Love Subway, but not this location. Went here once and totally felt like a burden as a customer. Two ladies were on the line making sandwiches and when I approached the first women she was obviously not in the best mood, but I just wanted my lunch. I asked for a meatball marinara and and she rolled her eyes/shrugged and didn't ask for what type of bread or how long of a sandwich assuming I would just say it, like I'm sorry I don't work here and don't come here often enough to tell you my order. She continues to make my sandwich and I apologize and ask her if she could kindly put a little extra marinara inside of my sandwich and in irritation she grabs the spoon full of marinara and spills marinara all over the side of the sandwich like asking for extra sauce was the worst thing that could've ever happened to her and how dare I. I ordered online because I was busy, I went to take a bite out of my sandwich to then end up chipping my tooth because there was a rock in it and then I went to take a bite out of the other half of my sandwich and there was a big seed in it that wasn't supposed to be in my sandwich. It's like any other Subway...except this one had fruit flies all over the food preparation area and on the food that was currently made. I was waiting in line to buy my sandwich when I noticed there was fruit flies flying into the lettuce,tomatoes, vegetables, etc. This only happens when its not winter because the bugs aren't here. I was just surprised how the staff didn't notice or didn't care. I just think its nasty to eat food that has been infested with fruit files, otherwise it would be your normal tasty subway. I had always liked Subway in Fairfield, IA till today. They have hired a new person. A youth who wears glasses. He is extremely rude, impolite and incompetent. Looks like he has an attitude that is not fit for customer service. He makes customers feel uncomfortable by behaving as if customers are greatest pain to his existence. He sighs makes annoying noises and generally makes customers feel inferior to him. He expect customers to bow before him and plead him for food. They do have other new hires. There is this new young girl. Very courteous. Always smiling and always welcoming. The new boy has spoiled the atmosphere at Subway Fairfield, IA. Wish the owners or authorities would notice this and briddle this trouble monger if they wish to continue with their propserous business in Fairfield, IA. I have been patronizing Subway, Fairfield, IA for past several years. I have never felt unwelcome there until this boy joined. He is not only uncourteous to customers, he does not help his collegues.
