This is not 5 star Italian dining but it is five star casual dining . We arrived between lunch and dinner so it was quite slow . We chose a good sized table by the front window . I ordered bbq chicken panini and French onion soup . Both were very good , I did order a little side of bbq sauce for dipping . Hubby ordered the lasagna and it came with 4 pieces of garlic crostini like bread . The lasagna was also very good . read more

I think this is one of the best upstate NY eateries for pizza! The key is the thin and crispy crust. But don't just try pizza. They have a very nice menu, including some delicious salads, most notably the Greek and Wedge salads. And a medley of pasta dishes that we hope to try next time! They don't change the oil even twice a week as a cook told me. CALAMARI: once was good, twice BAD. Use frozen & unbelievably chewy that this time I choked IN the restaurant. Fries were Cold AND mushy. This is the 3rd chance. Considering it's owned by Columbia County Health Department Robert Lagonia... DISGUSTING ALSO PIZZA: we literally took out a measure tape after AGAIN giving them a try by ordering an extra large. it wasn't fully burnt, but was the same size just with extra cuts in the pizza. read more

I ordered 4 pizzas for a small celebration for the workers who had worded during the pandemic and kept our food pantry open. The celebration was a few days later and fewer people were able to attend, so I asked to cancel one of the pizzas, at 11:30 in the morning, the event was 6:30PM. I was told they couldn't cancel a pizza I would have to pay for it. It seemed unreasonable, I spoke with the manager, that was their policy. We had a vegetable pizza, pepperoni and 2 plain. The vegetable pizza was inedible, vegetables , unrecognizable. Plain and pepperoni , were barely edible. Needless to say, then management was poor, as was the product. read more

if i could give this a zero rating i would. i've never been more disappointed. i spent $31 on 2 things...pizza and wings (with extra ranch). first my pizza was completely burnt, then my pizza had literally no sauce on it (just a cheese pizza). i only got one ranch which is whatever i didn't care much BUT my ranch was half ranch on the top and blue cheese on the bottom. looked like they messed up and were to lazy to fix there mistake. my wings were the only good thing about it all. highly don't recommend this place. i gave them 3 chances and was disappointed every time. owner needs to hire new people who know how to cook a simple pizza and pour ranch. read more

Recently had catering for an event done by Lagonias and everything was amazing. The chicken georgio is the best pasta dish I have ever had and is a must have. I couldn't recommend Lagonias Bistro enough. I will absolutely be using them for any future catering. read more

While traveling through the Hudson valley area we spotted Lagonia's Bistro in a beautiful old building in downtown Chatham. We were struck by the beautiful mahogany front door. We were greeted by our hostess who sat us by the timber frame bar. The dinning room has a rustic/industrial feel with corrugated metal walls and exposed wood! Just the look and feel we love. Our group started with drinks from their cocktail menu, which were delicious! Then came the appetizers- Thai chili wings, fried calamari and their outrageous clams in red sauce. Everything was first rate. Their entrees were equally delicious. The chicken Giorgio, homemade lasagne (reminded me of my mother-in laws) and their pizzas, sausage and broccoli rabe and margarita pie were excellent. At the end of our dinner the owner, Rob Lagonia, came over to our table to see how we enjoyed our meal. He had a nice chat with us about the newly renovated space and history of the area.. We will definitely stop by Lagonia's Bistro next time we are in the area! read more
