Dr Horn is great but the nurse that checked me in and did my EKG reeked of cigarette smoke and was complaining of being short staffed and the exam room was dingy. The front office staff was pleasant enough but was clearly sick with a cold. As I type this I can still smell the cigarette smoke from the nurse who also said she wasn't sure she could raise the exam table for me because she had a tube somewhere in her chest? She barely acknowledged me while taking my weight instead just complaining about being short staffed to the front office person. This experience may make me want to go back to my previous cardiologist. read more

Do not use this group. I've been going for years. No more. Joy-pardi is my cardiologist. Her NP came in my room once talking about a completely different patient. I let her hang herself until she figured out she had the wrong patient. First HIPAA violation Then a few years ago I passed out for absolutely no reason twice. My neurologist, ruled out neurology and said follow up with your cardiologist. What a joke. I called them three times and not day after day after day. I gave them a few days in between. I never got a call back. When I went from my appointment that year, I explained to the nurse practitioner what had happened and I wanted to speak to my cardiologist. He said never mind. I will tell her never got a call from her never ever even seen my cardiologist. The last time I went was this past December. I waited over an hour for my echocardiogram and I went up to the desk to find out what was the wait and she completely called me a completely different patient bsolutely no reason twice. I have been in to see my heart Doctor Who has been out for quite some time. The receptionist insists on knowing what my problem is and why do I need an appointment which I am not discussing my personal problems with her I gave her an idea of what I needed to see him for and that's all she needs to know. I have been on hold for over 30 minutes only for someone to come on the line and ask my date of birth and then put me on hold again. A PA by the name of Leah also was extremely rude to the pharmacist as well as myself, I have no idea who this woman is. I have never seen her and she should not be in the field. She since she does not know how to treat people! It has now been past two weeks. I still have not gotten a return call from my doctor and will be changing cardiologists. One of the most sickening and saddest things is that the majority of these patients are elderly and the staff could care less. Maybe if these girls would stop eating at their desk and pay more attention to the patients than they do their food and snacks, you might have a better office, but until then I'm out of there read more

Cursory exams from doctors who act like they're too busy for you to outright apathy from nurses and staff. A medical office with a full mailbox indicates no one is keeping up with checking messages. Their being short staffed is not the patients problem. Maybe they're overbooking. Our GP told us that my husband had a "severe" condition and to call his cardio specialist based on a test result she had sent over to them. There was no call from them so he called but had to leave a message requesting a return call. No call back so he tried again a few days later. Full mailbox. Called a third time and the scheduler said she'd get the test in front of a nurse who would call him. No such call happened. After almost 3 WEEKS of back and forth trying to get an answer while worrying and still no return call from anyone, we've had his records transferred to a new cardiologist who really cares about his patients and gives them the professionalism, time and care they deserve. You won't get any of that here. read more

Dr. Horn himself is great. He is one of the best Cardiologists around. In the many years of going to him, he always explained thing to me in an understanding manner. However, Suburban Cardiology needs an overhaul. Never can get a hold of anyone, all aspects of the office are in need of more support. Rude, unprofessional and dismissive staff- both the nurse and front staff. Unhelpful. Hung up the phone twice since I told them they were being unhelpful. Nurse Wouldn't take a message to send to Dr horn. I am a physician myself and have never experienced this bad customer care by medical staff ever!!!! Really disappointed in suburban cardiology and I don't think people like these should be allowed to work since they don't have patience to listen or willingness to help anyone in need while they are suffering from an illness. read more

