His cost was below another bid we received from a much larger Madison company that has a very good reputation but took days to respond to us. Spent an hour and a half trying to get someone on the phone to discuss the issue. I explained that our AC was out, that we have two babies in the house and we need to get it fixed ASAP. The man I spoke with offered to have a scheduler call me in the morning. "We're busy and we can't answer your call, but we can come at X time" would be understandable. But a simple "I can have a scheduler call you tomorrow between 8AM and noon to schedule an appointment"? That's not a very reasonable response from a company claiming to offer 24 hour service. You don't offer 24 hour service. You have a 24 hour answering service. There is a difference. The business replied to my review on FB saying the following: "With all due respect, at this time we were servicing a walk in freezer that was not working. This customer could have lost $5,000+ worth of frozen product if we did not fix their emergency call immediately. In addition, it was 66 degrees the evening Mr. Kilborn called (see screen shot of Weather Channel). And, Mr. Kilborn misunderstood, he was informed that he would receive a call the next day at 8AM to schedule an appointment." After spending 90 minutes waiting for a return call, only receiving it after my third message with their answering service (I'm not sure why I tried so many times), they said nothing about being busy. They said, very plainly, "We can have a scheduler call you tomorrow between 8 and noon to schedule an appointment." Had they explained they were on an urgent call, or had their answering service say "Hey, our people are tied up this evening, sorry," I would have just moved on. But we had a good experience in the past with them, so I waited. And waited. And waited. And yes, it's 66 degrees this evening. But it's 76 inside the house, and I've got two babies, one sick, that we're trying to keep asleep. We ended up moving to a hotel, and Harker will be here first thing in the morning. Problem solved. My criticism isn't that they couldn't handle the service call. It's that the communication was so poor. And, I suppose, that they had time to refute a Facebook review but didn't have time to call back and quickly say sorry, we're busy, can't help this evening.

We called a couple of places around and they told us we were out of luck for a few days, but Bethke's dispatch team was really accommodating and had a tech, Mike, at our house within less than two hours. Mike was extremely knowledgeable about the issue at hand and was able to fix it quickly. He also explained to me everything that he did, and I feel confident that I could do it myself now if it came down to it. He also gave me some helpful reminders about maintenance. I thought we were going to pay an arm and a leg, but the bill was the best part. Incredibly reasonable prices for lightning fast and thorough service. I would call these guys again in a heartbeat, and I think you should too.

Expensive service call yielded zero results. We have two CO detectors in our house, one upstairs,…read moreone in the basement. Both went off within seconds of each other just after I turned up the furnace in the morning. Bethke sends a tech out, I need to wait there and miss work, so that's not helping. Guy gets there, immediately makes up his mind that my detectors are faulty because they are old. Does a simple check for CO at the heat exchanger exhaust and the outlet into the ducts and comes up with a low CO reading. 20 mintues later, I'm $240 lighter with no real answer as to what happened. I checked my CO detectors later and they were working. So... I paid $240 for a half-assed, incomplete diagnostic by a monkey with a 5-gas analyzer. If I did that as an auto mechanic, I would be through. Do yourself a favor and call another company.

Friendly, thorough, and really good service value. They took off all the vent covers and cleaned with brushes, not just blowing air through. Ron was also really quick to respond when I first called to set up the appointment, checked in the morning of my appointment, and showed up on time.

My house is only 12 years old, but it had so much dust build-up every week, I was tired of dusting! Ron showed me the build-up left in the ducts from building 12 years ago! What was most shocking was when he took me outside and cleaned my dryer vent from the outside- so much debris! That is a fire hazard! They were efficient and cleaned up after themselves.
