This branch of Mcdonald's is the newer branch which the company has in Manchester city centre, and is one of those places I feel like I have reviewed before but it strangely appear I have not.
The store is located in Piccadilly Gardens on Market Street and obviously due to its location it can become really busy at times.
I've come in here a few times, obviously being coeliac there is a fairly large proportion of the menu I can't eat because of allergies, the main things I can order from here is a bunless burger and fries, sadly one of the few times the UK is behind the rest of Europe is with Mcdonald's Menus as unlike in the likes of Spain and Italy, Mcdonald's do not offer gluten-free buns here.
The branch inside is relatively modern, being new, the amount of seating on the first floor is a little disappointing, but there is a lift connecting to the other level of seating, where there is more seating.
The staff on my visit seemed too rushed, the waiting time even just for a "large fries" still appeared to take longer than expected, the service in this sense was poor, everything just seemed rushed and a giant mess, despite giving ticket numbers the queuing system and area appeared messy, there was no "queue" and the randomness of numbers called out showed.
The overall rushed factor and feel of this place, which ends up showing in terms of food quality as well as service lets this branch down, so sadly Mcdonald's newest branch in Manchester's city centre, located on Market Street sadly deserves a single one star rating. read more
