We had a gathering planned. I came in and preordered. Let them know date and time of pick up. The food was so good. Everyone kept asking where did you get this. I gave her my budget we worked out a meal plan that fit. Took 6 trays of food. The other person in the restaurant helped bring the food to the truck. Nicely wrapped and covered. The wantons. We're so good. I don't think I have any better than those. The ambiance was a warm friendly helpful restaurant that understood what I was going for and delivered in the most friendly small town way. I have ordered food and have eaten in the restaurant many times over the years. I have been pleased with their food and service. But today changed that. It was New Year's Day and I ordered Mongolian Beef with broccoli and cashews, along with some potstickers. As usual, the potstickers were fine. But the Mongolian Beef was a huge disappointment. Upon opening the container I found two small sprigs of broccoli, lots of onions and very little beef. I was shocked and felt ripped off. It got me wondering if they are cutting down on meat portions to keep profits up. Needless to say, they have lost my business. read more

The place is nice and clean, and I find that when I order takeout, either on the phone or online, it is always ready ahead of their estimated time. This was disappointing. The Mongolian Chicken was a sloshy....oniony mess. Very little chicken. Pretty much all onions. And so messy they put the to go container in a plastic bag, which created this wet, messy disaster. There is zero chance I would consider eating here again. read more

Was ice fishing over on north twin and decided to grab some food from here, and boy we were not disappointed. $62 seemed steep but we got so much food, enough to feed us 3 nights. Almost everything was delicious, especially the Mongolian beef. If the meat to veggie ratio was a little better it would've gotten 5 stars. Also the triple pineapple was a little disappointing just because it was lacking some flavor, maybe more pineapple would've changed that. Overall was very impressed! China garden will definitely be our regular spot when we come back up! read more

I find my way to Amery a dew times a year. One is with the Glitterati for crafting and scrapbooking. This year we made it to CG for take-out and were very impressed. I was treated to special attention for gluten free chicken in white sauce with lots of veggies and chicken. Very good and the staff was very helpful. Good knowledge of the gf procedures. I had enough for lunch the next day! Great value. The members of the Glitterati all enjoyed their dishes and had enough for lunch the next day too. read more

I eat here all the time for fast food It's terrific love the lunch prices. Dinner prices are still good. I've had several dish's from here and i can say that while their General Tso's is not the best I've had it is damn good! read more

We love the shrimp chow mein and the Szechuan pork. We order it every time and it's always delicious.

Great lunches and sides! The egg rolls cannot be beat! The chicken sticks are fantastic! Soups are good too! This is not like your average twin cities Chinese restaurant. For better or worse the dated dining room and the lack of a beverage center are the only drawbacks. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. read more

This is the second time we have carried out. Both times, we got lunch portions when we requested and paid for dinner portions. That and we only received one rice both times for 4 different entrees that were ordered. We tried both times to fix the situation and try to get a refund for the difference, but their lack of English did not help solve the matter. This is my favorite Chinese place to eat at besides the Mongolian in Stillwater the sesame seed chicken and any kind of lo mein is very good along with some of that appetizers and side such as the cream cheese wontons and eggrolls read more

I went there 2 years and it was terrible. I decided to give it a second chance tonight. I ordered the house triple sweet and sour which included Pork, Shrimp and chicken. The shrimp was overcooked to hard and crunchy. Chicken was dry and tuff like it was reheated in Microwave. Vegetables were not steamed or cook. 10.95 garbage. My friend ordered Empress Shrimp again that seemed old a reheated. She requested it be saucy and there wasn't even enough sauce to cover shrimp and vegetables.
