Delicious! We have the brisket and a burger. Both were excellent. It's great to have something so close to home!

Wow, I never thought I would write a negative review for this establishment. It disheartens me so…read moremuch especially as a long-term customer, small store supporter, and tolerant of all faiths. That changed today when the female proprietor accused me of stealing. Several times she asked me if I needed something before following me to the back of the store to ask me again. Her reasoning was "I was returning to the same spot several times" -- it was twice (I couldn't decided which size ziplock bags I needed). Both my partner and I felt very uncomfortable and decided to put our items back and leave. The female proprietor followed outside to say we could still shop there. I responded she made us feel unwelcome and we left. About 20 minutes later, I returned to discuss the situation with the female proprietor. I had been shopping at the general store for 4 years- and honestly didn't want to stop shopping there. When I walked in, I asked the female proprietor if we could talk about the situation, her response: "I'm standing right here." I started by saying how long I've been shopping at the store and always enjoyed my experience. Today, it felt different and I felt very unwelcome. You know when someone already has their mind made up and nothing you can say changes it? That was this situation. The female proprietor said that she was just checking in and did nothing wrong. When I responded that it felt like she was insinuating I was stealing, her response was "I'm sorry you felt that way." Which everyone know is the screw you of apologies. The conversation continued to go round and round, until I finally said that it seemed like she didn't want to take ownership and that I didn't feel comfortable shopping there anymore. Her response? "That's fine, we have plenty of other customers. We don't need ones like you." Just to clarify - wasn't stealing nor would every. Full disclosure, this is where I (hopefully understandably) got very frustrated and said I was going to tell people of the experience. It was then that another female worker told me to get out, followed by the female proprietor saying the same thing. I left the building, and slammed the door - which I shouldn't have. I honestly have never been treated with such disrespect before. It was overwhelming. When I got to the car (visibly upset) my partner then went in to the store. While I was not there, the gist of the situation was he was greeted with the same disrespect and after more conversation, was told to "leave or we will call the sheriff." For two people who were just trying to patron a local store, this was a terrible situation. I understand that shoplifting is a problem there -they had signs everywhere. Which ironically minutes before this happened, I said to my partner "who would ever steal from a local store like this?" To be treated with such disrespect is so disappointing. After 4 years of shopping here, they have made it very clear - people like me (who was just trying to get a few items, and said she felt uncomfortable by their actions) were told never to return. Hopefully this does not happen to you.

I have, but it's not really a convenient stopping place on my journeys normally. However, on a recent trip I was in desperate need of a little pick me up coffee to get me all the way home, and B3 was right there, so I figured, what the hey. Now normally I love the idiosyncratic truck stop. This one would almost qualify, although there's no hiya hon diner attached, there is a "gift/trucking supply" store that has a whole bunch of hunting stuff, truck supplies, toys for your stereotypical alpha male hillbilly, and novelties ranging from the fake DEA hats to the oxymoronic "Meth Cooking License" (right there next to the Second Amendment permits and reproductions of Elvis' Driver's License.) But you know what? It's 2015. They're selling confederate flag crap here. "Yankee By Birth, Rebel By Choice" pins and hats with the stars and bars on it. To which I say: go to hell. Thousands of sons of the towns around this area died in 1861-65 fighting the Confederates. You may not find this review useful or cool, and that's OK by me, but for God's sake don't mark this review as "funny" because IT'S NOT FUNNY ANYMORE.

They have not taken advantage of this at all, and in fact have offered fewer necessities over time. At one time it was possible to buy modest quantities of eggs there, but more recently they have been unable to sell any eggs because, and I quote, they "can't figure out how to charge someone for eggs". The first time I was there I had the avocado toast, which was great. My friend had their breakfast burrito which he thought was soggy and fell apart but hey it happens. Food delivery was very slow the first time, but our server was nice and the drinks were flowing so it was fine. Our table all has 20+ years each in the service industry, we get it. Today once again the crunchy French toast was amazing. We got it for the table to share and everybody couldn't get enough. The service was just really weird. It was like she really didn't want us to be there. And she didn't want to be there. She wasn't really rude, but she was pretty indifferent and took a long time to come back to the table. A second round of drinks was obviously off putting to her. Then I needed a change for a 20 so I could just leave cash for the check and hadn't seen her for a while so I asked another server who just walked by and said I'm not your server without even making eye contact with me. When I got the change, she was a little bit rude with me about it. It was 1 o'clock, they were past the brunch rush. It was just an odd experience with the server. I get having a bad day, but you shouldn't make it so obvious that you wished that you didn't have to be there.

There are baked items everywhere along with gift shop inventory. A few seats line the shop for a quick bite and sip before heading back on the road. The second is a dine-in restaurant with a diverse menu and great service. The space is cozy and there are two spaces. The bar area and the dining room. Both areas have ample seating and invite you to stay and relax a bit. I opted for the chicken and waffles. A+ The breakfast burrito was good, but was not the typical flavor profile of what I've had previously. People next to us ordered the Hangover Hash and it looked plentiful and enough to feed two! Amazing overall with lightning fast service. The receipt has a QR code allowing you to pay with you phone. Very convenient. We ate here twice in four days and hope to visit again the next time we're in town.
