Stopped by on our way from Southern California to Scottsdale to take a break from the road for lunch. What a hidden gem! Protein shakes, fresh sandwiches and salads plus desserts for those inclined. In between my commutes between Arizona and California, I usually stop by at this location for pizza (similar to Mod Pizza or Pizza Studio though I can't seem to recall the exact name at the moment) and was surprised to see that it was no longer in existence. I was about to settle for Subway, which was located less than a few minutes away, but decided to give "Subs N' Sips" a chance. Upon walking in, I felt slightly overwhelmed with so many options and not knowing what would be delicious. I decided to ask and order the employee's favorite sub and the way he likes to customize it. He ended up making some form of a "Spicy Italian" and I was not disappointed at all. It was so good that I decided to come back the second time on my return trip. I also ordered a detox, but it's nothing spectacular. Fresh ingredients though. Shout out to the employee with the ponytail/man bun that didn't mind obliging with my request of making his favorite sub for me. I decided to try their 6-inch sub filled with turkey and crispy bacon, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations--it was rather bland and lacked flavour. To round off my meal, I ordered a plain cheesecake, which was disappointing as well; it had a stale taste, making me question its freshness. This was my first experience at the restaurant, and I can confidently say it will be my last. Had a delicious late lunch and smoothie here with the family and Esmeralda and Ashu were so helpful and answered all my questions about the menu so patiently. Ordered a large smoothie with pineapple, blueberry, banana, lime and raspberry with coconut milk. Again, Ashu and Esmeralda were so helpful in letting me know the size, milk options and ingredient recommendations when there was no mango in stock. Made a tuna sandwich with pepper jack cheese toasted with veggies and Esmeralda packed four pieces separately for me. The pizza was also so yummy-added mushrooms, olives, bell peppers and extra provolone on top. Everything we ate was worth it, especially the smoothie and pizza. I was worried the pizza would be too small when they said it was an 8 inch in 4 sliced but wow, so hearty and filling. They also keep the bathroom clean and there is a diaper changing table in the women's restroom and they have high chairs. I had a good feeling when I walked in and saw the lounge chair and chessboard. My only regret is not trying the fresh juice. So glad we find this great spot! It is basically a Subway clone with slightly better ingredients as well as better portions/more meat and better prices. They also have a lot of other things in the store like bottle drinks, baked dessert goods, Thrifty ice cream, etc. Service was great and the interior was very clean and comfortable. We live locally and I've been eagerly waiting for them to open. We finally had it the other night. It was so delicious and the bread was really good. I had the Chicken Bacon and my husband had the pastrami. My only recommendation is the chicken was a little strange. It was dry chunks of dark meat and I wish they had avocado slices. I feel like the sandwich would be better with fresh rotisserie white meat chicken or even sliced chicken! My husband loved his pastrami and had no complaints. I wish I took pictures to put on their Yelp. They need to advertise their food/ menu so people can see what it looks like because the sandwiches were way better looking then I even expected! Needless to say we will be going back soon. I just don't think I'll get chicken. read more

I found this place on my way through to phx and it really surprised me! The place is spectacularly clean. There are three huge tvs and it's comfy. The sandwiches are AMAZING. You can tell they use only the highest quality ingredients. And they have turkey bacon! It was slightly cheaper than Subway! But 100% better in my opinion. read more
