I was there this morning and a guy was working on some supplies in the storage area, wearing disposable gloves that they normally wear to make subs. He then started making my food with the same gloves without changing them or washing his hands. Based on my experiences in other locations, he was supposed to have a new pair of gloves even in between each customers' food, and to wash his hands before returning to food handling from other tasks. I was going to let it go, but customers deserve better food safety measures, especially these days. They also deserve much lower rating based on what I experienced, but I decided to give them three stars because didn't want to hurt their business when every business is having a hard time. read more

Every time I come to this subway it's always a hassle, and never fresh. Today is the perfect example of why I won't come back, there are 3 other subways in Beaumont. I have no idea how this one is still open, or why I even come back here. Tonight I waited in line for 30 mins, while they had two customers ahead of me. There was absolutely no organization, no manger on duty either. I got a Black Forest ham 6 inch, and a side of chicken for my two year old. She had everything ready and said I would be charged for a 6 inch sandwich for the chicken on the side. That's $5.99 for chicken only! No bread, no veggies nothing else...just chicken. First of all I order a side of chicken with any kind of sandwich I've ordered before bc my daughter won't eat a sandwich. I've always paid for Double meat on my sandwich. Tonight I don't understand why she argued with me that I would be charged for a full sandwich when I didn't order a chicken sandwich, I only got the meat. Then the register girl figured she would be nice and just charge me the way she wanted. Well the other worker didn't agree and scolded the poor girl. Yes I do recommend this subway. Seems like this subway gets a lot of online orders. They only had one older lady working when I went in and she was taking phone orders and working the line for the people coming in. I know this is extremely inefficient but taking into consideration of inflation, businesses do not want to accommodate paying their employees what they deserve or have more than one person working at a time. I think there should be the minimum of at least 3 people working in a subway at a time: one for phone/ online orders, one on the line, and one sweeping and cleaning. I give all the credit to this lady because she was extremely frazzled but did everything to keep everyone happy since she was working by herself. After she was done with our 3 orders, she cleaned the floors and bathroom. This subway is probably one of the cleanest I've been in. Btw, this was at 5:30pm on a Tuesday night. We need to stop giving horrible reviews and really understand what these workers are going through. Kudos to this subway. read more

One of the employees that was on the counter preparing the sandwiches was not wearing a mask nor gloves. I asked another employee if it was mandatory to use them and she said YES but that some people just dont care so I asked her to prepare my sandwich and she told the other employee to stay in the back while my meal was being done. Haven't been to a Subway in awhile and I was not to impressed with this one as what my grandson and I ordered they put very little meat on the sandwiches and service is so so. Went to subway and got a steak and cheese combo. I wish I had great things to say about the sandwich but I don't, sorry. The bread seemed like it was the bread from yesterday. It was not fresh but a little hard and the bread cracks and crumbles. I noticed the lettuce a little discolored not true green. The only thing I can say that was fresh was my potato chips. Will not come to this subway again. Plus the aptmoshere for some reason seemed run down. The worker was rude, doesn't know how to speak to customers and didn't seem to wanna work. I came here because the place we were going to wasn't serving lunch. Subway is subway to me. I eat it a few times a month and it's way healthier than grabbing some fast food. This location is tiny. Really cramped if there are many people in line. There was 2 maybe 3 tables? We weren't able to dine in because the only table that served 4 was taken. Not a big deal. Went to this location for the first time today. There were 3 ladies working and they were all extremely nice and helpful. I think the lady that directly helped me was Janice. This makes 4 strikes for the Subway @ Oak Valley Pkwy. It had been nearly 2 years since I last walked into this Subway. They lost my business over this 2 year+ period when I walked in (the ONLY customer) and was asked to wait while the "manager" went back into her office to do ??? (who knows what), leaving me standing there waiting to order for several minutes while the only person actually working finished cleaning and mopping the floors! I didn't feel like waiting, so I left. That was 2 years ago... I thought I would give this store another try today. That was a mistake! Still slow service, and this time the person making the sandwiches was wearing his mask on his chin! All the customers were wearing their masks - but apparently this guy thought wearing a mask was too difficult. This store has ZERO training and/or management... I didn't wait to order, I just left - again. I walked a few doors down and went to 2KRZY Chicken! Good food - and a staff that cares about their customers. They were all wearing masks. Maybe in another couple of years I will try the Oak Valley Pkwy Subway again. (Probably not.) I used to eat at Subway at least 3-4 times a month. Subway to me is always just ok. The bread used to taste different, which I found out was because that Yoga mat material was used in it, but now the bread doesn't taste as good. Subway used to be my go to place, but now not so much. I am glad they got rid of the bad material in the bread, but they should create better bread recipes. read more

I came in 2 order 4 footlong sandwiches , I tried calling several times before to maybe give them heads up I needed 4 sandwiches and no answer to my calls , I went in and said I'm going to need 4 sandwiches , right away trish put a face like she didn't want to hear that , I started my order and she just seem miserable to be there taking my order , I was reading the order from my cell phone as they were orders my high school kids had requested . I ordered a BBQ chicken and she just put chicken n cheese but didn't see the BBQ , I was trying to tell her what else I needed but she just said wait until I get to that part , she ended up calling Someone else to finish my order which is very rude , I did tell her I tried calling she said no you didn't ! Maybe she should have said we didn't hear it or not just make it look like I was lying , the other lady finished my order , I did tell her if you are having a bad day you shouldn't show up to work , it's my lunch time I want to enjoy it , I believe we do expect a happy person to take our order and not someone that makes us feel uncomfortable we are placing a big order .
