Wellsville has a few gems for southern tier food and this place is often hyped for being a must try…read morein this area. I would agree- it definitely lived up to its name. This is a roast beef place. Flip to the back page and you want to try their roast beef entrees. The meat melts in your mouth. I recommend pairing this with their red skinned mash potatoes. I recommend a medium or medium rare to really appreciate the quality of this roast. We also ordered their fish tacos to change variety. get the Haddock for better moisture- mahi was the other option but I find mahi to be sometimes too fishy and dry unless paired with a more "Caribbean" vibe. Haddock holds a fish fry better in the taco. Unfortunately their slaw was not my fav. too sweet. It was like someone added an extra scoop of honey/sugar. I am definitely trying a roast beef sandwich or their ribs next time. Atmosphere was also great. Had that old school old pub feel but the exterior looked modern. Staff were friendly enough- our waitress was on their brisker end but nothing to where it affected our experience. Pricing was also reasonable for the quality of food. it won't break your wallet but probably couldn't eat there daily.

I'll take that one step further and let you know that I lived in Houston TX for 5 years and my friend lived in SC for 7 years, Beef Haus has the best ribs we've ever had in OUR LIVES! Such a cute place! So clean! So welcoming! Amazing Friendly owner, bartenders, and waitresses every single time. Outdoor seating in the summer. Beautiful private room to reserve. Great menu, meats, beer selection, wine selection, cocktails, and desserts. I found them a year ago and I've been back 5 times (I live 92 minutes away and drive there just for them). This place is 100 times better than the shell of what beef and barrel is currently and 20 times better than beef eaters. You need to do yourself a favor and experience Beef Haus before they sell and retire in the next few years!

FYI: CASH OR CHECK ONLY -- NO CREDIT CARDS!…read more Okay, my friend brought me to this old-school spot. She's been coming here since she was a kid, and apparently so have many others, so this place definitely has some history and nostalgia behind it. I'll be frank: hot dogs are one of those things I like, but I'm not really a fan of Zweigle's. I'm not from the area--I'm a Chicago Vienna hot dog person--so I decided to save myself any grief and ordered something else. My friend got the Texas Hot Dog, and even the smell of the meat sauce reminded me of Greek meat sauce or even Skyline Chili from Ohio. She also got fries and asked for gravy on them. She really enjoyed everything, and I think a lot of that comes from the fond memories she has of this place, which is definitely worth keeping in mind. I got the cheeseburger topped with the Texas Hot sauce and fries, and we both had a vanilla Pepsi. The place itself is very old-school and has a lot of charm. The staff was friendly and kind, which I always appreciate. That said, since I'm not from the area and don't have the nostalgic connection to this place, I honestly thought the food was kind of mid. I was hoping I'd like it more. The fries weren't particularly hot and didn't have much flavor, and I thought the Texas sauce could have used a little more seasoning or flavor. The cheeseburger was also served open-faced on a hot dog bun, which was...okay. Not a huge deal, just a little unexpected. Now I'm sure someone is going to read this and say, "You should have tried this" or "You should have ordered that," and maybe they're right. But I also think sometimes nostalgia for a place doesn't necessarily mean the food is going to be amazing to everyone. For me, it was more about experiencing a local, old-school institution with my friend and seeing a place that means something to her. And honestly, that part was pretty cool. Parking: Street or municipal parking.

It's an open table/communal table concept with a very long table inside you sit at, a bar, and just a few two-top tables that are more private. Our waitress was very nice and competent. We liked her a lot and the vibes were just easy going and friendly. We had a few things on the menu that looked good when we walked in and some plans - we thought we were probably going to for sure try the Beer Brisket Sandwich and or the Gyro. In the end we got: -two orders of Brisket Tacos with dipping sauce and greens (special that night) - soooooo good! -side of kale slaw - the rice wine vinaigrette was so good I could've just drank it! -Baked Amish Pretzel - topped with bacon and cheese. Loved this! My friend has a soy allergy - which can be tough at a restaurant, but our waitress was awesome and the whole staff were pros. She checked things out and promptly with the chef and came back to tell her what the chef recommended. 10 out of 10 - our favorite meal in the Finger Lakes by far. Fair prices and on the historic Market Street in a stellar location for shopping, walking, and just enjoying yourself.

Something that's becoming harder and harder to find these days is cleanliness, and Maybe Baby excels at it. The restaurant is always clean, and the bathrooms are, too. That attention to detail says a lot about the pride the owner takes in the business, and it's clear that pride carries over to the staff. Troy is usually behind the grill, and you can tell he cares about the quality of the food. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, the service is friendly, the food is fresh, and the experience is consistently great. Thank you to everyone at Maybe Baby for all you do. We appreciate having such a great local restaurant in our community!

The mat when you first walk in did slide a little. But the place looked really clean and very 50's themed. We got fried mushrooms, chili cheese fries, bacon cheese burgers. It was all pretty good. No complaints about the food. My wife said it was a really good chili on the fries. Some places don't have a good chili and this place does. I got a chocolate shake with malt. It was a good malt flavor in the shake. We will probably try it again.

The menus are on screens above the counters like a fast food place but the cashier was very helpful on navigating the items. The staff in general was very friendly and helpful. My wife ordered a chicken salad and was satisfied on the size and the contents in the salad. She said her chicken was very flavorful and juicy. I ordered a calzone and wings. The calzone had marinara in it like a Stromboli would. It was cooked to perfection and definitely was delicious. I got buffalo sauce on my wings. I ordered them extra crispy and they were not as crispy as I expected. Not saying they were not good because they were good. We also tried the Maine Soda. The Mexicane cola was not great. It had a different aftertaste that wasn't the best. It was in a glass bottle. I got baclava for a dessert. It was delicious. I do recommend this place but be aware it's not a cheap place but it's not super expensive either. Portions are good for the price. Will def try this place again.

If you're looking for a solid spot in Wellsville to grab some great food in a relaxed atmosphere,…read moreThe Arena is a must-visit. Located in a former bank with a distinctive round shape and floor-to-ceiling windows. Beautiful, well-kept landscape out front, it's hard to miss. The American flag proudly waving outside sets a warm, welcoming tone before you even walk in. Now onto the food--The Arena nails the essentials. Their pepperoni pizza is fantastic: a crispy, slightly charred crust with just the right chew, layered with gooey cheese and a generous helping of savory pepperoni. It's classic, flavorful, and hits the spot whether you're a local or just passing through. The chicken wings were very meaty in size. Everything is fried in beef tallow. And don't leave without trying their ice cream from Seneca Farms. Rich, creamy, and full of delightful cookie dough chunks. They offer sundaes and shakes, even some with booze. The service is friendly, the environment is clean, and the quality of food is consistently impressive. I believe it was the owner who came up to us after eating to check on the quality of our dinner. The Arena makes for a great family stop, casual date night, or a quick comfort food fix with a little extra charm.
