food was good and served really fast so I would definitely recommend it here! If you love fast food read more

McDonald's - Fast Food Near Me - Mount Pleasant, Iowa

I take back what I said in my last review, THIS is the best Spicy McCrispy I've ever had. Thick and juicy chicken. Odd for a McDonald's, but I'm not complaining. Very kind staff and good speedy service. I didn't like how the drinks were behind the counter, so they made your drinks for you, and I was unable to get my own water. Overall a good experience with kind customers as well. It was poppin for a Monday morning. read more

worst mcdonalds ive ever been at in my LIFE. placed an order at 8:45 at the kiosk. waited 20 minutes for someone to help me pay cash. ended up paying card against my will because i woulda waited another 30 minutes for the damn manager who needs to get fired. her staffs calling her 10 times and no one is helping the manager is ignoring and taking their sweet time while 30 people waiting. i wish i could get my 50 dollars back for waiting over an hour since i placed my order. insane. DO NOT COME HERE. i rather starve. quick bite turned into pissing us off and wasting my time. FIRE HALF THE STAFF AND THE MANAGER yall have a attitude problem and zombie walkers. never again. read more

I don't feel this place even deserves one star. Completely rude staff, giving us attitude through the drive through when they didn't have my order correct, along with actually yelling at me at the window to go to the next one. Not to mention over the last week the wait time for online orders or dine in orders I've waited for two hours THREE times! They need to work on hospitality and time management. I was with my 9year old niece when two employees got in a screaming match with a customer over how long his food was taking because he waited for over an hour and the same night while we were waiting for our food we heard several employees in the kitchen fighting and having screaming matches with each other! Do better. read more

Does NOT deserve a rating at all! Waiting 20 freaking minutes in the drive through ONLY for a cookie tote! Car in front of me ONLY got a McFlurry so it shouldn't have taken this long! When got to the window, the worker was just standing around having a conversation with another worker there. Got my cookie tote, and had to go straight back to work, bec my lunch break was ONLY 30 minutes, and I spent 20 MINUTES waiting in the freaking drive through! Average data shows that McDonalds being a FAST FOOD restaurant has an average drive through time, the time you order-the time you are served, of just 5 min and 30 seconds!!! This was NOT the case for this McDonalds! Don't expect this McDonalds to actually be a "fast food" restaurant, because it's NOT!!! read more

Worst McDonald's ever. Employees touching dogs and phones and then food. Over 30 minutes for a basic order. Got our food and it was full of excessive grease and we didn't even eat it. Do not go here!!! read more

Terrible experience, long wait, rude workers, food quality terrible. Do not come here. No matter if its the closest one to you. Do not come.

Service is extremely slow and waiting forever to get food at 3:30pm 1/29/25 Still waiting at this time read more

First of all they ain't open 24/7. They randomly close when they see fit. 4 in the afternoon if they want. Aside from closing the store without filling orders that have been paid for and not refunding my money, and EVERY time I try to use my points they come tell me that it is not available. They can't replace the points after you spend them. No matter if you get your shit or not, this place is a joke. Shit food. Shit customer service, shit people running the show. I've been nice even for a woman to pick up the phone while I was leaving a voicemail to say " the doors are locked. We are closed" and hang up on me at 4pm. Shut it down and build a Wendy's already and don't hire the same junk crew. Just saying. read more

Ordered on the mobile app for curbside pick up. After 20 minutes, went inside to check. Got 2 of our drinks. Waited another 15 minutes so we finally went through the drive thru to check because we weren't getting anywhere inside. They no longer had any record of our order and couldn't give us a refund. We'd have to go through the app she said. So we left with no food and went to the app from the road, only to find that you had to get a refund from the restaurant. So we're out the $$$ too. read more

They were out of my precious Squishmallow happy meal toy. Made me angry. The service was good though, very nice workers. Did not know what the ambiance was because we went through drive through. But I'm still angry about it. read more

this is actually ass. I have places to be and i gotta wait 20 minutes, missing my events i NEED to be at. BS- need to do a lot better.

Food is always missing and beyond slow. Usually get pulled ahead and wait between 20+ min in drive through. Have waited over an hr just find half my food messed up and missing read more

Ugh! Can I give this place ZERO stars?! McDonald's is not supposed to be great food, but it IS supposed to be dependable. Consistent. See Golden Arches, know what to expect. Not here. Bun on my chicken sandwich was burned. Couldn't eat it. So I just ate the patty. It was dry. They left the sauce off. They remembered the sauce on my wife's sandwich, but plopped on way too much on her filet-o-fish -- AND smeared it on the top of her bun. The fish was only stuck into the bread about 1/3rd of the way. Because it was so gloopy, I had to find a clean utensil in the car to lift the fish onto the bun and then clean off the excess sauce. It did seem both the young man who took my money and the kid who gave us our food at the drive-through were high. Perhaps marijuana is popular among the staff here? read more

this place is so nasty and disrespectful, i don't understand how they are still open and running. they can never get my order right it's always something wrong with it. today they messed up my order as I go in the manager Lorena kept staring and walking pass me, as I'm standing inside and won't asked what's wrong with my food you want to ask another coworker what's going on but they don't know cause they never talked to me. again im pulled up for 2 coffees as I get it they taste like dog shit, taste like straight cream and no coffee why am I getting pulled up for 10 min for coffee this place I also wanted a meal with my order but only got the sandwich and drink. This is my final and last trying with this place they definitely got bad customers service and need to be addressed and if I could do no star I would read more

was in the drive through for 5-10 mins while 3-4 cars in the other lane were helped. Shit service Isn't worth a flattened burger that was probably dropped by a high schooler who just hit their dab pen. #freeluigi read more

