My breakfast hash browns were cold and not crispy - I ate just a couple and went back to counter and told the young lady that approached me, I ordered these hot & fresh and they're cold -- she looked at the hash browns & me like I had 2 heads! I drive around, park and get out of my car. In front of the door are 3 employees chatting, complaining and cussing; all with Taco Bell attire/uniforms on. I excuse myself and go inside to place my order. As I walk in I see 8 customers waiting. As I start to place my order @6:10pm A female manager of African decent yells at one of the employees that was outside the door "Oh you can go ahead and clock out, I am going to write a report & your fired!!" In front of all the guest ‍ I paid for my order, watched the employee walk in to the prep area and stared working. I began listening to the rumbling within the restaurant among the customers. Several walked out, several asked for refunds, several orders were placed on the counter but people had already left. There was a young man that did a mobile order and he shared he had been waiting for OVER 50 minutes I thought to myself, he must have a big order. So I asked--To my surprise, Nope 2 specialty tacos--two!! I could not believe it! The male manager was trying to get orders out, but he didn't appear to be very friendly. Overwhelmed I assume. Again he was trying. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in a fast food restaurant let alone a Taco Bell. WOW doesn't cover the shock. I don't eat bacon, so I wasn't able to eat the meal at all. The person handing out the food also came across a bit rude, which didn't help the situation. Bojangles has never been widely known for the best service experience and although everyone here was friendly, the service was really quite slow. I found myself waiting for 9 minutes for a biscuit to be put together during early dinner hours when I was the only one at the counter and the drive through only had 3 or 4 cars. This wasn't terrible and it didn't ruin my day but it didn't seem like anyone at this location was surprised in the slightest at how long everything was taking which indicates this is perfectly normal. I'm not one to blame the staff as I know how little these people are being paid and how often they are being asked to cover low staffing numbers with less people and more work for the same pay. I blame Bojangles in general for their mostly universal mediocre to bad service. Most of the locations I go to have people who are friendly and want to do well but they are either understaffed or under-supported. I love Bojangles and my kids REALLY love it, but for the prices they are charging now for chicken, I would like to see the company make strides in improving their service without just making the jobs harder for those already trying employees.
