two plates of mexican food on a table

Decent food, pasta was dense and could be better. Service was nice, they were pretty accommodating. Had to about 45 minutes for dinner for a party of 5 which was fine. Ambiance was fine, nothing out of the ordinary.

I see why this chilis has awful ratings. Ordered to go and they ignored order note (sauces on side -- now my food is soggy ofc).

Chili's definitely needs a reboot. The interior needs a facelift, the workers need better training, the food is disgustingly bad.

Over cooked salmon and under cooked broccoli. I don't know why this place has become so bad. It used to be at least edible

Flavor on the food was just lacking. Even the Vermont cheddar cheese was bland and only a whisper of sharpness. The home made chips good but lacked anything special. The true problem of this place is the ownership/management. We went there little after it opened. To see a table with a 5 gallon bucket of utensils and servers doing their side work on a table you have to walk past to get to anywhere in the seating area. Then we come to the management/owner. My biggest pet peeve is doing the books or daily paperwork in the guest area. You have an office or a place away from your guests. Not in full view and with in ear shot of your guests. And not in a place where sound carries. The BIGGEST complaint is the language. You are the leader of your staff. You set an example for the behavior and attitude of your staff. Dropping F-BOMBS and other vulgar language is not at anytime acceptable. Clearly the servers knew it and didn't thankfully follow your lead. This is NOT your buddies garage or basement. You are having people come in and hearing your language and seeing and clearly hearing your behavior I can not recommend going here. If it was based on food maybe. But clearly the ownership and leadership will keep me away from here. Such potential wasted by such poor work ethics.

We called in a lunch order to pick up and the girl on the phone was rude, snarky and actually laughed at us when we ordered an item that is no longer on the menu. After I placed the order I thanked her and she rudely responded "excuse me!! Let's start with your name! Our policy has changed and you need to pay now!" Ok...so I gave her my card over the phone. When we got there to pick it up my friend went in to get it and the same woman said "you need to sign this slip" to which my friend said, it's not my card that was used. She responded "I don't care whose card it is you need to sign this!" My friend bit her tongue because there were customers enjoying their meals and she didn't want to make a scene by calling her out of her horrendous customer service. I have worked in hospitality my entire life and the rudeness and lack of training is appalling. To top it off she was apparently training a new employee. Hopefully the girl in the bandana knows enough to greet guests with kindness instead of learning from her coworker. Especially working in a place like Pangaea Café, that is known for having a relaxing atmosphere with warmth and kindness. With that said, the food was wonderful as always. I hope ownership retrains this young woman (my slip says her name is Maeve) before she pushes regular customers away. 5/5 stars on a regular day. 1/5 stars today.

Not pictured is the cinnamon roll we split because it was too good to wait for a photo. The Texas burrito and chili got rave reviews from my dining partner, and my omelette was solid, though interestingly assembled. The fillings were layered rather than chopped and mixed throughout. Once I cut it all together, the flavor came through nicely, and the home fries were great. We'll definitely be back, and I'm already eyeing a few other dishes to try next time.