HORRIBLE. One of the worst doctors I have EVER seen. Not only did she lack education, but also lacked any empathy or kindness. Dr Joy was one of the first doctors that aided in the development of my medical trauma & cPTSD. Due to her lack of care, I ended up having a medical emergency and nearly died due to her terrible care or lack thereof. I was 15 dealing with horrible symptoms that were disabling me, and nearly killed me. She barely spoke to me, wouldn't let me get a word in & told me there was nothing wrong with my heart, cardiovascular system or in general. She said I was perfectly fine all around and that I was just a hypochondriac that badly needed to get on psych medication and see a psychiatrist.. and that's when I told her I already was taking medication and seeing one, she said they clearly need to increase my dose because I'm making everything up. Her bed side manner is the worst I had ever dealt with and still top 3 to this day. I ended up having multiple things wrong including very apparent structural issues, rhythmic issues & many other issues with my heart & cardiovascular system. If she would've correctly diagnosed me I would have never ended up getting an unnecessary surgery a few months after seeing Dr. Joy. But no, since I was a young "anxiety ridden" girl, I was making it all up in my head. She invalidated everything I was going through when I could barely even walk at that point due to my cardiovascular issues. Just because a doctor isn't educated well enough to know what the symptoms & bloodwork I had pointed to so clearly, doesn't mean you should belittle a child. I usually see Dr. Horn once a year but this time I only saw his PA but I must say that Marty was very professional and answered all my questions with patience and understanding. However, as fas as the office goes, it leaves a lot to be desired. I just had a general question today but was unable to reach anyone. The general mailbox was full and not taking anymore messages and I thought maybe if I dialed the nurse extension, I'd get someone but that was futile also. This office needs a proper office manager . It is entirely too busy and for patients not to be able to talk to somone is crazy. I can leave a message for a callback, but who knows when that will be and i don't just sit around waiting for the phone to ring.. I like Dr. Horn and that's the only reason why I still continue to go to this office. He almost needs his own office and staff or I'm afraid he will start losing patients. I don't know if the problem is because whoever runs this office isn't willing to spend the money to hire more people. Something needs to be done. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. every appointment was a disaster, wrong dates for appointments were given, they had my name and birthdate wrong so they would not let me have my appointment one particular day. Every time I met with the receptionists, they were rude and dismissive and had made a mistake as to why I was there. The office staff are patient and always give accurate information. Pleasant. I had severe sleep apnea in 2019. I was hospitalized at Sisters Hospital for shortness of breath. Inpatient 4 days. Went on BYPAP machine. out of my mind so afraid I would die any day. Diagnosed with afib. Put on Digoxin and baby aspirin. 3 years later Losartan. I had a consultation with Dr. Judy Joy-Pardi. She was extremely patient with me and I would go so far as to say she was loving. I knew from the first 10 minutes I was in good hands. Really, really good hands. I lost weight 323 to 269. For some people it is extremely difficult to lose weight. I have a very, very good prayer life. Sincerely caring friends. Meditate every day. Strong, strong belief in the Mind/Body connection. I am sorta good at stilling my mind and choosing to be happy no matter what is going on around me. It increases my T-cell. The PAs are completely awesome. The portal is perfect. Always get a response. Dr. Joy has done something truly amazing with her life. I bet ya a nickel she is not in it for the money at all. The heart is such a VITAL organ and still sort a mysterious. I have had 4 good years because of the excellent care of Suburban Cardiology. Truly I THANK GOD that I found my way to Dr. Joy. She has been my Mom's cardiologist for 6 years. My Mom has a fib. She is 89. She receives excellent care. I love my Mom more than life. I believe with the help of Dr. Joy and the people who work for her I may get to keep my Mom for 10 more years. Her office staff is tremendous, extremely polite, patient, accurate and caring. I was having serious problems with my heart. I have been with Dr. Joy-Pardi since 2006. She saved my life. I had just had a very rude, life-changing, awful appointment and with another doctor who scared me something awful. I was so scared. I just wanted to walk away from my diagnosis and take my chances. Dr. Joy was highly recommended to me so I took a chance and made an appointment. I am so thankful that I did. She was caring, compassionate, and took away my fears immediately. I trust her implicitly. Granted there are issues with the staff. i ran these on line reviews and I had to write, I had a heart problem, My doctor sent me for all kinds of test, about 8 in all, when my test were done i was to go back and see her, unfortunately my doctor pasted away, now I need these test read to give me results , but no doctor would read them, I good friend suggest I call Dr. Joy, I did they made me appt. in a day, called all the placed that did my test for the results, and Her and the staff doing this kept me here, on this world, So if you want a great Doctor who is a straight shooter, and not all the fancy words, she is that doctor, and you will be glad you saw her. read more

To summarize my experience: I was referred to SC by my primary physician, for an EKG. I do not live in Buffalo presently, so this visit took place when I was home (Buffalo) for the holiday (December '18). I went back to Seattle the very next day, after my appt. Fast forward to May 21st 2019, and I received a FINAL notice in the mail. I had received zero statements prior to this letter. Roughly 6 months had gone by, and I receive a FINAL notice from SC that I owe $525. I called, the member I spoke to was rude, and insisted that the letters were sent. I found it odd that I somehow missed all 3 previous letters that they claimed were sent (doubt it), but somehow I managed to receive the FINAL notice just fine. I contacted my parents to make sure SC didn't send anything to their house, and they confirmed that nothing was sent. The letter itself was very poorly worded and offered no itemization, dates of service, or even a contact number. I had to Google their number. The tone was hostile as well. The letter was dated 5/15/19, but I didn't receive it until 5/21/19, and they had the nerve to give me 10 days to pay. I called today (5/22/19) and made the payment in full, but PLEASE avoid this provider. If you have other options, use them. They are not transparent, not communicative. On top of that I requested they email me a copy of my payment receipt, and the address the receipt was sent from was "suburbancardio@gmail.com" - which is pretty off putting, considering the size of the establishment. Not to mention the email was sent to my Gmail account, and Google labeled it as a phishing attempt. In summary, this was all very unprofessional, and left a bad taste in my mouth. AWFUL experience, I overheard staff getting patients confused, they were very rude. Said I looks fine but wanted to do more testing to milk my insurance for even more money. I'm really not sure why my Primary would recommend this place. I was seen here many years ago when there was still a decent cardiologist on staff but he has since retired. I saw Dr. Joy-Pardi for a recurring irregular heartbeat that has plagued me on and off since my 20's. I am now 60 and this last bout was concerning so I decided to get checked out. Upon arriving in the office, I noticed right away that there is a distinct unprofessional atmosphere and the young women on staff neither dress appropriately or act professionally in any way. One of the staff walked in with cupcakes or a cake for the rest of the staff and was still eating her lunch and talking loudly at the check-in counter. I let that go. It was determined that I needed to have another EKG and be fitted for a holter that I'd wear for a few days. Okay, the EKG was done and a nurse came in the room to set me up with the holter. She gave me a rude 30 second explanation of how to work the unit and left the room. It turned out that they didn't even give me enough tabs for the 3 days so I had to abort after 2. When I returned with the unit after the weekend, there was no apology for the missing tabs and just a rude "okay, she'll look at your results and give them to you at the follow-up". When I went back for the follow-up, the 'Dr.' (and I use that term loosely) came in and told me I didn't have any problem while she looked at the holter results for the first time on her laptop. Needless to say, I was very happy that she didn't see anything and left with already having paid what I thought were all my co-pays. Not! I have received more bills for the EKG and the reading of the holter and something else that is still unexplained. After calling BC/BS and getting their take, I sent another $50 that my insurance didn't cover for some reason. Now they're still sending me bills for another $16 and change for God knows what. Bottom line? This is a terrible provider and they are predatory billers and I would never trust this practice with any aspect of my health, let alone my heart. read more
