The guys were very professional and clean. My new counters look amazing. They were referred to me and I would absolutely refer them also.

I wasn't exactly sure how the process worked or what I wanted. She helped me make choices that worked out exactly as we had hoped. Everything from choosing the countertop, sink and faucet, to measurements and install went very smoothly. So glad we went with Top of the World.

We met our interior designer at their showroom and had our architectural plans with us, which I recommend. The process of choosing materials for your home's counter-tops, backsplashes, and other surfaces couldn't be easier. I recall them having a good amount of "stock" surfaces to choose from when we built back in 2011, but their choices have significantly expanded since then. We were able to select from a wide variety of quartz and granite at a very reasonable price point, but they have a huge selection of materials should you want something other than their stock selections. They are also happy to price out different material choices for you before you make your final choice, which makes the process that much better. Top it off with great service and professional installation and choosing Top of the World Granite becomes a no-brainer and I can recommend them without hesitation.

I would categorize their installer's work as precise, detailed and competent. They premeasured our kitchen way in advance and created templates for the new granite tops. When the day came to install the granite top, it went like clockwork. They also made the backsplash so its thinner than the counter top. Very nice to look at. This may be a minor detail but its important. I thought their price was fair for the quality of the work. One thing noticeable was that they color-matched the adhesive they applied between the backsplash and the counter. Because of the cost of putting Granite (or quartz), we took our time (about 8 mos) selecting a contractor. We shopped at 5 places plus attended the Parade of Homes where we could see the installed work. The parade of Homes is a great way to get ideas and see work of various contractors. IMHO, selecting a contractor to do granite, quartz or any solid surface work cannot be rushed. And price should not be the sole basis. Best advise - ask to look at several of their work. I have seen work of other installers that made me feel really good that I went with GLGW. There are cheaper alternatives out there but as they say "you get what you pay for". I highly recommend them.

Unless you want to be frustrated and finish the job yourself after spending a lot of money, avoid this company. The selection of products is good and the quality of the granite stone is great. The service, installation, and finishing were poor. We were told installation would be two weeks after the design was submitted and the downpayment paid. Five weeks later, the installation was scheduled. No call, no show! One day off from work burned. Another week goes by after making a few calls and sending emails. Finally, a call out of the blue to install on that day. But only part of the countertops because the "guys at the shop did not polish the bottom of the island. Another week and a half and the island is brought to the house but not the rest of the countertops or the backsplash. After another week, another call out of the blue to come and do the installation. Another excuse; the owner says he left the keys to the truck at home. Another day off work burned! A couple of days later, a call out of the blue asking if anyone would be home for the installation. Finally, the last countertop and backsplash are to be installed. The backsplash sections are not even but supposedly, the wall is not straight so it's the best that can be done. The rounded corners are jagged but "if I use any type of diamond drill, it can be smoothed out." When I started to install the kitchen hardware, the drilled granite access holes are too small, the sink holes do not align with the drilled granite access holes, and the cut-outs for the electrical outlets and boxes are not large enough for the screws to align with the electrical boxes. At this point, the final payment had been submitted and there is no more contact. I texted, emailed, called, and spoke to a person in the office, and no returned phone calls, emails, or text messages. After two weeks, of waiting I am doing the finishing and polishing myself. A two-week project turned into an eight-week nightmare. https://www.hollandsentinel.com/story/business/2023/01/30/west-michigan-contractor-arrested-after-failing-to-complete-work-appear-in-court/69852441007/

My wife and I went to Granite Direct fr a piece of granite for a bathroom vanity and after dealing…read morewith Russ we had it all laid out for with Russ, we had the stone marked out for where we wanted it cut so all of the veins would match (keep this part in mind for later). We then spent the next month and a half finding tile colored to match the piece of stone we chose. We finally got the bathroom to the point where we could have the top set and contacted Russ to make the appointment to have them come out and template. The appointment was set for a Thursday, the people showed up on Tuesday. We contacted the store (Russ again) and said it must have been a mix-up due to similar names on the calendar, the appointment for Thursday was still set. My wife took a four day weekend (Thursday and Friday) as long as they were set to come out on Thursday she may as well get some other things done that Friday. They never showed up. Contacted the store again, "They'll definitely be there tomorrow." (Friday) Again... never showed up. Now bear in mind, we understand that a single bathroom vanity isn't a big dollar job but, it's important to US. Saturday we went and talked to Russ (again), and he said he was having issues with his installers (not our problem but, it's turning into our problem) so he'd show up and do it himself, which he did that following Monday after hours. Asked him approximately when the stone would be ready for install and he said he had a huge job coming up and he wanted to get it done before then so, about a week and a half. Got the call that the stone was ready and made the appointment to have it installed, two weeks after the template was measured on a Friday. Installer showed up at the agreed upon time WITHOUT the backsplash. He said he would get the situation resolved and contact us first thing Monday morning. Monday morning came and went and I heard nothing, as I work about a mile down the road, I drove up to the store during my lunch hour to find out why it is so difficult to get a simple vanity installed in a timely manner and wound up being berated by Russ in front of two other employees. I was told "I'm tired of being yelled at over this job..." (pretty sure I hadn't yelled at him once, and he'd definitely know about that) "...we can just come pull the granite and be done with it." Now, please realize, if this had been for me personally, I would have said "Let's go, I'll follow you. Just give me back the money I've already paid you." and I would have found another source for a countertop. But, it's for my wife, and one does not simply toss a month and a half of tile searching with your wife in order to make things easy. It's Wednesday morning now, my wife sends me a picture of the countertop via text(Remember what I asked you to keep in the back of your mind for later?), I look at the picture and the countertop is backwards. The part that we had drawn pictures of, and spent 45 minutes discussing the layout of the grain in relation to the splash... all wrong. Long story short. Find someone who will appreciate your business for what it is, big or small. It's money you earned and want to pay for a service that's deserving. Granite Direct in Kentwood (Grand Rapids), Michigan is Definitely not deserving.

I called Jerry Dylhoff, the owner of Kitchen and Bath Unlimited, who originally installed the faucets. He told me the kitchen sink was made by Kohler and the one in the bathroom by Eclipse. He suggested I call Kohler and request the part needed to fix the problem. He provided their phone number and the part number of the faucet. When it came to the other faucet he told he'd have to look to see who made it. While looking, he discovered he had purchased the same faucet to use for display purposes. Since he still had it seven years later, he saw no need to keep it and asked if I would like to have it and if so, he would give it to me for free. I could not believe my ears. He even delivered the faucet to my house later in the day. This is a faucet I have been trying to fix for months and had resigned myself to having to buy a new one. I could not believe in one phone call he had helped me resolve two faucet issues in a matter of minutes. My wife was excited to as it meant the "honey do" that had been on her list for me for a long time would finally be completed. Folks, this is what outstanding customer service looks like and to me Jerry lives this everyday. On my next remodel or faucet replacement I have no question who I will call. I hope you do too. Thanks Jerry on a job well done from one very satisfied customer! Sincerely, Gary Stafford Mattawan, Michigan

From the moment we walked in the first day, Jerad, the owner, treated us like close friends and helped us with every step of our vision. He made time WELL after business hours and sat with us for over two hours planning every inch of our kitchen. Over the course of the remodel he was always available when new hiccups came up and was a frequent visitor during construction to make sure things were proceeding smoothly. We found their pricing very fair and there were no surprises at any point. Jerad asked what our budget was early on and kept to it, but produced gorgeous results. We got the "30 year kitchen" we were promised, and we couldn't be more pleased. Thank you!
