TLDR: Skip the trip and go to Bojangles instead. Don't waste your time here. Ordering is a hassle since communication through the speakers is poor (and not just through ours). Food takes about 20 minutes to arrive at your car. Plus it's poor quality for the price. We ordered popcorn chicken, pretzel twist, ice cream, tator tots, and mozzarella sticks. The tator tots were the highlight of the meal. The popcorn chicken would have been better plain, but the options were Buffalo or Honey BBQ sauce. We chose Buffalo hoping it would be on the side. No luck, the chicken was covered in Buffalo sauce. It was not good and unfortunately was discarded. We ended up driving straight to Bojangles after for chicken. The pretzel twist was warm, soft, salty, and greasy, overall not bad. Ice cream and mozzarella sticks were okay. I do like how easy the menu is to read, paying by card through the kiosk, and how they display the items ordered as you request them. This allowed us to correct the errors. After correcting during the ordering process, our meal was accurate. The employee who brought it to our car was enthusiastic and friendly. read more

The drive thru speaker needs to be fixed. The employees taking the orders can never hear what you're saying and they make you literally yell your order out and when they can't hear you they get an attitude. Customer service is worse with every visit but food is normally ok but this time around it was horrible. I could definitely tell the chicken patty was old because it was very burnt and extremely soggy/greasy. $27 for 2 combos and a small order of stale popcorn chicken that they automatically decided to make medium and not even give us medium drinks or tots. My 61 year old sister went in there last night and had an issue with two male employees. She ordered coke to drink, and it tasted bad, so she brought it back, letting them know the carbination or syrup might be running out. The guy with the shaved head and ponytail replied, "Yeah, it probably is," and then stood there. He didn't offer a replacement or anything, so she asked if they had Dr. Pepper or something else. With an irritated tone, he replied, "Well, I can try." At that point, she figured she would let them know about the uncooked, mushy tots and burned chicken. Then another young man joins in saying, "ma'am, if you don't tell us, we won't know." After they both repeated that a few times, she said, "That's what I'm doing. I just want to be able to eat this" as she had paid $26 for the meal. No solution was offered. Instead, both employees began laughing at her frustration. She got mad and dropped her food on the floor. This was admittedly wrong. However, these two men then began yelling at her, a 98lb woman, to "Pick up her mess!!!" over and over again, while physically backing her toward her vehicle. Once she began picking it up, they continued laughing at her. When she got home, she called the 800 number that has been offered in several of these reviews. She spoke with a man. He offered nothing more than the words "I'm sorry that happened." he did not even ask for her information. We have both tried calling the location for hours and NO ONE answers. They never have any ice cream, I have called before driving 15 minutes to Siler city only to be told they didn't have any ice cream and that their machine had been broken all day. After many different trips I called the corporate office said they were a franchise and he would pass it along. Nothing has changed. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I pulled up to the drive-thru window, there were two cars in line ahead of me. The young man was outside the building completing the transaction of the car in front of me. So that car left leaving the one at the window. After that one left I continue to sit at the drive-thru window waiting for someone to take my order. I sat there in total for almost 8 minutes and no one ever acknowledged that I was sitting there. They could see me, they knew I was there, but they did not bother to take my order. This is the second time this restaurant has done this. You people need to get your act together! read more

