My husband and I were chatting about the options and a nearby man chimed in about Vienmex - come to find out it was Jared, the owner! We talked for a while about other stuff, he was very kind and told us all about his wife's restaurant so we decided to give it a try. Happens to be the best of both worlds cause my husband always wants Mexican food and I always want Asian! It was a Monday night so only 2-3 other parties inside. The place has a fun atmosphere and lots of table games which was great for our 3 kids. The food was awesome! We ordered the monster platter to try a little of everything. I loved the sushi taco! The teriyaki chicken hibarito and orange zest wings were also standout. We also ordered a tropical quesadilla and bang bang shrimp tacos which were both delicious too!

We played tabletop Connect-four while waiting for the delicious food. He had a deep fried burrito which was good but maybe a bit heavy on rice. I had the tacos.. two shrimp and one carne asada. The only problem was a bit too much heat from jalapeños. We had the egg rolls as appetizer, they were crunchy and yummy and served with a cooling dipping sauce. He had unsweet ice tea, nice and fresh and I had a Coke Zero. The Coke Zero came in a can and when I went to buy a second, the owner would have none of it. Gave me a second one. I attempted to put $ in the tip jar for it and he politely refused , 'my place, my rules. It's a blessing to serve you, both.' The menu is quite extensive and we'll go back! Last night driving back home to Dallas I walked in and found 3 employees busy cleaning floors, counter food prep areas, and replenishing the yummy looking cookie displays. Music playing just puts you in a relaxed mood. Found little cups with lids full of tasty bites of their Cherry Fudge Pecan Cake. Who knew what a delicious treat these would be. Just like the name, rich fudge-like texture, perfect size pecan pieces, and bits of cherries throughout the sample. So very good. Grabbed a regular size 1lb 14oz- 7inch Original De Luxe Fruit Cake and small Pecan Fruit Cake to take home to add to our holiday dessert table. I did get some macaroons to snack on. Also tried the chocolate Praline, looked like a piece of thin lace. Both were very tasty. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I will be back. See you soon.

I had the Texas Cubano sandwich and it's outstanding. It was a blend of brisket and Cuban sandwich with bacon. It came with very good fried okra. Wife had the Junior TMX burger and it was HUGE ! She was even asked by the staff how she wanted it cooked - they followed it and it was cooked to perfection. It too, came with fried okra. We both had endless sweet tea. Adult beverages and a very nice bar are available for those who partake. Karaoke weekdays and local live Texas Music artists on the weekends for $5 cover charge.
