The worst Mediterranean salad ever! It looked like it had been in a blender!! Mushy and grossly unappealing!

Very clean. Smells like heaven. Love hearing the Christmas music. Very fresh food. Right next to Hot Head Burritos and Autozone.

Its interior is super cute with a diner type atmosphere and a full bar no less!? We walk in and adhere to the signage that states to wait for hostess for seating... so we wait. and wait.. and wait some more where a nice lady comes out of the kitchen and realizes we are standing there. I was borderline becoming impatient and was about to leave. So we get seated. Check out the menu where it all sounds good. I love the premise where they seem to admitting they steal recipes from other stores around the country and recreate them here and that's how they became 'All the Best'. So I ordered half Rueben with pastrami and corned beef, a side of matzo ball soup. The lovely Mrs ordered 1/2 hot brisket sandwich and chicken noodle soup. No clue how long it took from ordering to being at our table but it was a bit of time. The sandwiches are okay. The bread on both sandwiches was way too hard to enjoy the actual sandwiches as a whole. Not a lot of meat. The soups... in a perfect world, your soup would be piping hot. Ours were actually unusually cold? Like they were straight out of the fridge and somebody forgot to microwave them to warm the up? I had never had matzo ball soup so I had to google if it was served cold like gazpacho or vichyssoise. So... for $40 with tip this was a bit egregious for me but hey... we finally tried it.

But what I remember most of all is the food, particularly ducking into a little shop off a piazza somewhere to grab whatever I could buy and eat while we walked to our next sightseeing destination--a pastry, a slice of pizza, or a sandwich. At Alveo, I almost feel like I'm right back there. The restaurant is small and lively, not a place to linger exactly but a place where you can tell you'll be taken care of. Just as many patrons are ordering to go as they are to stay. And the sandwiches? Good enough to power many, many steps of sightseeing across cobblestones, or just get you through the afternoon at your home or office in Cincinnati. They've absolutely nailed the ingredients on every sandwich I've tried, with high-quality components selected specifically for how they go together. (Like those little sandwich shops in Europe, there are no substitutions here--unless you'd like gluten free bread.) The bread? Unreal how it can hold these constructions together while being soft and delicious. The meats? Perfection. The cheese? Incredible. That pistachio stuff? I see it in my dreams. The one area where Alveo definitely deviates from its European brethren is portion size--these sandwiches are huge! They come in a paper wrapper, inside a to-go box, and believe me, you will probably need it. Each time I've been to Alveo I've ended up eating about half the sandwich for lunch and the rest for dinner, maybe with a snack in between, and felt perfectly satisfied for the day. So, yes, the $20+ price tag might discourage you, but don't let it. It's a $20 investment in a very, very delicious day.

So we just walked in, and the host was kind enough to let us sit at the little bar area near the window. I like their ordering system. You have many options --- go up to the cash register and order there, order from the server who comes by your table (or in our case, bar), or use your phone by scanning the QR code. And if you use your phone, each person in your party can do it themselves on their own phone. Regardless, it all gets added to the same order for the same table. Pretty slick. At the end, when it comes time to pay, the app lets you split the check however you want, and you can even see the name of the person that ordered each item. The food was incredible. It's not cheap, and the portions are a little smaller than some might expect at an Italian restaurant. But for us, it was filling enough. I personally had the raviolo, which was delicious. Little did I know that in Italian, "raviolo" is singular while "ravioli" is plural. So I got one giant raviolo on my plate (see picture). I didn't care much for the runny egg yolk on top, but it was as advertised on the menu. All the other food orders were amazing, especially the desserts. I'd definitely come back once my food budget resets.

It's located…read morein a business-type complex with a FedEx business center next door and I believe there is a dry cleaners in there as well. Parking is plentiful and the submarine sandwich shop itself is pretty large, although I've never seen a lot of people in the dining area. The submarine sandwiches are very good and I've always ordered takeout. I have tried a few of their submarines but I like the cheesesteak submarine the best. The meat is finely chopped and is served on awesome bread of your choice. I usually prefer the plain bread but the sesame bread is pretty good too. They also have multigrain bread option. The bread tastes fresh and I would say one of the freshest of the sub places I've been to. It's really good. The meat itself is densely packed on the bread and they wrap it in paper and then put it in a paper sleeve. It's very professional looking. For this order I got the cheesesteak submarine sandwich on a plain roll, with mayonnaise, grilled mushrooms, and pepper jack cheese. I also got a side order of their macaroni salad. My order was ready for pickup when I arrived. The service was very fast and good. My order was accurate. The sandwich was excellent. The macaroni salad was good for a side. They also offer a pasta salad, potato salad, or a large deli pickle. There are also a variety of potato chips to choose from if that's more to your liking. The shop itself seems pretty clean and it has kind of an old-style vibe. As I previously mentioned, there are plenty of seats for a hungry crowd. Probably more than I've ever seen from a typical submarine sandwich shop. However, I've never seen a lot of people dining in. Maybe that is more for the lunch crowd. I would strongly recommend as I believe this is one of the better submarine sandwich establishments in the area. It is a chain fast food restaurant but the quality is pretty dang good. I've never been disappointed with any of my orders here. And the bread is really good. It's definitely worth trying and you'll most likely be back. Strongly recommend.

I sort of feel likely lately with inflation, the lunch meats are either thinner or maybe it's just mental. Still good taste. Service is quick and they make it in front of you. I wouldn't say its anything to cry home about - at both the bar and the restaurant - but the staff was pleasant. I will say I was a bit concerned regarding the food safety at the Noods Bar. I noticed that none of the people preparing food were wearing gloves or a hair net. In fact, the young lady who took my order at the register was processing basil without gloves. What I found most alarming was when the time came for me to order, she simply put the basil to the side for a moment - took my order by touching the ipad and took my card for payment - and went right back to the basil without washing her hands.
