Dried up, old, stale, chicken, cutlet

When a deli can't get a chicken cutlet on a hero right do you have to really think what is their value. I ordered a chicken cutlet on a hero with Russian and lettuce? The chicken was so old it was crunchy. See the picture below. I had to throw out half the sandwich as it wasn't even worth eating it at all. The sandwich had a weird odor which also put me off. The only saving grace was they delivered it very quickly, but it was inedible who cares

This place is close some friends, so I stop in occasionally for lunch. It's always busy, but the service is good and the line moves quick. The people who work there are really good at keeping things moving. They have a great selection of food, from pizza and Italian dishes to sandwiches and hot paninis. It's a deli with hot food and Italian choices, which is really nice. They have good salads too. The atmosphere is a little noisy, but it's a busy lunchtime deli, so it's not unexpected. They have a casual dining room too, which is a great option when you want to sit in and eat. I never think twice about going there, it's really a great place to stop in for a tasty lunch.

What I really wanted to give was ZERO star.. the other day my office coworkers order few breakfast and I ordered bagel with cream cheese. Wow!Wow... I paid extra $ for this?? Where's the cream cheese??? Do you see?? Seriously?? I understand price went up on everything but come on... My other coworker ordered hungry man on a roll. Never seen such skinny hungry man in my life...

"The Bistro" with a thin cutlet

This is still one of my favorite lunch spots. The paninis are a really good deal. They have a big assortment of already made paninis ready to heat and they are all good. I do notice that they have been getting stingy with the chicken on the onI order most "the Bistro" and I'm guessing that goes for the other ones also. Don't think people don't realize! Some bites don't have any chicken and the cutlets are now really thin. Just raise the price if you have to and don't skimp. Update 10-25-19: Not sure what's happening to this place. It seems like everything is dirty. Cash register is dirty, bathroom is disgusting with thick grime and dirt on the door, and last 2 times, no soap in Men's room. The dispensers didn't even have a bottle in them. This is troubling since the employees use the same bathroom and don't wash their hands with soap.

where's the grilled onion relish? The "diner style" grilled patty melt the fries ?? The ranch!!?

Smelled like burnt food as I walked in. The stench got worse as I walked around the shop. Pizza looks old. Will not be returning.

Besides the drinks there is also a wide range of pastries, food, and snacks. The place is new and modern and is very clean. It's a standalone shop with lots of parking available. You definitely have to try the pistachio croissant! Did not see any gluten free food choices.

It's Kafe time! Mokafe that is. This Melville spot is bringing the coffee vibes to ya (along with…read moreplenty of food options as well). My wife and I recently checked Mokafe out twice a couple weeks apart with each experience being pretty solid. Round 1 consisted of just coffee drinks which you'd expect to get from a place like this as the name has Middle Eastern connections to the coffee of that region. What you might not expect is the list of speciality lattes they have as they really load in some unique options (Kinder Bueno latte?!). My tiramisu latte was exceptional while my wife's Nutella latte also hit the spot. Round 2 we leveled things up by still getting coffee, but we also dove into some food options as I ordered the Turkish bagel with olives and my wife got the strawberry Nutella flat croissant. Starting with the sweet, that croissant was fantastic and definitely something unique. My bagel was also pretty legit though not a LI-type bagel as this was flakier with that olive spread inside many bites. Different to what I'm used to, but still quite enjoyable. What wasn't as spot on was my pistachio latte. Not a bad drink as Mokafe seems to handle their espresso well, but I couldn't really grasp any pistachio flavor. I'll try a different latte next time (plenty to choose from!). Before wrapping things up, let's tackle a few other important pieces. Setting is superb in the comfy (albeit green) booths and large amount of seating. It's definitely a cozy spot to sit and enjoy your cafe goods, though the music is sometimes a bit loud and kind of takes away from a place you'd feel like you could maybe get some work done. Pricing is pretty fair with a 24oz iced latte coming in at $7.50 which isn't too shabby with some places definitely over that dollar point. And staff were nice enough for our quick interactions, and they'll also bring out and/or buzzer when your drinks/food are ready which all occurred pretty quickly/smoothly. Overall, Mokafe is a delight. The setting is cool, the menu is sizable, the food/drink choices are pretty tasty, and the whole spot is rather unique to a coffee scene that honestly could be getting a little oversaturated so it's nice to see something different. I know a second Hicksville location just opened, so now let's work on getting one of these a little more east of Melville!

There's a tiny little free parking lot directly in front with 4-5 spaces and some spaces all the way in the back which was very cramped and full when I was there. I ended up parking in the free spots next door (much more spacious) for the flower shop and walked over. This deli has a ton of choices ranging from sandwiches, wraps, ramen, breakfast items and breakfast drinks, hot food to go (charged by the lb), Korean food, pre-packaged drinks as well as homemade looking drinks (ie teas, smoothies). Honestly I was pretty overwhelmed at all the options! I ended up picking #16 which was a grilled chicken wrap with 5 egg whites and turkey bacon. The chicken (a bit dry) needed some sort of flavoring like a sauce of some sort but it overall tasted okay because the flavoring was mainly the turkey bacon. I also got their japchae to go for lunch the following day which was very good. When waiting for my food, I was chatting with who I assume was one of the owners, super friendly and sweet by the way! I'll definitely be returning to get the ramen again and perhaps one of the homemade drinks! P.S. They close pretty early (2:30p?) so that kind of sucks.