While I waited on a Friday night at 10PM for 15 minutes for my 6 buffalo boneless wings and 4 jalapeño poppers, I watched in awe as 3 workers chatted and hung out with visiting friends... the friends going in and out of the employees only entrance ... I could have went inside and made my own food in that amount of time... Where is the manager? Our family went to Sonic i Siler City 5/30/15 and the tables were full and lot and drive0thru was full. We waited 45 min for milk shakes and had to leave. A van got there shakes and sent them back because they were melted. People were asking when they were getting there orders and couldn't be told. We have never been there and had to wait that long. I ordered a DARK CHOCOLATE custard with Oreo pieces. They gave me a regular vanilla ice cream with some oreo crumbs on top. No big deal, really.... accidents happen.... fast food places are skimpy..... but when I took it back, they told me they didn't have dark chocolate custard. not as in, they were out at the moment, no, they just "don't have that." I pointed to the picture and asked why I wasn't getting what the picture shows and what the NAME of the product suggests, DARK CHOCOLATE, the girl got annoyed with me and said she would fix it. she pumped several pumps of chocolate syrup into some vanilla "custard" and put a lot more oreos on top. still not dark chocolate, but whatever. Awful!!! NO STARS!! Ordered 2 hotdogs all the way without cheese with a side of onion rings. Onion rings were literally dripping with rancid grease. Hotdogs were plain wieners on a bun. So I recalled the waitress. She took them back inside to fix them up. Then she comes out and informs me that it will be an extra $2.88 for the extra ingredients. I said OK. Fine. I'm hungry. I've visited this sonic several times. If, like me, you read the negative comments, I have to say that I'm not surprised by them. I encountered many problems that have been mentioned and some that haven't. Rudeness, carelessness, and straight up indifference from the staff. Under cooked burgers. Thankfully I didn't eat it so I wouldn't get sick! It took me forever to get a refund! I vowed never to go back. The manager didn't seem to care that her crew was running wild, so to speak. Whatever, other Sonics around. Until, a few months ago I saw the sonic sign saying all positions for hire. It took me awhile but I went back. Apparently, management changed and the new manager got rid of the entire crew. It is now back to being what you expect of Sonic. Sometimes even better. The manager has hired individuals who treat me with respect saying "yes ma'am" and doing what it takes to ensure I'm taken care of. Even the carhops go around to cars offering extra condiments. This Siler City Sonic has changed!! They have a bad reputation because of the previous management style but trust me the ones who work there now are not deserving of such bad reviews. Literally the worst Sonic I have ever been to. Every time I order food, they mess it up. I wait a few months, give them another chance, and they inevitably fail. On one occasion, I ordered an Ultimate Breakfast Burrito without a tortilla. So, should be eggs, cheese, sausage, bacon, and tater tots with a zesty sauce. Instead, they brought me eggs, half a sausage patty, and jalapeño slices. Like... what?! I didn't want to cause an issue so I just threw it away and vowed never to get sucked into this Sonic again. Well, today, I gave in again. I ordered a number 14 - a sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito - with tots and sweet tea. I asked them to please bring ketchup for the tots, because they NEVER offer it. The car hop comes out. Forgot the ketchup. So I start to eat my breakfast burrito while she goes and gets it. Come to find... the ketchup that was explicitly for the tater tots had been put on the burrito. This time I informed the car hop, but didn't send it back since I had already eaten some. They made no effort to apologize, and the car hop even tried to tell me that that's how the burrito comes... Never again, Sonic. Never again. read more

I placed my order and when the waitress brought it out she asked for payment. I already had paid using the card swipe on the order board by my car (and it had said on its tiny screen 'Approved' and 'Printing Receipt'). She dropped off the food with no napkins and no straw. She then came back out and said she needed my card as they couldn't find a receipt. I asked her why and she said they needed to swipe it again. I refused (knowing a second swipe would charge me a second time). She then came back and said they were able to finally tell it had charged my card. Having been accused of lying about paying I asked for a copy of my receipt (which I also need for reimbursement purposes). She departed and came back advising they couldn't find nor print a copy of the receipt. I advised I would need to talk to the manager as I still needed a receipt. Fifteen minutes later after seeing several employees going and coming from the building I asked yet again for the manager. A young man came over and said they couldn't get a receipt for me and that they were busy. I reminded him that we the customers are the reason they have any business. As he was not the manager I requested for the second time to speak to a manager. He brought back a piece of paper with a name written on it and the stores phone number. I advised I would need a receipt or to speak now with the manager. After 15 more minutes I pressed the order button and reminded them I needed a receipt or the manager or both. Someone calling herself Meghan saying she was a manager came out and angrily told me she could not provide a receipt and no one could. I advised her that the store could lose its right to accept VISA if they refused to provide customers a receipt and that she should call the General Manager for instructions on how to print a duplicate receipt (as clearly they lost the original). She refused so I advised her that without a receipt I could use for reimbursement purposes I should receive a refund. She demanded I give back the food (which she could see I had already eaten during the debacle) or I would get no refund. She stormed away. A few minutes passed so I called the store number and asked for the GM. They advised the GM was not there but that my refund was on its way to me. Finally 30 minutes after my meal and being first accused of not paying and then argued with I received my refund. I will be calling VISA and am writing reviews on every website I can find. read more
