I took it for granted living back in CA but as I sat there with our group of 16 - you gotta thank these chain restaurants.   Huge shout out to the staff that helped us out on Sunday - we were not an easy group (mostly for size, I'd like to say weren't difficult in customer service way)   I ordered (me and for the table): Chips and dips (if you have a free account, you get this for free) I like how salty and thin chips are - salsa has teeny spice Triple dipper (we got the mozz sticks, the Nashville crispers, buffalo wings) I like the mozz sticks, definitely heavy even for half of the cheese. Crispers were a little stringy and buffalo wings were also a little tough Quesadilla (chicken and bacon) Pretty huge portion, 8 slices, good to share with someone, pretty heavy to eat though Overall, pretty good portion for price point but the food itself is just...beige and fried. It's Chili's. Do we expect anything more or less? I've only order takeaway from them a few times, and bc it's near the hotel. They seem busy all the time. Feel like there aren't many option of places to grab dinner around here so Chili's might be a good solid spot. I think I've only eaten Chili's once in the city, and wasn't great. Very diner style food. You'll have your standards burgers, wings, but added an Americanize version of Mexican influence food like quesadillas and taco bowls (which I am absolutely sure Chipotle does it better). So... tried their boneless buffalo bites (horrible, tough to chew on), bacon cheeseburger (decent, as expected), and they gave me free bag of chips & salsa (greasy chips - didn't eat it). I think I've the sliders last time and it was super dry. Had a Philly cheesesteak during one of my other visit and it does not travel well - (so eat in for this one). Bottom line, if you can't go through Chipotle's drive through, or any drive through... then this is your safe bet. read more

This is a great place to eat, very reasonable prices, good/fast service. Great drinks...try the Hennessy Margaritas! Dam! So tasty. But wait there's more, they have two great servers...Olivia and Summer. Very nice women and there're not bad to look at either. What happened to Chili's . They used to be a decent place to eat. I ordered the ribs, and they were literally inedible. Dry and leathery. Even the bbq sauce couldn't save them . And to add insult to injury, the fries that came with them were lukewarm at best. Likely sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be used. That just lazy. What a disappointment. We don't expect perfection coming here, but our visit today was underwhelming at best. Everything came out cold after a 30 min wait when the restaurant was well under less than half capacity full. $19 burger was over cooked and as mentioned, lukewarm. Took about 10 minutes to get a second round of drinks and they were incorrect to boot. Bartender actually contemplated giving us a used to go container. 4 different people were taking orders/running food for our table. Definitely a lack of both communication and organization. $50 for a few non alcoholic drinks, an app, and a burger. Only commenting on fajitas. The company should really try to re do these. They are tasty - but just executed poorly. Three fajita rolls. Need 4-5. The toppings plate has 2 tsp of cheese and tomatoes. Everything from the service to speed of which the food came out was excellent. When we got there it was on a Saturday with a full house of baseball players from around the area. Never a big fan of this place, took the grandkids there over xmas break. Food was so so, my mini burgers were terrible. Onion crisp appetizer weren't fully cooked. There were several items that we ate that were very good. I just never seem to get a complete good meal there, some things great, other things horrible. We are regular customers coming once a week even when covid was still widespread and was happy to have a place that was good and reasonably priced. Today was one of our worst experiences.. ever since they changed policies where they have runners, service has gotten worse! We ordered the 3/ $10.99 and after waiting which seemed like 10 minutes , our meals showed up with one runner then our appetizers were right behind. Soup was cold and waitress no where to be found! A manager came by and gave me to go boxes which was nice. The waitress finally gave me the bill which said we owed $37 after a $100 gift certificate!!! from bad to worse... sorry I think my Chili days have come to an end. read more

Great service but a disappointing lunch at this Chili's today. The shrimp tacos were a drippy mess, with undercooked shrimp and coleslaw that should have been drained. I ended up deconstructing them and making improvised nachos on chips. Sad. read more

WEIRD AND DIRTY! There aren't many restaurants in Bennington and Chilis has been consistent. You know what you get. Until now. They recently had a facelift, fixed up the outside but oh inside! Awful!! Bright lights! Diner atmosphere. FILTHY! Hard to describe how odd this place is now. I wonder if it's new owners? The staff were talking to each other across the restaurant, loudly complaining about having to set up for a large party. We were trying to eat dinner! I ordered the salmon but when it arrived it was very obviously bad. An overwhelming foul smell of rotten fish emanated from the plate. The server immediately offered me a replacement meal but how does this happen? How did it get by the cook? It has to make me wonder, if the fish is bad, the floors and bathrooms filthy, what are the standards of cleanliness in the kitchen? Bennington, VT location. I love going there once in a while. It's predictable, but in all the good ways. You can always count on it to be clean, the food hot, yummy, and plentiful, and the service friendly. The bar has plenty of seating and several huge TV screens featuring sports channels. It's adequately semi-screened pff from the main dining room. I'm pretty sure they don't take reservations but they're always packed so if you're coming with more than, say, six people, call ahead. It's kinder to the waitstaff. I've never been disappointed by the food and especially like the versatility of the menu, in that it has a huge selection and (my favorite) combo plates. Vegetarians should go online and check out the menu items prior to going. The only issue I've ever experienced there was with the waitstaff and certainly not all of them. No huge problems but little things such as checking on them around 10 minutes after serving their meal. I've had components of my meal accidentally omitted, empty or missing condiments, or -hey it happens- missing silverware. Food grows cold when waiting for these things, all the while trying to flag down your waitperson until finally having to ask a different waitperson for help at least for them to tell your waitperson you need them. I'm also a firm believer in acknowledging people not long after they are seated with a promise you'll return or at least a smile. Again, not all waitstaff performs this way, a majority are experienced and skilled. I definitely recommend you visit. read more

The server was downright rude and gross hitting on my ex fiance a few years back and yet he still works there, walked in with my now wife and again, awful just awful, we left without even ordering food. I have hated Chili's for years because the food was crap. We were in Bennington and the people I was with wanted to go there. Well, now I love Chili's at least this one. Our waiter was there for whatever we wanted. Me and my wife got the 3 for $10. The chicken tenders were excellent. The corn on the cob and the salad was great also. Don't eat the soup! It comes out of a bag. Icky pants. The food was pretty standard for a Chili's. My fajita plate was madness. A plate for the rice, a plate for assembling tortillas, a container for the tortillas, a plate with the toppings. I practically had to move to the next table so my family could have some elbow room. Get the Presidente Margarita, in the shaker, light salt, no top shelf, no regrets. Our server was nice enough but I kept having to ask her for things, she never checked up on us. Typically Chili's rates about 3.5 from me, but this was a much better store than most I have visited. The restaurant was busy, but I was seated quickly. The drinks are great! The options for kids are good too. If you're a vegetarian there won't be much for you there, but you'll love the quesadilla explosion salad.
