Been looking for a good Chinese place in the area & happily we found the Happy Wok. First they have an extensive menu. My Wife had Beef & Snowpeas, my daughter had Chicken Lo Mein & I had Hunan Beef & Shrimp. All three of us were pleased with our meals. Egg rolls were also good. While we were there for dinner, they do offer a lunch buffet so we'll definitely be back to try that. The staff was friendly too. The restaurant was clean and I'm always impressed by an open kitchen because that means they have nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to cleanliness. read more

Been getting takeout for at least 15 years here and I had enough. They can't seem to get their orders right. Told me they would credit me next order. On next order asked for credit and rude lady said they would not give me full credit and said I was just trying to get free food. I told them I will never will order again from them and hung up. read more

Loved their food in the past. Yesterday I went to get chicken and shrimp fried rice. Chicken (did not know until it was part of the way done) was not cooked fully. And the shrimp was not cooked fully, rice was soggy not fried. Very disappointed. I notified the owner that it gave my boyfriend and I food poisoning and they told me I was bothering them. My family is visiting from Seattle where we are blessed to have a LOT of delicious Asian food. I was skeptical when my Grandma picked Happy Wok for buffet lunch. While this was not on the same level as I've experienced elsewhere, I was pleasantly surprised by the buffet offerings. The broccoli beef had a very flavorful brown sauce--top notch. The crab wontons were crispy and delicious. The General Tso's chicken, kung pao chicken and hot & sour soup were all a little bland, but given the older crowd at the buffet I expect that was intentional and made-to-order entrees would be more spicy and flavorful. All the ingredients were solid. With the expectation that non-buffet items will meet individual tastes, I give it 4-stars as a solid Chinese food option in a rural area. read more

Standard take-out Chinese food. Nothing crazy, but just hits the spot. They do a nice lunch buffet for those times you just can't decide.

This is the best Chinese I've ever had. I live in the cities and every time I come visit family here, I stop and grab a bite to eat. I have yet to find a comparable chinese reatraunt in the cities. read more

I really wish this place was better. It WAS a becoming regular stop heading to the cabin. Seemed like it wasn't cooked enough. Chicken was always a bit too chewy. Very good brown sauces, e.g. chicken or beef with broccoli. Buffet weekdays is good. Not a fan of the fried wontons but the potstickers are good. Clean, tasty, a broad menu with most of the Chinese options you can expect. read more

I hate to leave a super negative review here. This is a small town family business which had great food and I loved eating here... until I got severe food poisoning that lasted almost 2 wks. Won't eat here again... took me a year just to trust chinese food again in general and I still am not keen on it. read more

Stopped here for lunch on a trip from Chetek to Turtle Lake. I decided to pay for the buffet. Sadly, virtually every item was bland and lacked flavor. Nobody seemed to be in a hurry to bus the tables, and one table had a tall pile of dishes. All in all, stopping at Subway instead would have been a better choice. read more

I have always had great food at this location, one of the best for Chinese food, and we have been going here for over 10 years. Sorry for the girl who was sick for 2 weeks, but food poisoning does not last that long. Also, they don't bus the tables, you are supposed to put your own plate in the bins they provide. I love this place! I always get the chicken on a stick with pork fried rice and I love it! I did try the buffet and am mot a fan but order from the menu and it awesome one of my favorite place to eat and the staff is really nice. read more
