Yuck. The bread is so awful but the meats are acceptable . The pictures of the food are way different from what you get.

A very friendly group during our visit. Breakfast is served during all open hours. Lunch items include salads and sandwiches among other things. Indoor counter or table seating. Outdoor seating available on the sidewalk in front. I went with blueberry pancakes and asked for real maple syrup which they have available. Very nice pancakes and plenty of syrup was provided. My SO went with a steak and cheese with all the fillings and a side of tots. The tots are super crispy and taste faintly of clam (fried clams are on the menu), just fyi. They offer coffees, teas, soft drinks and mimosas (I think I remember that on the menu). I had a fresh brewed, unsweetened ice tea w/lemon. Hit the spot on a hot day. We enjoyed ourselves very much at Joe's. It's a nice neighborhood spot for a casual breakfast or lunch.

Did I know what I was getting into when I stopped for lunch in Craryville?…read more No. Sometimes you're on a road trip and you need to stop to eat. Often, these meals are nothing special - just fuel for the trip. But sometimes you get lucky. We stopped because we were hungry and because the map said there was a place to eat just off the Taconic. Right off the exit we were greeted by an old-school stainless steel diner that looked well-maintained and inviting. At this point, my expectations for the stop had already been exceeded. Inside, we learned that this was an old Silk City Diner from 1958, and the decor reflected this history. We took a comfortable booth by a window. Service was friendly. One of the day's specials was fried scallops. Now, many people might think an old roadside diner that's 100 miles from the ocean might not be a good place to order seafood, but I had a feeling I was making a good choice. I didn't even ask the waitress how the scallops were - I just ordered. The scallops were perfectly cooked, enjoyable to eat, and exceeded my expectations. They came with fries, gravy, and broccoli, which were all fine (but nothing special). It wasn't all perfect. The coffee was weak, and it didn't seem like all the food met the level of the scallops. But for a random rest stop it was fantastic. Will I be planning a trip to Craryville just to go to the Martindale Chief Diner? Probably not. But would I stop in if I was traveling through this area again? Absolutely.

When it was time for me to leave with my order, she told me to,"Have a blessed day." The business opened many months ago in a building that was formerly a Taco Bell/ KFC. Reviews for Mash More on social media have been great including Yelp. The review that cracked me up was on Reddit where the reviewer asked readers to support the restaurant because "I need this place to survive." Well, now that I've tried it I need this place to survive, too. I LOVE mashed potatoes. It's my go to comfort food. The food at Mash More is really good and the pricing seems reasonable. Shontie told me that Mashy Favorite #4 is one of the most popular. It's the Golden Honey BBQ Chicken Mash Potato Bowl. So I had to try it. So good. They give you a lot of chicken. Plus, you get streamed broccoli. It's a perfectly balanced meal. At $9.99 plus tax you get a lot of value for the price. I could not finish. I will get two meals out of one order. Mash More is not a chain. It's a unique family-run restaurant. It has been described in articles as fast food. I beg to differ. The kitchen didn't start working on my order until I placed it. The meal took a few minutes to prepare so I looked around. The restaurant is neat and clean with modern furniture. There are fun, bold, whimsical murals painted around the exterior of the store depicting happy cartoon potatoes. This business needs to survive on Delaware Avenue which is a mix of commercial and residential. It's mere presence is a huge help to the community. It also needs to survive because it offers something different. Affordable comfort food. What a great idea.

Staff have been friendly and all orders have been ready in time for pick up. I ordered take out for a coworker and I and immediately upon arrival the murals on the outside of the building got me excited. We ordered two mashed potato based bowls and shared. The potatoes were creamy and well seasoned as a base. I got a chili bowl which all played so well together and she had crispy chicken and was so pleased. I went back again to try the pulled pork and found another home run. The fact that it's next to the spectrum theatre is going to make this my new dinner and a movie spot.
