Others were driving up to the takeout pickup spot under the pavilion. Pit master's were tending to the mahogany hued roasting chickens and barbecue ribs over smoky coals. Others were assembling takeout containers with a variety of side dishes. Krolick's has a very robust catering business and can handle many hundreds of dinners for an event. I have in the past hired Stan and his crew to cater our company events. We always had wildly positive feedback from our appreciative employees.

Located on Route 16 in Yorkshire near the 4 corners of Route 39 and Route 16 across from Perry Vets, near Save a Lot, it has a spacious parking lot, picnic tables in both shade and in sun and port-o-potties. The lot is dirt so be prepared for dust from entering and exiting cars during dry weather. When it rains there is a canopy attached to the order/pickup trailer to stay dry while you wait on your orders. In all, a decent, expedient, reasonably priced dinner solution when you do not have time to cook. They also cater parties where you can do pick-up or they come on site. In 2012, they catered a large farm picnic for us on site for 200 people and they did a great job. We have used them for small gatherings since, and have never been disappointed.

The food was cooked to order, but there was an odd taste to my dipped fried mushrooms, a flavor I couldn't identify. Examining closer, it was horseradish dipping sauce. OK. Not bad, but not expected. I loved my shrimp basket, and the huge side salad, which was included in the price. This is a very casual restaurant; the waitresses are in shorts, and most have at least one tattoo.

Our server -- who might have been the owner -- came over to take our order with what looked like a brand-new order pad he wasn't quite sure how to use. It was actually a bit amusing. We started with the garlic parmesan chicken wings, which were delicious, and the coconut shrimp, which was also very good. For the main course, I had the crusted haddock, which unfortunately came out cold, along with a cold baked potato. My wife ordered the fish fry and said it was just ok. The restaurant also has a soup and salad bar, though it looked rather sloppily arranged and understocked. Overall, the experience wasn't terrible -- there were some bright spots -- but between the atmosphere, presentation, and inconsistency in food quality, we're not sure if we'd return.

A mustardy/tangy potato salad accompanied my dish. Hubby got a great burger tho the fries were really sub par. Still --- a very tasty lunch, and we'll definitely be back!
