This Mcdonald's is your typical Mcdonald's really, right down to the decor, it seems busy and follows the more old-fashioned "classic" approach which Mcdonald's seem to be phasing out for more electronic stores, with electronic ordering stores and talbets for kids to play on while they eat.
This store is in Wigan city center, and a short walk from the Grand Arcade, although I can't help but think it would do better actually being in the shopping center its-self, which many Mcdonald's stores seem to do in other, larger towns, but they seem to avoid in smaller towns, but anyway it isn't a bad location but could be easily missed if you're not from the area, or don't know the area too well.
Compared to other stores, this store doesn't have many facilities to suit a city center branch, it does have free wi-fi, but compared to other stores which are open 24-7, have tablets, Signature Collection, Mobile charging points and drive-thru, this is disappointing especially when even comparing to the nearest two branches on Morris Street and Gower Street.
This store is definitely in need of some sort of refurb, to make it suit a city center branch but for now is basically a typical, average Mcdonald's, but this type of store they seem to be slowly phasing out around the country. read more
