Delicious pulled pork mixed with Mac and cheese rolled in cribs and deep fried to a golden brown served on top of cheese sauce and green onion garnish. What a special treat perfect opening appetizer. My son and I both had the three meat plate with pulled pork, brisket and beef sausage. It was served with an outstanding tangy coleslaw, a pretty darn good piece of cornbread and I had the baked beans which were perfectly sweet although very slightly dry. No smoke flavor, no seasoning, nothing. Almost like it was boiled to tenderness. This is where this review went from 5 stars to 4. Brisket is meant to be heavily seasoned and put in the smoker. All in all Fork and Fire still puts out great food although be prepared to pay. Over $100 for lunch for 2 with tip. But with beef what it is today it's getting harder and harder to find good deals. I've visited many times and there are always fun things to look at, from the staff recommendations, to locally made jewelry, candles, and bookmarks, to the seasonal offerings from the cafe. They also host a variety of events. The space is clean and modern with lots of seating, both indoor and outdoor. The space is on the smaller side though, but they still have a solidly curated selection of books to browse. I know I will be back again and again! Thank you for bringing such an engaging and well-run book shop to our community--we need more of this in our tech-addicted world.
