remembers my spouse asking for "soft bread" and that *she* made the dried-out sandwich we received on Sunday. (You can't run a cash register without entering an employee ID so either an employee was using a manager's code or the manager was present on Sunday but chose to blend in with the other employees -- because the story on Sunday less than an hour after the sandwich was made contradicted her claim that she was working that Mother's Day Sunday at all. (Sadly, the one thing they do better here than "sandwich art" is giving the customer the runaround.) Subway policy is not to offer refunds; however, they will replace food by permission of management. But when the receipt was brought back with the stale bread, which the manager said she would accept after explaining we had salvaged the contents by buying replacement bread from Albertson's -- the employees advised my spouse to return A THIRD TIME because the manager was not there and had not left any notes. (If the manager had any intention to resolve the situation she might have asked for my spouse's name but never bothered doing that either, nor could she speak her name clearly enough for my spouse to understand at this or any other previous time we have reported an issue -- hence a "final straw" moment for us and this review. The only thing my spouse was able to make out from her broken English is that her normal hours are from 6 a.m. to 3 pm, yet when arriving on the same day for a replacement sandwich she was again not there and my spouse was sent home empty handed. Continually passing the buck to the "owner" doesn't pass the smell test because while there is only one head manager/owner no properly run food/retail establishment is run without a shift lead, who is empowered to make basic decisions in response to customer complaints. (Keep in mind this was about a single foot-long sandwich. It's not like we expect a random employee to be empowered to replace an order for a party of 12 but not empowered to address a problem with a single sandwich?) I would like to think I know a little bit about how Subway works because I worked there myself years ago. As such, the bread should not be that dried out unless A) they are over-cooking it (unlikely though because that would also cause the bread to turn a deep brown, if not burn, plus the ovens are essentially designed to be foolproof for consistent, corporate-approved results). Thus, my guess is, B) this location is not baking fresh bread on a daily basis to save money. In that case, if it is a slow day instead of discarding it or donating it to a food bank the remainder is served to unsuspecting customers, which is a violation of Subway franchising rules. When I worked at Subway in college, some of the other college-age kids that worked there began trading sub sandwiches for pizza with employees who worked in the same strip mall. Word finally made it back to the manager who staked out his own store late at night from across the street to observe what was going on -- then fired the employees who were stealing food. I can only hope that an area district manager for Subway will do the same at this location to ensure the licensee is indeed arriving at 6 a.m. to bake fresh bread -- with someone to cover for her on days off -- because those are the rules she is contracted to follow to maintain her franchise license. In closing, I encourage anyone who has been given excuses for inaccessibility to anyone who can address a problem in a timely manner to report the situation to corporate. With enough complaints, they may follow through with an audit. read more

The young lady in the drive thru impressed me with her skills and how she endured and worked through the pressure of the rush. The food was great! I had to go inside from the drive through and remind them about my order to which she replied "that's just how long it takes." This Is The Best Subway In The Antelope Valley. They are always busy but they always push out orders quick and easy. Great customer service the whole way through. Greeted with smiles and they always say thanks for coming. You are lucky if you get Lovel to make your sandwiches! This dude is a sandwich specialist! I wish I could give this place zero stars the employees are clueless and extremely rude. My husband ordered a sandwich which consisted of white bread mayonnaise, American cheese and salami. They not only refused to make it, but when he ordered the cold trio, which comes with salami, they gave my husband a sandwich with no salami. When I called to address this issue, an employee answered the phone, and then proceeded to set it down and leave it off the hook. Do not go to this location. I recently moved to Palmdale and this location is the closest to my house and ever since my first encounter I've had nothing but issues. The first major incident I had hair in my sandwiches, as you all know they do not wear hair nets, when I spoke to the worker handling the food she said there is nothing she can do about it and I would have to speak with the manager, it took the manager three days the review the footage and then called me to say she would remake the food. The second major incident is I ordered a sandwich in their app, I called to let them know I had not received an update regarding the deliver status, the told me I would have to pick it up myself, upon arrival Melissa told me that she had thrown that sandwiches away and that there was nothing she could do and I would have to contact that manager, the manager told me there was nothing she could do and I would have to email the store owner. The store owner has not been proactive in handling this issue. I spent 25 dollars and have to received the meal or the money. This place is convenient because it is open 24/7 but the staff and upper management need to be retrained on customer service. read more
