The woman (owner?) working the counter was super nice. I had The Brooklyn and my wife had the turkey sandwich. The Brooklyn was out of this world with amazing pastrami and slaw. There was this awesome sweet/salty thing going on with their honey mustard and slaw combo. The turkey sandwich was a little less interesting but still delicious. Homemade potato salad was excellent. The only disappointing aspect was that the soups are obviously trucked in/premade and reheated in the microwave. All in all we will definitely be back the next time we pass through Chetek!

We were headed to Cameron, Wisconsin to visit the pioneer museum and needed to stop for lunch. This…read morerestaurant is right out in the middle of the country. We drove up and we were the only customer there but it was a Thursday lunch. We had a delightful waitress that was very friendly and engaged in a nice conversation. I ordered a small salad with bacon and blue cheese and pistachios. It was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a cup of their daily soup, which was also homemade and very good. I am gluten-free so this was a great meal for me. My husband got cod sandwiches and homemade chips which he was happy with. My daughter got a large Caesar salad which she also thought was very good. My daughter got a fluffernutter after dinner drink which she thought was totally amazing! We decided that we have to come back next year when we go to Chetek on vacation again. We want to try supper next time. The restaurant is beautiful and clean as a pin inside. You won't be disappointed give this place a try.

A full bar, solidly poured drinks and accommodating servers allow you to settle in. A menu with enough choices to satisfy everyone. Our group mostly ordered the smoked chicken wing special. Large, well prepared wings were appreciated by everyone in our party. I added an order of twice baked potato skins. Not only were they fantastic, they were huge. My side became a shareable for the table. We finished up with some dessert drinks. They were great and put the exclamation point on our visit. Definitely consider this place when you are hungry and in the area!

A few years ago, I would have been hard pressed to give this place two stars. In the past couple of…read moreyears, they done some painting, refreshed the decor and replaced the carpet. It is now what you expect of a small, local diner; reasonably priced food that is reasonably good. Norm's has a small parking lot in front of the business and available parking on the street. It keeps diner hours to feed the breakfast and lunch needs of the community. The menu is not huge, but there is something for everyone. They also offer at least a couple of daily specials on erasable boards in the restaurant. In addition to the food being freshly prepared, the portion size is nice and the price is affordable. The last visit I made, my dining partner got the burger, fries and drink for $8. My hot ham sandwich and fries were about the same. Our third dining partner had a sandwich. Everyone was satisfied and the bill was less than $23. This isn't high end dining; but you won't have bad food and you won't be broke. Give it a try.
