It's a festival of amazing, kind service team members and a fiesta-like atmosphere. I was immediately awed by the 3 foot drink that I saw someone drinking at the bar. :) We have been there many times since, sitting in both the bar and the dining room to enjoy some AMAZING food. I've tried about 6 things and my husband too - we both LOVE this place and will continue to visit often. Check it out!!

We ordered the veggie bowl, chimichangas, and chicken with grilled vegetables, and all three dishes turned out to be delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and the portions were satisfying. The service was a bit slow, likely due to how busy the restaurant was, but the quality of the food made up for the wait. Overall, we had a great meal and would consider stopping by again when passing through the area.

We were warmly greeted and led to a table in the bar area. While we looked over the menu we ordered some beer. Chips and salsa came out with our beers. The salsa was really fresh and tasty. Not spicy at all. I ordered the Nacion burrito with poblano pepper as my filling along with refried beans and rice as my sides. SCW had the fiesta salad which was massive. Everything on it was fresh and she had the spicy ranch as dressing on the side. My burrito was large and presented cut in half with some sticks holding it in place. It was delicious. The poblano pepper gave it an extra depth of flavor that really tasted great. The refried beans were good, it had a jalapeño on top which usually for me isn't spicy but this one had a kick. I really liked it. If you like spice as I do consider adding some jalapeño to your burrito. The rice was great as well. Service was excellent and the food was very filling. I finished it all and was full the rest of the day. We brought the leftover salad back to our room. So much food. I really enjoyed Nacion Taco and recommend it.

Heard they took over the Burgers and Brew place and someone from their restaurant in Penn Yan said…read morethe menu was different. Gave it a try after a concert at Point of the Bluffs. There were 3 of us and we went in with optimism but left with pessimism. Food was just OK. Complimentary chips were warm, tasty and BIG....but the salsa served with it was very ordinary. They serve a fresh type of salsa with sides as part of your meal and that was better than what was served with the chips. No Enchilada's on the menu for dinner (just lunch) and our waiter did offer to make them if I wanted. My wife ordered the Chile Relleno Burrito. She ate half and brought half home. Upon arriving at home she threw it out as she said she didn't like it. (Why she took it home?) She said she much preferred it served in an actual pepper as opposed to making it into a Burrito. I'm a challenge for two reasons. One I'm Gluten Intolerant and two I have that gene where Cilantro tastes like soap. Normally Mexican restaurants are good choices for GF people but I struggled and settled for the combo Fajita's. Very bland....lacked spices and 3 tiny corn tortillas. Overall we thought the food was very bland and ordinary. Not sure we'd give them a second try. If I undertand the situation correctly they also own Casa Mezcal in Penn Yan and another in Bath. They appear to be opening one in Farmington. Wish them luck but at the Hammondsport location the food could be a lot better.

The place was packed "good sign"! We walked in and it was very clean with tables and booths and an eat in bar. Our waitress was very nice and we explained that we weren't from around here and asked for a recommendation. She explained that most of their meat was from the owners farm and gave some very good recommendations but we had to try the daily special that was chicken and biscuits with gravy. So glad we did, it was delicious. That was after our appetizer of mozzarella sticks that were delicious and the bucket of marinara sauce. The portions were huge and we have enough food left over to eat atleast one or two more times. Everything was very reasonably priced. Appetizer, two specials and two drinks for $45 plus tip. Cannot beat that for food that good. Also, bathrooms were very clean.

The restaurant is now owned by Alfred University which made me trust the food a lot more. This also means that the employees are paid fair wages. Many little things on their own that collectively add up to a really bad experience. This is a food lab for Alfred State culinary arts school? If this is the best they can do, they need to re-evaluate the program because tonight they got an F all around. They can do a good breakfast, but apparently not dinner. Tonight's experience dishonors the astounding 70-year legacy of the Ninos family and the once-great Collegiate. Alfred State, you need to get your act together here. Alfred deserves better.
