Typical subway. It's pretty unique as it is kinda in a basement. I am giving this an extra star bump because it seems to be a good luck charm for my browns. I've eaten at this subway before 4 games that I've attended over the last 10-12 years snd the browns are 4-0 in those games. I don't make the trip often as I live in Louisville. But coming to this Subway will become my thing when I do visit and tatted games. Of this streak keeps growing I'll have to bump this rating to a 5.

I could not stop taking pictures of this corned beef sandwich. It's a work of art, assembled by a…read moreteam of artisans working an assembly line of meat and bread. The slicer never stops. They just keep placing another brisket on, and the ribbons of beef keep falling. The order counter is tiny, with a line out the door: regulars, tourists like me, and food delivery drivers all waiting their turn. There are meat trimmings everywhere, tubs of pickles, and the sense that the folks behind the counter know exactly what they are doing. The small dining room is packed with people sitting elbow to elbow, gripping massive sandwiches with stadium mustard in the corners of their mouths. It is loud, cramped, messy, and glorious. I've gone to heaven.

I joined the line just before 11 and got inside about 11:50 AM. I'm currently standing in line waiting on my sandwich which is a corned beef melt. I ordered a corned beef melt, which is toasted rye, cornbeef, double Swiss cheese - hot & melted with Kraut on the side and dressing. I got a side of potato pancakes, and also coleslaw. The folks were extremely friendly on the inside, very welcoming and very efficient as they worked to make who knows how many meals. And you'll be glad to know every sandwich comes with a dill pickle, wrapped in its own paper and ready for delicious consumption! The dill is a big deal to me because I like spears, as in the pickle not necessarily (in this case) the pop star! Come early and be ready to wait! The place is really kitchsy and has a great atmosphere. And the folks really make it awesome to be there. It has the feel of a destination restaurant the kind of place that is an experience to visit not just because of the food because of the culture and the people and the phenom that it has become.

When I walked in, I had to settle for an unbelievably delicious scrapple sandwich because they were temporarily out of pastrami. Scrapple with a handmade, red, cabbage, slaw, onion, marmalade, and cheese. So creative and so delicious. My wife had asparagus and fennel soup. The fennel perfectly cut through the richness of the asparagus. Add to this one of the best potato salads I've ever had and it would've been enough. Until Jeremy came over to the table with some fresh pastrami to taste. I don't know where the best pastrami in America is, but whatever it is it's unlikely to be better than this. This is a place you should not miss.

The place is simply decorated with a general store feel and lot of James Beard awards that adorn a wall. It is fairly clean and they do a great business serving guests dining in, as well as to go pick up orders. The lady that assisted me was friendly & professional and was able to accommodate me since I am not a fan of rye bread. I ordered their Pastrami and an order of French fries that came with a seasoned aioli. Both were large helpings. The sandwich was still warm and seasoned real well with sauerkraut. They do offer a few different options that include a fried chicken sandwich too, lots of sides too. It is located in what appears to be a former firehouse. I'm glad I came by to try them out.

It's a cute little place right near the lake with white brick walls, a casual atmosphere, and phenomenal service. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and sat right away. Our waitress truly went above and beyond for us, making our visit feel extra special!! Everything is so fresh here--they even make their own pretzels and sandwich bread from scratch! We shared a Soft Pretzel served with house-made brown butter cream cheese which was absolutely delicious. For mains, I got the Cheese Steak Dip and my husband got the Surf & Turf. Highly recommend checking them out!

Sandwich was good, but a little heavy on the lettuce. We also got the chicken skins with ranch, which of course are the best part of fried chicken. Very good, but we need to go later on dusting next time. We also got a brown sugar rice crispy treat which we got one to split and then we ended up getting a second one because it was so good. Cheers, the good company
