I've stopped at this Subway many many times on my way to Arnold since it's a healthier option than the McDonald's nearby. Unfortunately, there's one consistent issue. The lettuce is always brown, wilted, and clearly not fresh--I've never seen it look green or crisp. It's pretty off-putting and takes away from the whole sandwich. They really need to rotate their produce more often and throw it out when it goes bad. read more

Can I leave no stars?? Worst Subway ever. I ordered a foot long club sandwich via the web. My husband brought it home and I was shocked at the quality. There was only 1 piece each of the beef, turkey and ham. I tried calling the store and a woman answered and in a harsh tone, I complained. She told me I was rude and hung up on me. I tried calling crack at approximately 5:45 and tried 3 more times to no answer. Bottom line, I got a nice 12 inch piece of bread. I will be there tomorrow to speak with the manager. This is not a customer service related issue. The workers had a good attitude and everything. But, there's was FAR too much confusion with the "how to's" of baking and putting the sandwiches together. 3/3 of the sandwiches I ordered were extremely off. It seemed that both workers were brand new...which is ok. But leaving them alone was certainly a managerial mistake more than anything. I have fond memories of this Subway in Angels Camp. I would go there once or twice a week for lunch when I was in high school. We were so fortunate to have an open campus. I loved leaving campus at lunch time and grabbing a bite to eat with my friends. The restaurant selection in Angels Camp is pretty slim, especially places that are quick and near Bret Harte. Subway fit the bill. I use to always order the Cold Cut Combo or the Turkey and Cheese sandwiches. The six inch size on wheat bread (my attempt at eating healthy) were the perfect amount. Sometimes my friend and I would order a foot-long sandwich to share. Good way to save a little money! And of course what meal would be complete without an order of chips! Love those Sun Chips! Too long didn't read version : workers don't know what they are doing I came in and ordered the steak and cheese melt earlier and I got the impression that the workers didn't have a clue how to make it ... I frequently order this item at other subway locations since it's been out because I like it so much , but at this subway I had to practically tell them every step on how to make my sandwich, when she was putting it in the bag to toast the sandwich, steak was falling out and she didn't even put it back in , and the sandwich was shoved into the bag sloppily so that my sandwich was all deformed and messed up, and when I went to pull it out of the bag half my cheese had melted off the sandwich onto the side of the bag and that to my knowledge is what you pay for on these particular sandwiches is the extra cheese ... well my cheese ended up cooked onto the side of the bag and I was pretty bummed out with my experience there read more

My husband is in the hospital for E-COLI and the Manager Jimmy will not return My call. He had a Steak & cheese Sandwich, which He loved the Hefty helping only to find out this might kill Him as He is a Transplant Kidney survivor. I walked in to angels camp subway and one teenage worker was sitting down on her phone and the other teenage girl was making a Tik Tok video. She did not have her mask on. They were very unprofessional and rude. The girl that was making a tik tok took her mask off after she made my fiancé's sandwich and the other girl barely put any lettuce on my sandwich. Love !!! After coming from Columbia state historic park starving, Subway is a good place to stop. My daughter and i shared a foot long sub. We were in town on 9/13/14 for a cancer benefit. We stopped in for some sandwiches. I had my exchange student from Kazakhstan with me. She is unable to eat pork for religious reasons. The staff member who made our sandwiches went above and beyond to make sure that our sandwiches containing pork did not cross contaminate with her meatball sub. This included verifying that there was no pork in the meatball sub, changing her gloves after making a cold cut combo, and bagging the sandwiches separately. Thank you so much for the extra effort, it's nice to receive this level of exemplary customer service. Our sandwiches were fresh and delicious as well. My only regret is that we didn't have any cash for tip. Should I be in town and need a sandwich I will make sure to stop in and leave an extra big tip next time to make up for it. read more

Based on the brief moment I was in this subway i noticed a few things. FIRST thing I noticed was cleanliness. Empty tables were clean and with no crumbs on them and seemed to have been wiped down. SECOND is the staff was genuine and kind. This means a lot when you are working in a food service position. THIRD was that the sandwich I requested was on "POINT". Tasted amazing and fresh. These are things that I look for when I go eat a place. If they don't bother to be clean then they don't bother keeping food products properly stored. Just my thought. This is basically the best subway in this county or the next. Some of the privately owned Subways around here don't offer the discounts you see on ads, but this one always runs the promotions - special sandwiches, $5 footlongs, etc. I am almost always satisfied with the service. Sometimes I have to ask for extra toppings when they skimp, but even then these workers seem better trained at building the sandwiches than other Subways I've been to. Last summer, I did have a problem where an employee told me that I couldn't get a pre-9am deal because the computer said it was already past 9am (even though it wasn't). Poor subs and bad meats at this place.The hot pastrami was barely edible.Make sure you get your reciept before you leave,they will ask you if you want it.The reciept has the store id number and it`s the one and only way to complain if you have a problem.Best advice is to go elsewhere for a better quality sandwhich that is cheaper. read more
