The manager Kristain is absolutely out of control. She screams at customers and her workers knowing there will be no repercussions for her actions. The owner Wayland will admit this isn't the first time it has happened but will do nothing to fix the problem. We have been harassed ever since but I'm pregnant and craved subs so I'd ignore it and just get my food. Tanya and the manager decided to act like high school girls and torment us last week three days later we went in and a district manager was there so we let her know what was going on. Then about 3-4 days later went in again and the workers told us Kristain said wayland said not to serve us because we reported the harassment to a district manager. What a joke. They had expired food for sale... other than that it was ok just an average subway but check the expiration dates on the chips if you are going to buy them. on Dec 1st there were many bags of chips that expired on Oct 25th so they may have been there for over a month? kinda scary because not everything has a date on it that you can check... idk tho lol read more

Went a couple of years ago and was not impressed but today we decided to give it another try and glad we did! I had a hard time trying to order on the website so the manager told me he would help with the order. The place was clean and the sandwiches were good , filling and unlike close competition ,reasonably priced! we will return! read more

It's a shame, we like Subways when we are traveling. But the management at this Subway is the worse. Doesn't listen to customers and yells at them. Makes you sorry you walked in the door. This is by far the best subway I've ever been too. Was boarding all day with the boys and needed a sandwich. This guy with some awesome hair made my sandwich. I wish my girlfriend could make sandwiches as good as him. Plus, they have a cool wood bear out front. read more

Paid for two sandwiches and they were both messed up asked for extra mayonnaise on one and it didn't even have any mayonnaise on it, and the second one I paid an extra $1.50 for avocado spread and didn't get it. Customer service also sucks!! read more

Never felt it necessary to leave a subway Yelp review, but this was the slowest experience I've had at a Subway chain. The two workers, one being the manager, were acting really suspicious the entire time. The manager was reclining on a chair on his phone and decided it would be nice to actually do his job for us. I visited the Bennington location today for lunch on my way to my sister's home in NY all the way from NH. Both my mother and I purchased subs, drinks, and cookies to eat when we reached our destination. We stopped at another store for a few minutes at which time I began to need the restroom. I must preface this by saying I have the medical condition Irritible Bowel Syndrome or IBS, which means when I'm having an attack I need a bathroom IMMEDIATELY. The store we were in didn't have a bathroom, so we went across the street to the drugstore. They didn't have a bathroom. At this point things were getting desperate. I was not sure I would make it anywhere further, so we went back to Subway where I knew there was a bethroom. The employee working the register GLARED at me as I practically ran to the bathroom. When I came out, she stopped me. In a very rude tone, she informed me that the bathroom was for customers only. I understood, so I reminded her that I had bought a sub less than 30 minutes prior. You're not a customer now, she informed me snottily. Stunned, I simply left. I was shocked by how rudely she had acted. I would happily have shown her my receipt if she hadn't recognized me. Or, if she had mentioned it to me in a polite way, I would have apologized and purchased another drink. I was just so surprised at being treated this way when I have a medical condition I can not control and I had been there less than 30 minutes prior. I have never been treated so rudely in any other Subway. I will never return to this location and will warn all my friends in the area to stay away. read more

Subway is the best of the fast food locations in Bennington. It's relatively clean and usually fast. But like any fast food, it comes with the usual cheap labor and quality. Minimum wages= minimum effort. But that's what drives our fast food industry. read more

Not all Subways are created equal, they are a reflection of the franchise owner and this owner is not interested in customer satisfaction at all. You can get your sandwich but you won't get anything more. Forget an extra napkin, forget having the two halves of your sandwich wrapped seperately. I even offered to pay extra for the piece of paper necessary and was told I'd be charged for 2 six inch subs if they were wrapped in two. If the owner makes your sandwich prepare to be rushed through it, doesn't look like the pictures that's for sure. The place is filthy too. Manager Nick and employees standing around chatting. When asked why they weren't assisting the one employee that was trying to wait on everyone alone, Nick became rude and combative. He made rude comments in front of my young daughter and then tried to blame us for the bad service when called on it. Instead of an apology we got rude, combative and aggressive behavior from the manager. We used to frequent this store regularly but after this treatment and service we will never return to this store and will be reporting him to subway corporate and any other management that Nick has to answer to. read more

I visited Subway in Bennington, VT today. I asked for a large sub. I also asked if they would heat it up and wrap it individually. To my surprise, I was told I was going to be charged for two small subs because I asked Phil, the hourly employee to wrap them up individually. I presently have my own business and know the cost of paper. My educated guess is an extra 7 cents for the paper would cover the cost. Phil explained to me that Subway Corporate has forced them to charge extra when asked to wrap it up individually. NOW, I drive all over the Northeast, I stop at several Subways and have never been told I was going to be charged two 6 inch subs instead of the 12 inch price IF I had it wrapped up separate. I ask for it to be wrapped up separately only because its easier to eat and drive (I know, I really should not be driving while eating, but if you drove the amount of hours that I do, you would do the same....) PLEASE NOTE: both halves of the sub were identical, I did not ask to have anything added. I spoke to AL, the owner, he explained it was corporate policy. Is this really true? Al was very nice and he eventually charged me for a regular price sub. BUT now, my sub was cold.....uhg! I decided to call corporate while at the store. To my amazement, I dialed the number and it rang and rang and rang and rang and then it disconnected me. WOW....! I think SUBWAY has a huge customer service problem. And, I wonder if it is corporate wide. SHAME on SUBWAY! read more

I am a long time customer who is fed up with some things. They are constantly closing well before hours. I work late and eat late and love being able to go in at 930 to get a sandwich. However, lately when I get there at 930 or 10, they are closed. Everywhere that I see hours listed, it says either 11 or midnight. If hours are changing, they need to let people know in advance. Also, the service has been ridiculously slow lately. I was in line for nearly 20 minutes the other day. When I did get there, it took nearly 5 minutes to get my two subs made. The only plus was that the sandwich makers were very polite. I do not normally complain, but the inconsistency of the hours based on what is posted really bums me out when I'm working late and hungry. So yesterday I was at Subway buying a bag of chips, when I noticed an assistant manager being extremely cruel to a staff member because the staff member said that she would not serve stale hard bread. He threatened to get her fired if she did not do as he said.he also told her he wrote her up because he could and he did not like her. This already bothered me enough, but to top it off As I was leaving I noticed that the staff member had left work and was walking down the street and the assistant manager was following her screaming at her that if she complain to HR or the manager or the owner that he would do everything in his power to make sure that she did not have a job. I cannot eat patronize a place where I know that the management treats their staff in this way. For one it is illegal for anyone to threaten someone's job for making a complaint to HR. this assistant manager was also threatening violence against her, and she looked terrified. I will not be going back and I've already started the process of getting a hold of higher management, and the owner about this and I will not be going back. read more
