I love cabbage rolls that are stuffed with meat and rice in general, and these little cabbage leaves were just as tasty as a stuffed grape leaf. While chatting with my friend at the table, I watched a mouse scurry right past us and disappear into a crack in one of the booth seats. It was quick, but not quick enough to miss. I get that things happen in the restaurant world--it's not always easy to control pests--but this mouse looked very familiar with the layout, like it had done this routine before. I was immediately grateful that my leftovers were already packed, and we made a beeline straight for the exit. No matter how good the food is, something like that leaves a lasting impression... and not a good one.
