First time visiting and we'll be back again. Four meals, four rave reviews. From the appetizers (crab-cake and garlic parmesan wings) to the large entrees, everything was so good. I'll definitely come back for the chicken Parmesan and my husband loved the calamari dish. The lava cake was yummy but there wasn't any lava-just a hard, unmelted center. We just went to the Chatham Grill for an early dinner after attending the spring craft at the Basillica in Hudson. The food is outstanding and some of the best shrimp scampi I have ever had.. truly a hidden gem! read more

Generous portions, reasonable prices, somewhat steakhouse type atmosphere. I've had mostly decent meals here, and maybe a couple of less than great items. Family friendly, not pretentious, but there might be nicer options around Chatham. read more

Found this place on google while in the area. We were seated immediately, greeted almost immediately, & the entire experience was great. The food was stellar, much better than expected. Extremely reasonable prices, kid menu available, wonderful cocktail menu. Seriously 10/10 we will be back & we live almost 2 hours away :) read more

Not the best curb appeal but worth going in. Great value snd good food. The extensive menu can be a worry and we both ordered off the specials as we like too. From the outside, I almost didn't come in, but If i had not opened the door, i would have been missing out. The food was fresh & delicious. I actually took pics of the Cobb salad and the Beet salad, as well as the quesadilla, but they were lost somehow during the post. The beet salad was also to die for and the freshest salad ever. I got the citrus dressing, not the champagne balsamic, and it was SO good I asked for some more to go. Same w/ the Chipotle Ranch dressing on my friends Cobb, which was made w/ turkey, not chicken. My companion said it was really good and it had the actual flavor not just the color of Chipotle. OK, so now for the not so good stuff. They brought the beet salad alone, and it was a long time before the other two dishes came out. I mean enough time to finish before the other two entrees arrived. Also, the turkey on the Cobb salad was rolled cold cut meat vs chunked meat which was surprising, but the roll WAS 2 inches thick and there were two stacks. What a find! I was looking for a place near the MacHayden theater and read the reviews and decided to go. As the reviews said, the exterior of the place is nothing special but the food and service are excellent. The bread was warm with soft butter. 3 of us had the Pork Saltimbocca and another did the Pork Chop all delicious. We had 3 different deserts and all we perfect. The service was a cut above. The timing was perfect. They came over at just the right times for any requests. The staff really cared to put out the best product. We will definately be going back to this jem. read more

Great service! Let me start with that! We got seated right away and our server was very prompt in telling us the specials. We got the seasonal soup and a torta sandwich and salmon salad. The menu was reasonably priced and we loved all the food we ate. The bar and seating area has a rustic feel to it and was quite cozy. The salmon salad was my favorite, it's really fresh and fish was cooked just fine! Our food arrived in a decent time. I wouldn't say it was quick compared to typically how bars serve food so we waited a while. The place wasn't too crowded either so it was a little surprising but it's ok. Our server boxed our food and helped us with the check very nicely. What got us here was their menu which was sounded delicious. Even their dinner options were lovely. Please go try! read more

This place was a pleasant surprise! The interior is pretty worn out and dated -- it looks like someone tried to do it up as a "nice" restaurant at some point in the late nineties and hasn't really bothered to update it since, and the bathroom was particularly depressing-looking -- but the food is really way above par for a kind of divey local spot. The gazpacho was flavorful and full of nice touches like grilled corn, and my veggie burger was more full of big pieces of actual vegetables than any other veggie burger I've tried, though it definitely also was slightly oily. The fries it came with were good and crispy. My mom had the nachos, which were also surprisingly flavorful and loaded with plenty of fresh ingredients (they didn't scrimp on the guacamole!). The service was also excellent, and the prices very reasonable. I do wish they'd update their interior, but I'd happily eat here again. read more

Walked in and almost left because of the horrible smell. Based on the reviews we mistakenly stayed and ordered cocktails. They were both awful. Then we noticed the filth behind the bar. Two of us had dinner recently. The food was absolutely delicious - better than any I have had in Chatham. We had the fish and chips and ravioli with lobster sauce that was truly outstanding. Was first time here and will definitely go back. Waitstaff were warm and friendly. One less than outstanding observation: the cocktails were really really skimpy. That was a downside. I had lunch there with a buddy. The inside of the place is much cooler than the outside lets on. Cool little bar area and cozy dining. Service was quick and friendly. I had a great little chicken burrito and my buddy had the grass fed burger. Both were very good, fresh, and the pricing is fair. Good little place for for beers and lunch. Visited the Chatham grill for lunch today on our way through town. We had two bacon bleu cheese burgers and two orders of kids chicken tenders. The burgers were decent burgers. They were thick, juicy and properly cooked. However, the bacon was undercooked and they used purple onion for sautéed onions. Should use yellow onion for sautéed onion. Kids had chicken tenders. Pretty standard but kept in the deep fryer a bit too long. What really detracted from this visit however is pickles. They served the burger with one small pickle. These aren't special, house made pickles. They are standard, come in a five gallon bucket pickles. I asked for a couple extra for my burger. The waitress brought out five standard pickle chips in a small soufflé cup. I was charged$1.00 for these extra pickles. I was not told there would be an additional charge for this. I think it's ridiculous to upcharge for a couple of pickles. How petty. It ruined my experience at the Chatham Grill. read more

My wife and I met old friends there for dinner recently. It was a pleasant surprise as the food was excellent ... although the service was a little inattentive. We shared a bowl of mussels al diablo and the mussels were fresh and the sauce perfectly spicy. For my entree I chose the locally farmed pork chop and garlic mashed potatoes. The center of the chop was delicious and succulent although a lot of the edge of the chop was fatty and tough and, therefore, inedible. My wife ate the shrimp scampi with linguini which she claimed was one of the best she'd had in quite a while! Our friends ate their dinners with gusto too so I'd give the Grill high marks for the quality and presentation of their dishes. The bill was reasonable so I think we'll be back again ... perhaps catching a movie at the Crandall Theatre first. A real date night! read more

A sleepy little place in down town Chatham. Not fancy but high quality dining. Traditional menu with reasonable prices. Small and appears to attract locals as it was full on a Tuesday night. I had the Chicken Brushetta at about $15.00 and it was a great choice. Chicken with salad and was great. My companion ordered a pasta dish from special list that she couldn't finish and the attentive waiter gave her takeout package. Menu had a little bit of everything - you could go light and less expensive, or choose a full entree - so it'd be great for families or groups with mixed food preferences.
