I notice a stocky older woman named Yvette, behind the counter looking at me and my son who is in front of me. She says in a nasty tone....You gotta buy something to use the restroom. Now I am upset because I am clearly not homeless and I am standing behind my son who is stimming. I tell her I know but it's an emergency and that my child is special needs and he really has to go! She slowly walks from behind the counter and walks to the women's restroom to unlock it. Then young man early 20's comes out from the men's restroom. She ignorantly signals for my son to use that restroom. I tell her, no he can't just go in by himself. He's special needs and can't talk. She gives me more rude facial expressions and then turns her back to shield the bathroom code from me and flings the door open and walks away. If I purchased prior to, would I have been given the code or does an employee have to open the restrooms up every time? I do understand that you have policies and procedures that you have put in place to make sure the restaurant runs smoothly. However, your staff doesn't have to be rude and nasty. Using common sense combined with logic could have helped Yvette understand that it was possible a child with special needs couldn't hold it and that food would be purchased after the fact. Rules are in place but discretion should also be used! I kept my cool with her because me "getting her together" on the spot would have upset my son. I was still respectful to her and told her thank you as she briskly and rudely walked away. Of course I purchased nothing because her attitude! I was outdone and livid!
