Not even the decency to share their vehicle insurance information. Its sad that I had to file a CHP report and file a small claims lawsuit in OC court to try to motivate them to take care of this.

I rearranged my schedule twice to accommodate them during what was already an exceptionally difficult time, as I was preparing to say goodbye to my 16-year-old dog that weekend. Chris did arrive on Friday as promised, but a week has now passed and I have received neither a bid nor any follow-up communication from anyone at the company. Shortly after the appointment, their Thumbtack profile was also removed or hidden. While I can't say why, the timing was odd, as it prevented me from leaving a review on the platform where we originally connected. I've uploaded screenshots with this review documenting the interaction, including Chris's last-minute cancellation, his offer of a 5% discount, and the Thumbtack notification showing the company was no longer available on the platform. Our project involved a new driveway, several retaining walls, flag stone, leveling the yard, drainage, irrigation and planting. We had a general idea of what we were looking for, but Roland made the process easy to take our ideas and turn them into a finished product. Given his years of doing this he was also a good one to enhance what we we wanted to do, or alternatively tell us "that is not a good idea". We were on a timeline to get the job done and he was able to deliver. One thing that is really helpful with Newland Landscape is that he has multiple crews working. This allows him to shift resources around as needed. I think we had people at the house working every day, and some Saturdays. In our experience this is a rariety with many contractors. We had to do our work as well, staying ahead of him picking out materials, plants, etc. but with that he was able to stay on track with our need. I would highly recommend Roland and Newland landscape for medium to large jobs.

I've been here almost 2 years now and anytime I need anything, I call them! I want the same quality and attention to detail that already exists here. I had to have a cinderblock wall added to and 16 podocarpus trees planted on my side yard. The wall turned out great and was completed within 2 days and all of the trees, plus the wood planter border were completed in one day!!!! Unbelievable! After initial contact they sent someone out rather quickly to give us an estimate. We were not sure of doing the project until our project manager contacted us and offered to send us digital renderings of the job. After seeing the rendering we contracted with them. It took them a few weeks to start the job but once they started it happened very quickly. They replaced our concrete walkway with Angelus pavers and it turned out very nice. It took them a week to pick up the unused the pavers, which was a bit long in my opinion. We have a couple of other areas that we will redo in the near future and I would consider using them again.
