The food was amazing & so was the service. Thanks Hand & Foot for great evening.

Definitely a spot where you could linger for a while. Food-wise, we ordered the fried rice with crispy chicken (breaded in crushed Cheerios--yes, Cheerios, and yes, surprisingly delicious!), the bánh mì, and the crispy chicken sandwich, which ended up being the star of the show. Every bite of that sandwich was perfectly seasoned, crunchy, and satisfying. We upgraded our side to the greens, which came topped with some mysterious orange ingredient--maybe a grated carrot dressing? Whatever it was, it was scrumptious. We also ordered a side of pickles, which were surprisingly affordable and so flavorful that they disappeared fast. We didn't try any drinks, but the menu had plenty of interesting options to choose from. One of my favorite parts of the experience was how family-friendly the place felt: while we waited, the kids grabbed a new-to-us game (The Enchanted Forest) from the board game shelves, which made the time fly by. Service was attentive and friendly without hovering, and overall we had a fantastic experience. If we lived closer, this would be a regular lunch spot for sure!

We traveled the 25 minutes from home to Alfred to try Duke's Main Street Pizza, because my wife was…read morein the mood for some "good" pizza. None of the local places really fit that description. We ordered the Xtra large Deluxe pizza along with 12 extra crispy, medium wings. The pizza arrived about 20 minutes later and I must say, the crust was tasty and had just the right texture. The sauce was excellent and the toppings were just the right amount with making the pizza, soggy. The wings were also pretty good, not quite as crispy as we like but they were good. The college students that worked there were all very polite and went out of their way to make us Senior citizens, feel at home. One plus is they have fountain drinks and bottle soft drinks. This pizza was definitely worth the ride and we had enough left over for another meal. We will definitely be going back.

Duke's has great drunk food, let me just tell you, and they know their clientele and have extended weekend hours, which is wonderful. They do currently have limited indoor seating for your COVID concerns, which is a nice respite from the frequently cold outdoors. Their waffle fries and breadsticks are my guilty pleasure. The fried dough is also satisfactory, and surprisingly not drowned in oil, haha. If only they didn't have so many calories :( Duke's has better pizza than Ade at Alfred University, which is sad. I'm pretty picky with my American pizza, but hey, it isn't as greasy as your standard pizza chains. I definitely prefer here to Domino's or Pizza Hut, take your pick. Their staff are extremely friendly, and wifi is available for students who want to get a hike on their homework while munching on some pizza. hint: the password is dukespizza Duke's is also pretty much the only restaurant in Alfred that delivers, and I was pleasantly surprised that the delivery guy was able to find my on campus apartment (mind you, with no official address). What's interesting for the 21+ around here, is they sell 6 packs of ciders, seltzers and beers, at not a totally ridiculous price, which is amazing. The local liquor store and convenience store are both super overpriced in comparison.