Food was undercooked, didn't give us everything we ordered, the service was beyond slow I have never been so disappointed in a fast food restaurant, the frappe machine was down and they told us after the fact instead of during our time ordering, they did not make the substitution drinks correctly and gave us attitude when we asked for the drink to be remade read more

Terrible experience. If you are in a hurry do not go here!! Waited 30 minutes for food and then was told that they didn't know what happened to it and they were going to refund my money. No offers to rush my order or anything. Staff was very rude except for the person cleaning tables and sweeping the floor. She was the only one there that knows what good customer service is. Will absolutely not go back!! read more

Atmosphere was horrible. Lady that krot cleaning tables off kept talking to us while we were trying to eat...trying to get us to give her a tip. Food was wrong when delivered to the table. Fries were cold and stale. read more

Would give it a -5 star review if possible I walked in it took about 40 minutes to get our food then went to get some ketchup but it was chunky and old we then proceeded to look for a table but only found one that was actually half way cleaned sat down started eating the food was cold on the inside went up to the register to get ketchup and in the 15 minutes it took them to get to me I counted probably 20 different health hazards in the store. read more

Great experience! I'm from out of town and the manager Caleb went out of his way to help me out on correcting an issues I had with a order. Thanks for all the hard work! read more

Very slow drive through - two lanes but it seems to make it even more confusing to people. You aren't tricking us with two lanes when it seems like the same person is waiting on both. Ice cream machine was broken, that was disappointing since that was the main reason I was sent. Order was taken properly. Change was given properly. My rating is on the speed (40 minutes!) and the broken equipment. When you are the only McDonalds in a 1 horse town you can get away with about anything. read more

McD's is basically an automated food delivery system. Designed so most functions can be performed by basic life forms. This location 'bucks' the system. Amazingly stupid staff.... It may be worth a visit to witness. read more

A convenient stop for those heading east/west through IA along 34. Super fast service...they have two order stations for drive thru that commingle down to one pick up lane. I thought it would be janky but it worked well. Would I prefer to eat local? Yup. But when you are already behind on a road trip and only can afford to be off the road for about 5 minutes, McD's is a good bet. The food was hot and just as we ordered it. I've marked it on our atlas for the next trip. read more

We stayed in town for a soccer tournament. Called the night before to have a big order in the morning over 20 sandwiches and 30 cinnamon rolls . They made a note and said they would let the morning staff know. I called at 6:30 the next morning and they had everything ready to prep and would be ready by 7:15. Went to pick up things and everything was boxed and ready to go. They even helped carry things out in a rain storm. Awesome staff! Thank you!! read more

The restrooms were out of TP we had to tell 3 people, and it took them 45 minutes to refill them. But what the heck it took 40 minutes to get our food. read more

This McDonalds is the worst place to go. Always messes up you order and takes 10 plus minutes in drive through (if you can get them to take your order). So I would rate this store a -5. Negative five. read more

One of the staff was rude to me while I was trying to order in the drive though. I went to KFC where I got what I wanted without the drama.

McDonald's is good for its old menu. I don't really like the new quarter pounder with cheese, way too greasy. And the new signature burger barbecue style was - OK. read more

It's McDonald's It's the only one or 30 miles and it's on the edge of town. It's good they have the newspaper and they all speak English, for now. read more

Average in terms of service and food. Interior is nice and appears to have a more recent renovation. They charge extra if you want an orange juice in lieu of coffee. There's no charge for soda and we discovered you can get hot tea as well. My mother received a bit of an attitude from the employee when she asked for a cup of ice for her tea until a manager gave her the okay. The breakfast sandwiches were fine. My hashbrown was gross. It was like biting into a grease cake and not crispy at all. I didn't feel like having a McD's BM so it got tossed. read more

Good food, like always. but people working their are rude and annoyed. most of the time they forgot something in my order, drive thru is very slow. read more

DO NOT go to this McDonald's unless you want COLD FRIES, SLOPPY SANDWICHES , and SLOW SERVICE!! This place is filthy! The service is slow and the drive thru can NEVER get an order correct!! The staff could care less about serving customers. The food is generally low quality. And the drive thru is INCREDIBLY slow!! It can take 10 minutes to get food when you are the only customer in line! And there is no guarantee it will be hot, even when you specifically request "hot, fresh" food. We have stopped going to this McDonald's because of the poor service and terrible quality of food served there. I would give ZERO stars but that wasn't an option. read more

If you like very slow service and half your order missing every time,.this place is for you. The staff are nice. Food is fresh. But this is not a fast food place read more

I'm a local that has eaten here frequently. This location serves a lot of people and they serve them fast. Food is what you would expect for a McDonalds. read more

crap drive thru i had to run out my car and catch my money cause the lady couldnt hold it

Absolutely the worst McDonald's I've ever been to, and I've been to them in all 50 states, China, Japan, Korea etc. They are slow, inaccurate and generally incompetent! The food quality is inconsistent. Never go if you're in a hurry! The concept of fast has eluded them! It's absolutely management's fault! Whoever owns this one needs to fire everyone there and start over! read more

Very very slow! Took 25 minutes to go through drive thru, we got pulled forward along with everyone else in the drive thru then they came out with food about 3 different times until they could match any of the food up with anyone and by the time we got our food it was cold read more

It's McDonalds so that's what you get, if you order a hot apple pie ask if any are ready before you pay, had to wait 10 minutes once.....once.
