Food is good. Weird soups though. Owner is rude and unfriendly . You can tell she thinks she's very high brow

"Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there."…read more-John Wooden I have to believe when Starbucks started out, they had the ability to get to the top which is why they seized the coffee house market and have dominated for so long. However, I truly think Starbucks has lost its character. What else could explain my visiting two different Starbucks locations more than 100 miles apart in the same day and getting SHITTY attitudes from two different baristas at said Starbucks? At this particular location, I was a little surprised to see the coffee of the day being served out of thermos pumps. I don't recall having seen that before, and it may be standard operating procedure, but as a consumer, it turned me off. It made me wonder why I was paying Starbucks premium for coffee that was being kept warm and pumped out of a thermos carafe. One thing I was going to compliment this location on was how nice their baked goods display looked. However, I was taking a picture on my phone and was halted by the barista saying I couldn't take pictures of their things. Again, I don't know if this is standard operating procedure, and this is the only barista out of a hundred Starbucks I've visited to enforce it, or if this was just another way for this particular barista to share her "sunny" disposition (that's sarcasm) with me. I think anyone can go on Starbucks website and see the food items they offer. It's advertised and public knowledge, so I'm unsure how preventing photos applies here. Anyway, was glad to see that Rochester finally got a Starbucks; but after this visit, I'm not so sure that's a good thing.

Walt, the owner is exceptional; he shows passion in everything he does and it's clear he cares deeply about his establishment. I have enjoyed several different coffee drinks. The two I'd highlight as perhaps the most original offerings in town are the Quest Coffee Latte (it's made with protein powder) and the hot nitro brew. I personally love the hot nitro. As far as food and snacks, they always have excellent locally sourced goods. I believe they pulling treats from Mama Inez, a local Hispanic bakery and also Scones and Doyles (European bakery). The final highlight I'll mention is the space; it's huge! This coffee shop sits across two store fronts. One side gives study room/university vibes, while the other is more of a traditional shop. So if you want a quiet study area, you have it. If you want the atmosphere of a fully alive coffee shop, you've got it!

There were a number of pastry options that are made in house or at their sister location. The clerks are friendly and helpful. The dining room is comfy with tables suitable for working. The roasted tomato and cheese scone was delicious and filling. It was served warm on a real plate. They sell fresh breads (reasonably priced), pastries, oils, locally roasted coffee and other coffee related items. The bread looked really good and I was kicking myself for not picking up a loaf. Parking is tight around the building, but available during my visit. I definitely stop back by and try a lunch sandwich.

I went in and waited in line. When it was my turn a gentleman walked in behind me. He stood very close, breathing heavily. The owner completely ignored me and took his order. I have never been completely disrespected like that by a business owner. I walked out and will never give this business another chance. If you cant show a paying customer the respect they deserve. You don't deserve to be in business at all. There are many options for way better coffee and donuts in Plymouth. But if bad service is your thing, this place is for you. Infact, it will probably be your favorite because their service is by far among the worse anywhere.
