For as long as I've been living in Utah, I have never stepped foot into a Chubby's...until today! I…read moreswung by to grab a bite after watching The Odyssey in the megaplex theater nearby. When you enter, you order and pay first. Then, you get a number for your table, where they will bring your food out to you. After reviewing their menu, I wanted the cranberry apple salad. Unfortunately, that dish is currently not in season. Their seasonal fruit salad right now is Strawberry Fields, which is great too! I got it with grilled chicken rather than fried chicken. The salad was delicious!! Lots of color from the variety of fruits and veggies. They gave me 2 sauce cups of dressing; I went with poppy seed as my dressing. My friend got the blue cheese bacon burger. By the way, burgers do not automatically come with fries; you must add it on or upgrade to a combo. Also, my friend noticed there were cookie bits in his plain ole vanilla shake; no complaints, just thought it was something to call out since we assume a vanilla shake would just be that and nothing more haha we think there may be vanilla cookies in there. The location is pretty spacious with good amount of seating.

This is the best food we've had since living in Utah. The pulled pork is western NC bbq, so be prepared for that. I was wanting more eastern bbq with that vinegar, but it was still good. Reminded me of east Texas bbq. My son had the mango habanero chicken sandwich and loved it. My girls had a cheeseburger kids meal and cleared their plates. Texas sheet cake, while it's not mine it was still pretty dang good and so were the OG scones. We will be back.

I've heard great things about Burger Pioneers so I have always wanted to give them a go. I was in…read morePleasant Grove on a windy Saturday and Burger Pioneers was calling my name for some lunch. I am not sure what I was expecting, but I definitely thought they were in a more centralized location. They are not too far from State Street but not close to too many other businesses either. The great news is, they have a wide open parking lot with plenty of spaces. Their food truck is super cute. It hardly looks like a truck and resembles more of a massive wagon. They really went all out with the branding and I am here for it. With it being a parked food truck, they didn't have a lobby or an inside but they did have some tables and chairs right outside their truck. Upon approaching the truck, a guy came to stand beside me and take my order. I was not 100% sure what I wanted but I elected for their signature burger with fries. He said that he could bring it out to my car once it was ready, which I extra appreciated because it was not a very nice day out. My total was just shy of 20 bucks, at $19.27. I sorta understand. I mean, they're a local food truck and it seems that they strive to provide much better quality food than other fast food places...but this is pretty steep for just a burger and fries. The food did seem to come out pretty fast and I was excited to try it. The onion on the burger was a bit large, it was almost an inch thick and I think I would've preferred it cut up just a little more. The fries were pretty good but tasted a bit greasier than I would've liked. I did like that it came with a fry sauce. All in all, I really liked Burger Pioneers. I felt that all the flavors were a bit overpowering and almost bitter because of the greasy taste, but it wasn't a bad burger spot. I hope to be back when the weather is nicer with some friends. This is probably such a cute, fun spot in the summer time!

We've passed by a couple times and have seen 4-6 people here everytime, so decided to try this!…read moreOnce we arrived, I believe the owner came out to get our order. We ordered the frontier mushroom Swiss burger as a combo (with waffle fries and canned soda drink). I saw a lot of good reviews for the waffle fries, so I was excited about that. I also only ordered one to share, as the reviews said the portion was large. Taste: The burger was a little bit more on the oily side, but the meat was tender and had great flavour! The waffle fries were also nice and crispy, which I loved. Size: We ordered 1 to share for lunch, and it was the perfect amount. However, if you're super hungry, I recommend ordering your own. Price: It was a little pricey for one burger combo ($14). But I definitely wouldn't mind coming back again! Location: This truck is located on the side of the road, with rocks on the floor and by a lot of parked trailers/cars. The tables were a little wet as it has snowed this week, but the chairs were dry and comfortable. I also saw that they had a standing heater, but it wasn't turned on. I was told that they are parked here in the winter, but move around during the summer for festivals and events. They opened on October 21, 2022.

Come for the Shakes, Skip the Tacos Let me be direct with…read moreyou: the food is unremarkable, if you are coming to Taco Amigo for the tacos, adjust your expectations accordingly. But that is not why you are here. Every summer Taco Amigo does something magical with fresh ripe strawberries and it makes everything else irrelevant. Their strawberry shakes are the real reason this place has a loyal following, and after one try you will completely understand it. Real strawberries, generous with them, blended into something that makes summer feel shorter than it actually is. When strawberry season winds down, the fresh peach shakes take over in the fall and they are nearly as good. Nearly. Yes, the wait on weekends during shake season is real. Go anyway. This is a locally owned spot with a friendly staff, a clean space, and something genuinely special coming out of that blender. That combination deserves support. My honest advice: eat somewhere else first, then stop here for dessert. Order the strawberry shake and find a spot to enjoy it. Five stars, every single one of them earned by that shake.

We waited about 20 minutes in the drive-thru, just for the food to be pretty mid. I get that the shakes are really good, and I was bummed they no longer had their peach shake (even though they were still displaying it on their website). Maybe we're just not ordering the right thing, but from what I've heard, their Mexican food isn't the best and you should stick with the burgers, which is what we did. But like I said, it was just... mid
