It's tough to get what you on your sandwich at this store. They seem to only want to make a sandwich their way

The food is nothing special, but the manager is the best. She knows pretty much every regulars order by heart and has good banter.

Norman Quacks has been known for their Seasoned/Smoked Prime Rib, and their hand battered onion rings. This time the Prime Rib Was not quite as good as all the times in the past. The main reason of this review is because they always had really good drinks. However, this time when I ordered an Old Fashion, and the wife a Cosmo, neither drink was good. The Old Fashion was extremely watered down to the point I couldn't taste if there was any brandy including it was only barely over an 1-1/2" in the glass. The wife's Cosmo tasted like it was mostly only cranberry juice. Hopefully this is not a trend, and just a mixup with the bartender. We have normally gone on a Friday night, but this time it was a Saturday. Bar area was full however only about 6 tables of people in dining room.

I was excited to find a bagel shop that reminded me of living on the East Coast back in New Jersey…read more My experience at Big Apple Bagel was not of any bagel shop I remember from back home. I ordered a half dozen bagels, a 8 oz cream cheese and a side of cream cheese for curbside pickup. After my order was brought to my car, I checked it to make sure everything was correct. The side of cream cheese was in a container that you would normally get in a togo order for a side sauce. It may hold an ounce of cream cheese. Mind you, it was $2.40 where the 8 oz. was $6.00. I went in to talk to the person at the counter and they told me that the side of cream cheese comes in that small container. I asked to return it and then I would just buy the larger 8 oz. container instead. They said that was not allowed because it already left the store. Being in customer service, it would have made sense to just give me the credit for the small side of cream cheese to purchase the $6.00 8 oz. container. If anyone wants good bagels and cream cheese, go downtown to Rise Bagels. That is where I would typically go for bagels but I thought I would try Big Apple Bagels due to it being closer. This was my first and last time ever trying Big Apple Bagels and I will keep going to Rise Bagels instead. Mind you, the cream cheese was not even good. We got the very strawberry and it didn't have a lot of strawberry flavor. Also the garden veggie tasted not as good as the store bought Philadelphia version.

The bagel itself was bland and I was a little disappointed they use Kraft cheese instead of real cheese Wah Wah. The chai latte though! Whatever magic they're doing for that was top notch delicious.

The service is friendly with decent wait times for our meals. We happened to be there during happy hour and the cocktails were delicious - $4/5 margaritas and sangrias! Highly recommend this spot and we will definitely come back!

This time, we went with their gluten friendly options: the jambalaya, veggie fries and blackened fish tacos. Both were OK. The jambalaya was not good; the situation with the vegetables especially was not it. They were cut julienned rather than diced and they were overcooked and mushy. The flavor of the overall dish didn't have your classic jambalaya taste so it was all a bit off, and the meat didn't have much flavor to them individually. The tacos were what you would expect when ordering, good adding some hot sauce. The side of veggie fries were good, I really appreciated that option for a side. Service was alright both times. First visit was maybe a 4 stars and second visit was a strong 2 stars, so my review is averaging to a 3.
