To my disappointment the sandwich came with very little of anything (3 thin slices turkey, 3 thin slices of provolone cheese, and 3 thin slices of tomatoes) that was it for a total of $12.00 and a few cents. If JJ's continue to serve a sub like what I received, you can bet JJ's won't be in business long! Hooray for Jersey Mikes's! Wish I had gone there instead!!! I have picked up my order from the shelf a thousand times without any problems. The new, larger middle-aged woman with thin hair acts like she owns the place and seems to forget her actual job title and salary. I placed my order and went to pick it up like always, and she left the sandwich she was working on just to ask for the name on my bag, as if I was trying to steal a $9 sub. She even touched my bag with her gloves and then went right back to making the sandwich (grabbed cheese) without changing her gloves. Terrible service!!!!

Every time you walk in is a hit or miss…read more Occasionally there is a strange smell that you can't directly pin point, whether it comes from outside, the plumbing, or the musky dead bugs. Either way it's unpleasant. The corners of some of the tables are disgusting, cobwebs and dead bugs crowded by a window next to a large seating area. Service is a hit or miss. Some act like servers, some just ignore you till you walk up to the bar, even if you are just there to eat. A little bit of consistency would be nice. Loud patrons and regulars. There seems to be one small batch of people that come here close to everyday, some of them are respectful and quiet, some of them leave the door to the men's restroom open while they are using the urinal. I also had my daughter with us having lunch there by the way, and the women's bathroom door was next to the men's on the left. And that patron didn't seem to care if he was exposed or not. The food is the only thing that is sometimes consistent. We ordered garlic cheese curds one time and kept getting served the regular ones that was kind of a weird experience. I'd like to come back, but it needs a lot of improvement to welcome new regulars. So I think we'll be going somewhere else for now.

However, I had promised my husband a nice steak dinner, so we decided to stay. The steak choices were an 8-ounce filet mignon or a 10-ounce sirloin cap served sliced sushi-style. We ordered the $52 sirloin cap, and it was incredibly chewy. Thankfully, it was already sliced, or we might not have been able to cut through it. I told our waitress how tough it was. She apologized, but did nothing to correct the situation--there was no offer to replace the steak or make things right. I ordered the yellowfin tuna appetizer because I used to love Maxwell's previous tuna dish so much that I would order it as my entrée. Unfortunately, this version was disappointing. The tuna was okay but had very little flavor, and the cashew chimichurri sauce was mediocre at best. The Brussels sprouts were overcooked, and the sauce seemed like it was trying too hard without adding much to the dish. Dessert was crème brûlée, but it tasted like plain vanilla custard with very little flavor, topped with overly caramelized sugar and berries. I truly wish I had trusted my instincts and walked out. For what we paid, the meal was nowhere near the quality we expected. Honestly, the two-for-$25 meal at Applebee's would have cost a quarter of the price and probably would have been far more enjoyable. We will not be returning.
