I have been seriously unhealthy recently (since about 2014, actually) and so Chop't was an ideal choice. You can build your own salad or if lazy/too socially awkward to speak to people you can get a pre-prepared one which has the advantage of giving you calorie information. It's interesting to see how many calories a dressing adds! I picked up the jerk chicken salad as thought that was a nice unusual meat for a salad and also it was the lowest calorie option - it also recommended the lowest calorie dressing, balsamic vinegar (all pre-packaged salads come with dressing recommendations but you can pick the one you want or none at all, which is cool). The chicken was nice and tasty, so nice and tasty I ate it all first then regretted I only had lettuce leaves and grilled red pepper left. My friend commented they should hide the chicken at the bottom as a reward. But wait! Chop'd had hidden some delicious sweet potato at the bottom as a reward. Winner. I regret they do not use (exclusively) rocket but other than that I liked Chop'd and will be back.

Salad and health food options - nothing revolutionary there but something we need more of in Manchester, so I was looking forward to trying them out. Food wise - great: big bowls of healthy salad and veg with the option to add in some protein or cheese for a treat. Price wise - also great: a 'regular' salad starts at £5.45 and only increases if you want to add more items in - but a mountain of lettuce, a choice of 3 vegetables and healthy dose of chicken was more than enough for me! All sounds pretty good doesn't it but wondering why I give 5 stars? I just love the business model - everything about it. I'm quite in awe with it still a day after being there, here's why: A lot of London imports lose their way when coming to Manchester - they seem chain-y, uninspiring and lack any local touch to really appeal to Mancunians. Chop'd avoid these errors and excel in implementation. They have Grindsmith coffee in house, what a clever touch to go with a local company (a great one I may add) and have their branding and signage way clearer than any 'chopd' logos - a massive h/t there. And finally, the speed and ease of service is second to none. You can pick up a ready made salad, you can create your own from scratch in a process that takes 2 minutes tops and you can even order online from box to full salad and collect when it's ready. It's not revolutionary as I said but whilst Manchester has been booming with investment and expansion, some of the traits the London city joints offer up has seemingly skipped our fair city - well until now. I may be blowing it out of proportion and chances are in 2 years time this same exact experience may only merit 4 stars, but in Manchester current climate Chop'd is a for sure winner. I'm a fan.

This was so delicious and very filling. A slightly pricy lunch, though there are many cheaper options. I think they are mostly veggie here with the exception of smoked salmon, from what I can see. Plenty of vegan options and it seems they cater to allergies and intolerances really well.

On my errands in Broomhill, I made it over for my lunch. This place is strictly takeaway. The menu is quite straight forward, although I am sure there are so many combinations that you would never get bored. I went with the Falafel wrap with coriander hummus, bell peppers, cabbage, jalapenos, and Tahini. I grabbed a canned drink and altogether it was just under £4. Now that is a deal! So on the hole my choice was a poor one. The wife went for the wild boar pizza which was very nice and on the standard on a pizza you would get from Prezo, Pizza Express or Zizzi's. On the whole wildwood is ok but but the menu is not the best and what you seems worthwhile ordering you can get for the same price elsewhere, but if you want to try somewhere different give it a go.

The theme of the restaurant is Italian but with a slight twist. We decided to have a starter which is unusual for us but we decided to share it between us so we wouldn't be too full. We had meatballs in tomato sauce with cheese and I have to say, I never knew meatballs could taste so good. I could have easily eaten a whole meal size of just that, the meatballs fell apart in your mouth and the sauce and cheese were both gorgeous. We were actually regretting only ordering one portion! My boyfriend then ordered Cannelloni with meatballs in bechamel sauce with Nico's recommendation and also told us what the ingredients were as we'd never heard of bechamel sauce before. I ordered a pizza that had peri peri chicken, mushrooms and rosemary. I was a little reluctant at first as I'm not really one for herbs but it was very subtle, not at all overwhelming and I was just sad that I couldn't eat more of it! I tried my boyfriend's cannelloni too and it was fantastic, and I'm not really keen on creamy dishes. One thing that I really liked was that even before our meals came, Nico gave us an extra plate as I think he'd gathered that we liked to share our food. We didn't even have to ask for one, it's nice having waiting staff that use their initiative. The only thing that I didn't like was that I didn't have room for dessert as the dessert menu looked fantastic! There was a really good variation, most restaurants have all similar desserts and a small selection but Wildwood had a fair few to choose from, it took us long enough just to choose our mains because everything looked so good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic too, everyone seemed really happy with their food and the restaurant itself is quite long so there were room for bigger parties. I think the only slight downside was our table was a little too small, I'd have liked a little more space but it wasn't something that was a major inconvenience. We had a good view into the kitchen too and it looked beautiful and well organised, you could see they had a good rhythm going and no one was getting stressed, all the staff seemed very happy which was nice to see. Overall we had one starter, 2 meals and one drink each for just over £35 which is an absolute steal considering the quality of the food. I've been recommending the restaurant to everyone I know and me and my boyfriend have said we'll definitely go again and want to make it a regular thing as we were disappointed we were too full to have dessert and we want to try everything on the menu!

That includes a side of fries. I noticed every restaurant that you walk In the host will ask you about any allergies or intolerances. If you let them know you're they will let you know what to avoid. Or if they do not know they will send you a manager who knows. There must have been a huge problem with allergies and it is a great way to avoid it. It is, in the beginning, a bit annoying until you realize it is actually a good thing (I wonder if Mcdonald's to the same - I'll might have to try that). So I ordered the chicken burger with a breaded fried chicken breast some black pepper mayo sauce some salad, Onions, and a slap of avocado. WOW - the nicely tasting breaded chicken was fried to perfection and it was a really big piece without drying out. Good job! the "burner" was definitely the combination of chicken and that avocado spread mixed in With the black Peppercorn mayonnaise - an almost perfect bite. The bun was not too big to get in the way of tasting what's important all other ingredients have been fresh and am tasty the fries also fried to a crisp state without being burned. Hands down a surprisingly great burger. Oh, I will be back - the service was five starts as well quick, knowledgeable, and friendly!
