Found this place on google while in the area. We were seated immediately, greeted almost immediately, & the entire experience was great. The food was stellar, much better than expected. Extremely reasonable prices, kid menu available, wonderful cocktail menu. Seriously 10/10 we will be back & we live almost 2 hours away :)

Not the best curb appeal but worth going in. Great value snd good food. The extensive menu can be a worry and we both ordered off the specials as we like too. He had the butternut squash soup and I for the fried artichokes. Entrees we're trout and mushroom risotto. All tasted fresh and delicious. Thanks.

Great service! Let me start with that! We got seated right away and our server was very prompt in telling us the specials. We got the seasonal soup and a torta sandwich and salmon salad. The menu was reasonably priced and we loved all the food we ate. The bar and seating area has a rustic feel to it and was quite cozy. The salmon salad was my favorite, it's really fresh and fish was cooked just fine! Our food arrived in a decent time. I wouldn't say it was quick compared to typically how bars serve food so we waited a while. The place wasn't too crowded either so it was a little surprising but it's ok. Our server boxed our food and helped us with the check very nicely. What got us here was their menu which was sounded delicious. Even their dinner options were lovely. Please go try!

This place was a pleasant surprise! The interior is pretty worn out and dated -- it looks like someone tried to do it up as a "nice" restaurant at some point in the late nineties and hasn't really bothered to update it since, and the bathroom was particularly depressing-looking -- but the food is really way above par for a kind of divey local spot. The gazpacho was flavorful and full of nice touches like grilled corn, and my veggie burger was more full of big pieces of actual vegetables than any other veggie burger I've tried, though it definitely also was slightly oily. The fries it came with were good and crispy. My mom had the nachos, which were also surprisingly flavorful and loaded with plenty of fresh ingredients (they didn't scrimp on the guacamole!). The service was also excellent, and the prices very reasonable. I do wish they'd update their interior, but I'd happily eat here again.

Rather bland menu. Nice cosy environment and offers some vegetarian options. There are few local options and this is one of them. Homemade tortilla chips was nice. Full bar available. Chatham grill offers take out. Warm and packaged nicely. Chatham Grill restaurant in Chatham, NY 12037

Fresh food, no pretension, service with a smile. Slow but consistent. Right off the Taconic.

But it was also dead quiet at 4pm on a Saturday, which was ok by me. I had a tuna dish for dinner (see photos) that was pretty tasty. I asked the bartender for a food recommendation and that's what he suggested. He was right. It was good and I'm glad I got something tasty and healthy. Would for sure go back.

Beautiful architecture, dating back hundreds of years. We were impressed by the People's Pub. Pool and darts on the second floor, and bar and dining area on the first. We spent a good amount of time admiring the wood work around the bar and restaurant, as well as the tin ceilings. We ordered more food that we probably should have, but it all sounded so good, that with the winter menu coming to a close, we knew we would likely not have a chance to order it again. We chose to sit at the bar, and enjoyed a whiskey and pisco sours, made with actual eggs. The open kitchen is a nice touch, and it was nice to see the well staffed restaurant handle the Friday night dinner crowd. Portions for most dishes were a generous size, and we enjoyed the variety of choices. We can't wait to come back to try the spring menu, or to come on one of the special nights, such as the live Irish music.

The layout of the place has the bar area near the main entrance with dining rooms to the left and right including the sun room dining room to the left and regular dining room to the right. The bar has seating and there are a couple high top tables in the front window. The food menu offers Mexican cuisine at higher moderate pricing including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas, salads, house favorites, and desserts. The bar offers 6 beers on tap (4 from Chatham Brewing), bottle beers, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. I stopped by Dos Amigos for dinner recently and sat up at the bar. The bartender arrived with menus and took my drink order. I was also given a glass of water and a complementary first basket of fried tortilla chips and salsa, which were crunchy and pretty good. For dinner, the Chicken Fajitas ($22 plus tax) arrived a very hot sizzling skillet of tender grilled chicken pieces, red peppers, green peppers, onions & seasonings, served with a bowl of Mexican rice, black beans, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole and 3 warm soft flour tortillas. The portion of food was generous and I barely finished everything. I passed on the offer for dessert and received the check which had two totals with tax and before tip ,$23.76 (card payment) and $22.81 (cash payment), 4 percent cash discount. Overall, the chicken fajitas were pretty good and freshly made. The service here was adequate as I was sitting up at the bar and my ice water was always full and the kitchen runner cleared dishes promptly after finishing. There was some upbeat Mexican music over the speakers and some of the staff were singing along in Espanol.
