The owner is local and the restaurant has the feel of eating with friends. The local public schools have a long tradition of winning sports programs and memorabilia of state championships and antique license plates and old signage adorns the walls. Rough lumber walls evoke the feel of the namesake, "barn," and the place is kept clean. The food is very good and reasonably priced. We ate tonight with our family of four with two kids' grilled cheese sandwiches (a side and drink come with the kid meals) and a large pizza with a two liter bottle of Coke for $34 and change (including tax but not including tip).
