Subway is a great idea: you pick the bread, the main filling and then all the extras you want: salad, sauces, melted cheese and so on. Unfortunately, once you've tried an independent equivalent, this pales in comparison. It's so much nicer to have freshly made pots of salad, more unusual fillings and proper customisation. With subway you have to choose one of their set combinations, then customise. Still, if you get the right thing it's pretty tasty. I like the honey bread with Italian chicken, melted cheese and the yellow sweet mustard type sauce. If you get the 'Sub of the Day', it's very cheap, or you can go for a meal deal where it's very cheap to get a drink and snack with your meal (sometimes the cake costs something like an extra 2p!). This branch is similar to most - the staff are quite rushed but friendly. I'd seek out an independent equivalent if you can, but you can do plenty worse for fast food. read more
