We ordered the Chicago Dog, the Reuben Sandwich, and finished things off with a cannolo (yes, the singular form of cannoli). The Chicago Dog was delicious and loaded with flavor, although I have to admit the toxic-green relish initially threw me off a bit (see pic). Once I got past the visual shock, it was actually a fantastic hot dog that stayed true to its Chicago roots. The real star, though, was the Reuben Sandwich. At around $15, it was absolutely worth every penny. Generously stacked, perfectly toasted, and packed with tender meat, melty Swiss, tangy sauerkraut, and just the right amount of dressing. The cannolo was the perfect sweet ending to the meal -- crisp shell, creamy filling, and not overly sweet. What really stood out was how friendly everyone was. Pay at the register. Don't forget to tip, the servers work hard as there is normally only a few on hand and they have to serve the dining room, the parking lot/walk up window, and a robust carry out business. If you're interested; Kidds is still an old fashioned drive in so if you want service in your car they still do it but give them some extra time. They recently added a walk up window which I prefer as it's faster and easier. The food is diner food and pretty good for most things. I love the burgers here but some people don't.
